    Connie
All your recipes are really GOOD! What makes e everything better than all the videos out there for vegan is the way you SIMPLIFY each recipe and and add each I individual ingredient out to the side clearly so when my printer or whatever isn't working l can just write it down! There are so many young dingbats making videos rattling out everything so fast one misses the point! The point is the love you have in creating the absolute GEMS for us to try. I really love what you do and thank-you Connie so much!

Hi Connie, ok I made your recipe with no oil. I used parchment paper cooked them for 10 minutes on 350. Then turned them over for another 10 minutes. Next I finished your recipe putting them in the liquid. It taste like sausage and has a meaty texture. Tomorrow when my wife’s brother visits us, I’ll see how he likes them. He’s a meat and potato kind of guy. Thanks for the great recipe.

One of the things I love about good youtube cooks like you is that you don't just simply show the demo, you give important related details and actually teach people how to cook! I like how you discuss the history of the food and the possibilities with the ingredients and food, make recommendations, etc. You give a lot of insight! Thank you!

This is unreal! I can't tell you how amazing this is. Everyone, even if you don't have ALL the ingredients in your cupboard make them right now anyway. I didn't have flax, smoke, red peppercorns to name a few but these are simply stunning. Make them. Make hundreds of them!

This is the best recipe ever! I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself. I used dehydrated portabella mushrooms and veggie chicken cubes for the broth. It made the best "gravy" as it thickened around the sausages! I have tried so many recipes and found nothing worked out without wheat gluten which I do not want to eat. I mean like dumped in the trash FAIL! Adjusting spices, this is the perfect texture for veggie burgers and cocktail meatballs, meatloaf burgers with chopped sauteed veggies inside, etc.. I plan to try them on the grill too!! But for now...drizzled with a little maple OMG! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Just made these patties for breakfast and OM Goodness they are so much like meat patties it is insane. I did cut back on the some of the hotter spices cos I’m not a fan, but they were still amazing. I made the schnitzel on Friday and had some of that stock left over and used this to cook them in, oh boy so much flavor! Connie you are a genius.

This was so good! I was winging it for a few things, but it was perfec, cooked in an air fryer for ten minutes, dunked it in leftover juice from some lentils and greens, and used Worcestershire sauce and amino acids for color and flavor.

The best broth to have on hand is to have a stock pot on your stove where you can add cleaned good parts of vetables you don't use in your recipes and cook them down straining the broth to use. Very nutritious and good flavor.

    Hi Connie,
Thank you so much for this recipe! You have inspired me to make my own version of this recipe. I want to make your version and cook the oats in the broth as you did but I need to find out how to make mushroom powder from scratch as I can't seem to find it here in Spain. I made a version of your sausages but forgot to actually cook the oats in the broth and I think it would have turned out much better that way. But they didn't turn out bad, I used onion and I cord and apple and put that into the spice mix as well. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your awesome videos and your easygoing style and personality.

Two things I noticed for any who didn't watch the full video, your teaspoon of fennel seeds is actually 1/2 Tablespoon, and it looks like the teaspoon of ground coriander at 10:04 is missing from the written ingredients list :)

    • @conniesrawsomekitchen
      @conniesrawsomekitchen  4 роки тому +1

yes sorry about that I did post this in the comments ****************As for the fennel. I wrote 1 teasp. said 1 teasp. but I did put 1/2 tbsp. Please add the 1/2 unless u want less of it thank you and sorry for that error!! and thank you guys for pointing that out to me!!! also note that I left out the coriander in the list of ingredients that you see on the left size of the screen. But I did add 1 teasp. of coriander to the dish. Thank you guys sorry for the mishap!

Not nitpicking, just addressing an apparent oversight: you put ground coriander in the food processor mixture but, did not list it in the ingredients on screen.

I make a good meatloaf style burger with this recipe using 1 T poultry seasoning or sage and 1 T of Italian seasoning use tomato sauce any thing tomato works spaghetti sauce or paste with water 1 t salt, onion powder and garlic powder and 2 cups of oats. I mix and add water or sauce to make a thick dough and fry then simmer about 5 minutes. Be creative. Make it your way.

