Saga prefecture was the best part of my Japan trip back in 2019! Unfortunately, I didnt get the chance to try the Saga ramen (I filled up on Hakata Ramen and Nagasaki Champon) but I will definitely correct that when I visit next year.
DId i hear you say "Brand new seriess" coming our way!!? learning so much-1st japan trip in December and have many of your visited shops pinned thanks so much for what you do!
Very nice. Saga and Nagasaki are mapped out for a visit in December 2024. I had never seen the kanji for tonkotsu @4:05 (豚骨) so now I know it is literally pork bone ramen.
That's awesome! Nagasaki is a fantastic place to visit too...beautiful scenery as well. Make sure to try some Champon down there. When you see those kanji (豚骨)...you know you're at the right place 😃
Yoshinigari Historical Park is a great park, glad you took us there. Frank, you literally will walk for miles and miles for Ramen. Glad that nice lady picked you up and drove you around. You are a trooper. All the Ramen looked oishii 🍜😋
Great video again thank you! Was nice to hear and see details like the ticketing systems, locality, scenery, a bit of history, about a helpful local, Saga beef, your book reading by the canal, buses etc.
Hey Frank! Glad to see a new video. That ramen looked amazing and will hopefully be a destination for me eventually! I can't wait to get back to Japan and eat more ramen!
Thank you for the content! The ramen looks so good, the scenery so beautiful and your explanation for everything makes this video perfect and enjoyable! Looking forward for longer content like this!
Great video. The historical site is actually on my to do list for my next visit to Japan so it was fun getting to see it in your video. I love the tone of your videos. Keep up the great work!
Love dropping raw egg into piping hot ramen. The hot broth poaches the egg a bit. The second bowl appealed to me the most though I'm not really a huge fan of broth that's purely pork-based. That Saga beef is a winner!
I mostly know of Saga prefecture from Zombieland Saga, and it looks like a really nice place! Always love seeing the rural and underrated side of places like this that don't get much love from gaijin tourists. The person who helped you drive your way back to your hotel is also really sweet! Also as a lover of eggs myself, all the ramens looks really delicious!
A fun introduction to Saga (Zombieland Saga)! Def nice to visit places that aren't overly crowded. Hope to highlight more of these rural hidden gems in videos! Yes, very sweet of the person to drive me back and you'd love these bowls as an egg lover!
3:08 buwoob 😭😭 Anyway, that historical site is awesome, was it come from an Edo era or something? It's so cool, I got the strong old japan vibes from that
Anyone been to Saga? Would be pleasantly surprised if that's the case 😃
glad you dropped this vid im going soon!
Only the edge in Karatsu a few years ago.

I thought it was Sega? hahaha, jk.

Love the fun side adventure
Was a lot of fun going there too! Thanks for watching.
visiting at the end of the month, was not planning on getting ramen in saga but you have persuaded me
Oh, cool! Might as well if you're already doing Fukuoka. Next up in this series is Fukuoka!
@@5AMRamen woo hoo!

You must be so excited for your trip! You might return home a bit heavier from the sound of things 😅
Enjoy all the ramen!

the second bowl stood out. great color on it. will one day make a trip to all your destinations. 👑
The lightning at that ramen shop happened to be the best of the three too 😃. Really brought out those colors. Saga will be waiting for you.
Bonuspoints for the Netherlands reference! :D
I miss the Netherlands 😃
@@5AMRamen I miss Tokyo! Wanna trade places? :D
How lovely of that lady to help you out.

The ramen were all oishii! Thanks for walking along with me...all of that walking def helps with noodle digestion 😃
it's how you stay so thin Frank 🙏@@5AMRamen
Excellent reviews. I learn so much. Keep up great work 😅
Thanks for watching! Will do 😃
Great video again thank you! Was nice to hear and see details like the ticketing systems, locality, scenery, a bit of history, about a helpful local, Saga beef, your book reading by the canal, buses etc.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching! This one had a good amount of variety 😃
Love the raw egg.....
Tokushima is another prefecture where they use raw eggs as toppings 😃
What a tale from this prefecture's ramen, Frank! Glad you included Yoshinogari--a very important site.
Thanks for watching! Saga was a lot of fun.
Hey Frank! Glad to see a new video. That ramen looked amazing and will hopefully be a destination for me eventually! I can't wait to get back to Japan and eat more ramen!
Japan awaits you return! Maybe Saga for the next trip 😃

Thanks for watching! Please stay tuned for the next one...coming out soon 😃
I really like that you gave us a little bit more background on yourself.
Slowly coming out of my ramen shell 😃
Frank, you just gave me an idea for my next visit to Japan with my family. Salamat!
Amazing! I hope you all make it to Saga...def less touristy too, which is nice.
My daughter and I spent an incredible day at Yoshinogari in 2019 - sugoi! Wish we'd known about the ramen so missed out on it.
Amazing! Glad that you made it out to Saga...Japanese don't even get for down there that much. There's always next visit for the ramen!
Great video. The historical site is actually on my to do list for my next visit to Japan so it was fun getting to see it in your video. I love the tone of your videos. Keep up the great work!
Cool! Saga is definitely an underrated area. I'm sure you'll have a great time there. Thanks for watching!

ahhh glad to see your still making vids
More to come! I'm come out of hibernation 😉
The second one appealed to me the most, but the beef bento won the prize.
Great choice - I think I dug the second one the most and that bento was icing on the Saga cake.
Is that just the egg yolk or the whole egg? Wondering what they would do with all the egg whites if it's just yolk in the ramen!
Great question! It's the whole egg going in there 👍
3:08 buwoob 😭😭

Actually much much earlier - the Yayoi era! Def a fun place to visit.
@@5AMRamen whoa Yayoi era, that's so early LIKE 1000BC-800BC and the site is still looking good, definitely a good place to go
