I wish all fighting games had a guide like this. You're doing great teaching the hardest parts of any fgc: the theory and strategy that form the gameplan. Thanks!
some of these concepts actually apply in other fighting games too! this was very eye opening despite me having played fighting games for a while and discovering some of these concepts subconsciously
Fantastic tutorial, though, I wish that the property of shield would have been explored a little bit more, but other than that, very good for new players
I almost did that! But then I checked Curbeh's videos again and saw that he already covered all the details of Shielding that I didn't present in this video, so I thought it was redundant.
Hopefully once this games drops people will release guides/ tutorials on the characters, and not just drop combo videos, since combos are arguably the least important part of a fighting game, with other areas like options your character can do in neutral, and mix ups being WAY more important. In regards to what I'm hoping for in these character specific guides is at the bare minimum an overview on all the characters normals, specials, and supers and to what there intended purpose is. Extra points if they explain the mix up situations like in MB with Akiha's pinwheel set up. And I Will definitely be on the look out for a Red Arcrueid guide day one, since she is currently the character I'm the most interested in, though that could change once powered Ciel (best girl) and Aoko is released. Here are some examples of detailed guides that ACTUALLY have useful information, and isn't just a combo video with me using arguably the most complex and unique 2D fighter on the market currently that you can find on this platform: 【BBCF2】 Izanami Blockstrings & Pressure Breakdown @ 【BBCF2】 Izanami Ribcage & Okizeme Guide @ Blazblue Central Fiction Beginner Azrael Guide @
This makes full moon look kinda garbage. If I understand it correctly, you're sacrificing access to half of all the system mechanics and mixup tools just for slightly better frame data, which then barely matters because non-full moon characters have reverse beat to do the same things.
A Melty Blood guide? In 2019?
That's great!
2020 and this guide is still helping newbies (me). Really appreciate how well this guide shows the concepts it talks about.
A beginner guide that not only teaches you the fundamentals but how to learn them. What a godsend.
