Flowers are subjects I rarely do, I usually stop at smelling them, but I must say, when I see Trevor paint anything, I really feel like joining in. I can almost hear Trevor's brain ticking over and I am behind prompting 'Now'! as the colour hits the paper, (if only). Trevor does what I would call conducting his musicality with the brush, the time and speed of stroke flowing like an arrangement of a well known melody. He is no mean guitarist, so perhaps that helps with the mindset in his paintings, whatever is, the results end with a grand finale of the finished painting. Thank you Trevor for sharing with us.
Thank You Daniel ....Amazing review...you've hit the nail on the head again...Painting is a metaphor...it's like visual music to me ...Jazz, in fact... with themes and colours and mood....and improvisation ! Ive Shared your comment to community here...press my community button to have a look ! Regards T
Thank you for posting. I’ve been patiently awaiting as I know it is not every day one has an inspiration and one cannot force inspiration. It has to just spring from within! Thank you for sharing your talents once again! I just love that music! Darn! Thank you!
Thank you. A chance to see the difference between what is seen in nature and the artist's 'inner eye' interpretation -the most difficult thing in painting.
I have a rose and a bud growing here in the garden and I will concentrate on that....I think it is important to paint and draw from actual live subjects too!
A nice change from videos done in the studio. Lovely brush work but you're known for that! Was Darlas your videographer? Also wondering if this piece is for sale.
Hi Mike thanks for your comments...yes Darlas did the videography ! The painting is appearing in my new book for Kew Gardens published in 2020...so is at the publishers at the moment and will be returned to me after they're finished with it, then it will be for sale at £350 if you're interested. Hope you and the lovely Barb are doing well. Regards Trevor
@@TrevorWaugh OK, let me show the photo of it or the video to Barb. I'm kinda busy right now with 3 more chemo treatments so may be a bit before I revert. Cheers
@@TrevorWaugh Thank you for that info! Just found the SAA website and will explore for the brush. I've learned about painting figures from a couple of your videos, was a real help. I appreciate your courtesy and enjoy your channel. Peace from Texas, USA ~

Could you please tell us about the second red-tipped brush you use in this video? What brand and size? Thank you. Lovely painting and music!
It's a No. 8 SAA worker brush, Synthetic mix. SAA are a UK art supplier very reasonably priced. If you need the link please let me know here. Thanks T
