Worked at Varian 47 years. Built the microwave tubes for the clinics. Retired. The guy that invented it saved his own life having cancer himself.

As a former X-ray assistant, I can say for sure that this machine is a miracle compared to the previous radiation therapy machines. In 2014, the same was put into operation in the national oncology institute in Budapest, it cost HUF 800 million!

That is perhaps the best summary description one of these things I've seen. And yes, it is MUCH better to have everybody under one roof and not have the patient bounced all over town for this and that.
