Good effort mate you did all you could.you haven't set yourself an easy target for this part of the country but I have faith in ya!!! Keep the vids coming mate 👍
I missed a huge bite on half a mackerel last Tuesday night near there was the only bite i had keep them coming dude your inspiring me to get out in the cold 😂 and nice to know its not just me that blanks 😂
Intrigued by you comment about the old concrete groynes being part of the snags mate, did they not remove them when the rock groynes went in? Been fishing that stretch for 40 years and it's always been snaggy even when the old groynes were there. I always put it down to cliff debris from erosion years ago before the prom and the defences were built. Further north at the Dip area there's the remains of Walton Fort (Roman / Saxon) that went over the cliff in the mid 1700s and are now about 150 yards off the beach, and can be seen on a very low spring tide. I'm intending to give the Fludyers a go this week 🙂
I've always been led to believe it's the remnants of old victorian sea wall/defences mate. I know some of it is also granite that's worked its way away from the newer defences in recent years. On a big low as you probably know you can see a lot of the bays in all their glory and some of them are unbelievably full of snags. Years ago we used to get some good cod from the area close to the fort but I've not fished that part for a long time. Fludyers is going to be one of my ports of call in the hunt mate, always liked the pipe swim in the past. Cheers mate 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Suffolk and Essex Codling seem to be a thing of the past, Matt. Seems as though you have to go North now, like Hull upwards. Great quality Video though mate.
Such a shame the cod aren't about here anymore 🙈 l give up years ago, gunfleat sailing club, Clacton was brilliant, anyway not using 8lb line today I see lol 👍
