  • ABS2 Evo, the latest antispin rubber from Dr Neubauer, has indeed taken the blocking-close to the table game to a higher level. The spin reversal is indeed on the top tier of the antispin category. However, that is not the most noticeable change. The biggest difference between the normal ABS2 and the Evo version is that the Evo version makes the blocks a lot shorter. It is like mixing up Diabolic Extra Slow with ABS2. The other area is about the same with the original version besides you get a bit harder contact feeling. Yet short blocks with devastating spin reversal is definitely the most threatening weapon for the antispin players nowadays.

    Hello bro, ABS 2 Evo with Matador (Off-). 2,3mm or 2,5mm ? Which is better? What do you think? Forehand Dignics 0,9C 2,1mm.

      eggplanthater thicker sponge has better control in blocking. And it still produces good spin reversal.

    Hi Micheal can you use the abs 2 /abs 2 Evo to chop outside the table? If not is there an antispin rubber that can be used both for chop blocks and chops outside the table? Maybe the butterfly superanti ?

      I haven't tried the abs yet but my playing style is exactly that. Chop away with anti that is,. I'll share 2 videos for you. In the next video, I'm playing with 1.9mm super-stop (red/bh ) ( which is a classic anti with very very little grip ) and victas 1.5mm Victas 401 ( black/fh ) on a chen weixing blade. Chek it out: ua-cam.com/video/PtmcOueKwWw/v-deo.html . In the next video, you will find a different example: There I played with scandal 0.9mm (a frictionless anti ) on a deluxe carbon blade on this video, and here it is: ua-cam.com/video/p4DipK774Xw/v-deo.html Scandal at least 3 times slower than the super-stop ( sauer & trauger ) due to the special sponge der-materialspezialist uses. I 've shared these links for you as you do not find many players who use anti like us ( that is in playing in a chop-away from table style ) So, you get to decide whether chopping-away with antis work or not. Most people would say that antis are not the best choice for this kind of gameplay ( as the pros use LPs with thick sponges for that but unfortunately, I'm unable to control the ball with those legendary rubbers such as TSP curl 1.5mm even on high conrol barricade def blade ) It's a completely different world.

    • @LittleMT1982

    I have been using ABS 2 (2.1mm) with the Dr. Neubauer Grand Master blade, and I have been doing great. I am still trying to keep all my blocks low in the games. If I mess up the timing with the anti spin sometimes the ball pops up too high. My play style is very similar to yours, but I pivot a little bit more to play more aggressive and sometimes I twiddle my paddle and use the normal rubber on BH. The idea of making the ball land even shorter with this new rubber sounds great so I will definitely try this one soon. Since my blade is already very slow, do you think I should keep it 2.1mm or should 2.3mm work for me better?

    • @LittleMT1982
      @LittleMT1982  3 роки тому +2

      If you play with advanced players a lot more, I would say 2.3mm or 2.5mm is a better choice. Thanks for the comment !

      Adam Patelczyk no I don’t clean it. Just sweep out the dust after I play and try to keep my home dry. Because I heard high humidity is not good for antispin rubbers. I play ABS2 evo for about a month, and it is still in pretty good condition though.
