Scott S I went to my music store last Thursday asking what effects do I need to get that crimson and clover sound. They told me tremolo, but I’m digging this way more. I’m only one lesson deep into my guitar journey and this sound is what I’m into. Also kinda reminds me of Pink Floyd
The drive feature in this pedal sounds so great, that I don't understand why you didn't showcace it with all the phase shifting turned down, especially since the guy from Fender says he consider it almost like a separate pedal.
I have one and I’m not quite ready to get a different Rotary…yet? But, I’m not in love. Positives are the feature set, and the sound, with one caveat. You can’t really get rid of the Drive? I wish you could zero it out, and have the effect with no distortion? Can’t get above unity with the Drive turned down.
Hi, thanks for your interest! This pedal is designed for guitar but will work well with keyboards like your Hammond, as well. Many keyboard players also really like the Neo Instruments Ventilator for a super-authentic Leslie simulation: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Ventilator2--neo-instruments-ventilator-ii-rotary-speaker-simulator-pedal Thanks again, and feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions! Hey, Bell Tones. Appreciate your inquiry! Mini Vent sounds as good as its larger sibling the Ventilator II, but is preset only and in a smaller footprint. The Pinwheel has a really deep feature set with expression pedal and multiple modes. It's also full stereo, where the Neo is mono in stereo out. Plus it's a more affordable option. Please contact me direct with other gear questions or needs. Thanks! Robert Williams, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 2371, robert_williams@sweetwater.com
I love the sound of all the new Fender Pedals. Too bad the input/output aren't at the top of the pedals. The size is already bigger than most new pedals. I think they really missed out on a great opportunity to sell them to musicians with limited space on their pedal boards. Just my opinion!
it has 5 input/output/jack ports, i think they couldn't possibly put all the jacks on the top of the pedal, which also in my opinion a better position for a pedal this size
I like it. Gotta be 2 to 3 hundred. I bought a phase 90 used off of reverb. Worked great for a week then it crapped out on me. This might take its place.
Hey sweetwater. I've listened to probably 30 demos of this pedal and not one damned one demoed it with a keyboard. Not one, anywhere. Be original and show the entire capabilities of the thing or is there no one in your store that can play keys? I need one desperately but there is obviously a reason why no one is willing to show me what it sounds like. And with a guitar, it is nothing more than a tremolo pedal.
Bought it, tried it, returned it. The Tech 21 Rotochoir is a FAR better pedal at less cost. The Pinwheel It is a pretty mediocre pedal, with a HUGE gap in the speed adjustment between the slow and fast rotations- the fast won't go slow enough, and the slow won't go fast enough- hence, an glaring lack of medium speed. The stereo field has no adjustment (as has the Tech21 Rotochoir and the Strymon Lex), and the modes are hardly distinguished from each other except for what sounds like some EQ adjustment. I never thought I'd find an on/off LED to be TOO BRIGHT, but this one is like having a headlight in your eyes, quite obnoxious. No battery compartment (no biggie, but still)- and the other features just don't make up for the glaring poor speed options, and overall bland tone that fails to capture the personality of a Leslie cabinet. Thumbs down on the Pinwheel--- my Rotochoir is a far more interesting and pleasurable pedal to use.
Who disliked this? Jeez. Pedal sounds amazing, beautiful and smart layout with the leds.
maybe some organ players
No mix control
Sounds and looks great. Its always nice to see a company like Fender continuing to innovate and produce for their customers.
I’m a sucker for these swirly sounds. The tune of “Crimson and Clover” popped into my head as I listened to it.

That last part certainly sounded like Shambala.
Yes! Demo with stereo outputs, the way a Leslie SHOULD be heard.
For effects such as these, all I need to know is the slowest speed, and the fastest speed.
The drive feature in this pedal sounds so great, that I don't understand why you didn't showcace it with all the phase shifting turned down, especially since the guy from Fender says he consider it almost like a separate pedal.
They should make that 'drive' control available to an expression pedal. It would be quite useful.
A competitor to my fave rotary pedal, the Tech 21 Roto Choir
Does the pedal work like a leslie rotary horn (the 122)?
A must buy.

Wow...I like this pedal
How would this sound on a hammondxk1C?

Don't say Leslie, don't say Leslie, don't say Leslie...
Say 122 122 122 145 145 145
Sounds amazing. Anyone have a sense for how it compares to the Mini Vent?

That sounds good
Sounds more like a vibe... very few pedals can imitate a good leslie sound

Sounds more like a Uni-Vibe than a true rotary speaker simulator (Ventilator, Lex, Rotosphere, etc.).
Sounds very good on its own, though...
Sounds better than strymon lex
You guys are funny, you didn’t try not once speed/slow ramp switch
You didn't demo the slow/fast
Awesome....

The only rotary i want

This is a QVC presentation.

Wanted an MXR Flanger, then wanted a CH-1, but this does the sounds of both!
Ibanez Dual Analog FL99.
@@jumpingman8160 best Flanger I e ever used, without question. The FL99. Hard to find tho
I would say this is quite different. Closer to a phase or vibe than a chorus/flange
@@LeviBulger indeed.
that's a lot of knobs
No one has a good video of this pedal too much talk and too little to listen to
Buying it is the best way to listen to it. Lots of good reviews.

Question: The Strymon lex is better?
Too. Much. Talking.
Pity it doesn't have a mix control