Some people like to look at their bill and think buying so many ingredients is expensive.
But actually when you break down the costs by ounce it tends to be a lot cheaper than it seems.
Most of these ingredients you get in bulk.
It's really amazing and best of all healthy. Plus, you know what you're putting in. No extra weird stuff. Lol.

Wondering why you don't let the food processor do the mixing work for you... When I make UnMeatballs now, I make them all the way in the food processor, I only use the high speed at first when I want to chop things up some, then afterwards I let it go real slow. It mixes everything, incl. the wheat gluten, in nicely, but texture stays the same. Saves your joints a lot (which is very important to me, because of severe joint problems). I was thinking of maybe trying to make some sausage patties or burgers now, so I had to go check your take on them - Thanks a lot! 😊 But I may add some gluten to them, really like, uh, love, my gluten and the meaty texture it adds! 😂 PS! i have made some adjustments to my original UnMeatball recipe, I can send it to you, if you want me to... 😊

Per your fabulous recipe for vegan brisket, could you or would you use instant coffee and cacao for dark color in this sausage or would that taste bad? Also have you made this without the Italian herbs you put in last or are they a must have? What are those Italian herbs you are using here? Thank you....p.s. I love you even change things up while putting things together!!!! ...lezlie h-b

Yes it does add more flavor but there are so many in the dish that u won't notice it. But I will make a note!! Thank you for catching that

Connie, fantastic recipe. I am thrilled as well as Dr. Tracy. Hey you forgot to write in the coriander on your recipe. Maybe you can add it? Not sure if that's possible. Also I think next time I"ll leave off the Italian herbs at the end because it was overly spicy for my family. I don't think the recipe needs it.

Yes I did pin it to the top that I left that out there r two things I forgot. One is the amount of fennel. So thank you and yes feel free to change it up enjoy :)

Great recipe find! I’m always looking for variations on vegan gluten free sausage recipes…😊
Can’t wait to try it! I have all the ingredients too, so that’s going to be easy peasy! 😁👍🏽
I know what you mean about the garlic press, I’ve purchased so many expensive ones and none are amazing, the spikes are never sharp enough to push the entire thing through… so annoying. LOL

Connie, I am confused. Is not the vital wheat gluten flour...gluten? So how can the recipe be gluten free? Thankfully I do not have that allergy, but it got me thinking as to what the difference is. I love your recipes, please keep them coming!

A long long time ago I saw your channel and what you were making for food and it looked really good. It said rawsome kitchen and I thought it meant that you were a raw vegan so I stayed away. One day this week I clicked on something that looked very good and I realized that you do cook! A wonderful realization for me and my tummy. :-) very happy holidays to you and your family. 🎄🎅🎄

I just made my 1st batch of sausages, they dissolved in broth,, completely. I'm thinking of condensing them making a meatloaf. They smell amazing!!
Any pointers on making them hold together

did u fry them first?? did u simmer them 2nd??

    • @marygoodwin5997

I did,, I think I may have used too much oil?

    • @marygoodwin5997
      @marygoodwin5997 6 років тому

So, I was able to save the sausage,, I just add 1/2 cup of instant oats, 2 more Tb of egg substitute to all of it,, including broth, came out with 10 beautiful pattys

Connie's RAWsome kitchen, I think they were probably too "crumbly" still, when I put them in to fry, also I think that I possibly used too much oil to fry them,,
I wished I could post a photo of them

I threw my garlic press out years ago, hated cleaning it. INstead I got a microplane grater. The real great thing about that, is you don't have to peel the close, you just start grating, the goodness will be on the far side of the grater, the peel on your side! And it is so easy to clean! My no1 kitchen gadget (I have two now, one fine and one more coarse for parmesan etc - may get more, they are laser cut and super sharp/effective)! You can find them on eBay...
