    Great video
    The JS necks are great and this is why the JS series plays as well as they do. The poplar wood is decent and really comes alive with high output pickups the X2N for example is real nice.

      Yeah its a good guitar. I changed the pups to a cheap dragonfire screamers and the sound is really good for shredding and metal. There is minor string buzz and I actually had to change the guitar and the new one still had the same flawed paint coatings (minor too) In the end depending on what im playing I may choose it over my RR5rf despite the prices (300e - 1300e)

    • @user-vb2of3qi2v
      @user-vb2of3qi2v 7 років тому

      I have a pair of dragonfire screamers in a washburn of mine. I really like them alot, especially for the price. They are underrated pickups. Good luck with the stringbuzz. Mine had fret buzz when I first bought it, switched out the strings to a high gauge and adjusted the neck... now it sounds and plays perfect. Thanks for responding to my quesiton, have a good one man.

    Just got this exact same guitar and it's awesome! Just wanted to mention an alternative solution to the neck dive issue that you were talking about. What I did was I took my Levy suede strap off my Les Paul and put it on the Jackson. The material will grip your shirt and it stays balanced. Hope that helps people who are considering this great guitar!

      I just got the flat black one delivered yesterday, and the strap lock is still on the top side. The Jackson site also showed it on the back...but it is not. I don't find it to dive too bad though. My problem with it is the 25.5 scale (I prefer 24.7) but otherwise it is very nice.

      @@bc454irocz89 Yeah, mine was a gift. I would have never bought a 25.5" myself. If yours is like mine though, you should love it! The nut cut, fret work and all that were very good on mine. No finish flaws or neck pocket cracks, lose switches/knobs or any of the usual things to grief you on a new guitar. Pickups seem above average for a cheaper guitar. Tuners are 'meh' (as usual) very tight/stiff (may break in with time, a drop of oil, and a good spinning), but functional.

      @@Dude_Guyman i just bought the js32tq black dinky and i can agree with you. It's very well constructed, albeit out of cheap lightweight wood. I decided I want the kelly so I'm going to play them both then return one. The pickups are actually not bad. The neck pocket and setup was spot on perfect. Im impressed by the workmanship but the cheap woods are reflected in the price. My 2002 warlock was $200 back then and has a horrible neck pocket but also has way better wood. So the construction has improved but not the materials.. Lightweight bodies and fake rosewood, the maple on the neck is very cheap tho. But I'm impressed for the cost very happy

    Thanks for the review, great video! I'm really a beginner in playing the guitar and I've been practicing a little with my brother's old Stagg, and I was thinking about buying my own new guitar. Is this guitar good for beginners? Is it easy to play (like how high are the strings from the neck and stuff like that)? If someone could answer would be greatly appreciated! Also I kindly take any recommendations for other good beginner guitars, preferably in the price range of 200-350 euros. And yeah, I mostly want to play metal music, power and progressive metal so nothing too heavy.

    Dry ass fretboard you got there. Not many ppl know this, but with Jackson Guitars, the very best thing you can do for your fretboard is put petroleum jelly on it and let it sit for 10mins, then wipe it off. Your fretboard will NOT be greasy. It will feel like gold when you are done. Ive been doing it on my Dinky and my 99 Rhoads V for decades.

He is only wanting to learn so he can pick up women😂so he wants me to teach him how to solo. I play bass way more and honestly find guitar pretty easy to play because I can produce so many notes by tapping. It is quite easy as tapping on a guitar takes the same force as simply pressing the string down on a bass so when I tap it's loud and pretty clean sounding but I cannot shred haha.
