Yes, I did. You think I would get heat damage with a few seconds on low heat? I thought I would be ok. Maybe I'll invest in one or just not use loe heat at all. I don't do anything to prevent frizz. I mainly blow out my hair to transition to another natural hair style. Since I don't straighten my hair I'm not worried about frizz.
ParisIn85 I’m not sure... I’m just trying to learn more about natural hair. I read an article that stated always use a heat serum when blow drying. My hair was really damaged from a hairstylist that used too much heat. Now I’m a stay at home stylist! Anyways, take care!
There are a few things you can do to get a sleeker look. 1. Hold the ends taut, put the brush at the root and slide the brush down, so your hair slides against the back of the brush. 2. Go much slower like you are flat ironing. 3. Put the short side of the brush against your scalp versus the long side. The air comes out on the short side. You should be able to dry an entire section with 4 to 6 swipes on low. I'm not sure how many on cool. Remember to apply tension through the entire process it will help eliminate the fluff. You also may still want to use a leave-in or something to smooth the cuticle instead of just water.
namastefw thanks so much! That’s funny because I actually did actually what you said earlier today before I read this comment! I used a leave-in and my hair is much softer. I know it’ll get better as I use it more often.
I personally don't like to blow dry wet hair. I like to leave it dry in twist at about 80% then i blow dry on cool with a heat protectant. I love to do that because it's less heat and my hair turns out soft and moisturized. When blow dried on high heat it makes my hair too dry, crunchy, stiff and i hate that.
I noticed a lot of people don't want to use heat because of heat damage. Chile I understand because I had heat damage too. Which I didn't do. But a blow dryer will not damage your hair. My hair is so thick I need heat
I think imma buy this too... I was hoping to find a UA-cam video with someone with MY hair texture, THAT'S how I know if a product works if I see someone with 4a/ 4b hair use it.. glad I found your video I'm sold gonna purchase me one of these bad boys 😀
The air from the dryer comes from the top bristles of the dryer and not the sides or the bottom, so if you run dryer through your hair from the top to bottom of the dryer, and not across the dryer you will not have to have so many passes.
I have that dryer you're referring to that India use. It's collecting dust because it was ripping out my hair so it was a no go for me. I ow have this one that you review and is so much better. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Aren't you supposed to use this on wet hair? I have a similar Conair Hot air brush and use it on my 4a freshly washed, towel dried hair (spritzed with heat protectant) and it came out very straight very fast.
Did you use a heat protectant spray?
No, I didn't since I'm using the cool setting.
ParisIn85 Okay, I thought you started with low heat, then cool, then a few seconds of high heat. How do you prevent frizz on the cool setting?

I was looking at these today. Now I know I'll be purchasing. Btw grapeseed oil is a heat protectant.

I hope you enjoy the product.
Heat on dry hair without protectant can give you heat damage quickly because the heat affects your hair directly
Thanks so much for the tip! :)
I love it and keeping my hair stretched is definitely causing less breakage. 👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you!
