In my humble opinion one of the best if not the best Bilin song. I love the song even though I don't know a word of the language. Greetings from your Saho brother. May Allah bless Eritrea and its wonderful Mosaic culture.
Your right its one of the most beautiful., speaking of saho i just found a great one also called sembel. These songs are so powerful capture your soul so easy.
Not to long ago a Eritrean journalist on Facebook wrote article about Blen people. He had made a investigation about their origin and their culture and he came to a conclusion that they came from the house of king David. Remember earliest Blen people migrated to Eritrea because of the fall of the Zagwe dynasty. The Zagwe were not Native Ethiopians. But the the sons of Hebrew Israelites that migrated to Ethiopia and strayed there.
@@settiyosief5739 Who the hell are you talking about like that. Who are you to insult tigrinya people like that. If you were bilen you'd know how many bilen come from tigrinya themselves. Why are we responsible for anything? Last time I checked it was tigrinya dying in the sea and enslaved in sawa so tell me again what is your problem? You also weren't insulting Tigrinya when we died on the battlefield when all of you were non-existent. Idiot this internet gave you cowards too much confidence to talk online. If you don't like tigrinya you are more than welcome to take our country out of your name
@@settiyosief5739 Are you not embarrassed. Number one, not only are tigre and tigrinya people originally brothers coming from the same group, so who do we come from? Anything you say applies to tigre so make sure to call them guests but you wont because you are a coward with an agenda. There are also many tigre and beja groups originate from tigrinya. Our history in eritrea predates all of yours. Many of you are just from sudan also. We are the guest? Please back up your claim. The history of eritrea is literally located in our land from the oldest geez writings, tigrinya writings, hidmos in adulis to the powerful empires up to ona civilsation (the oldest in east africa) in sembel typical of tigrinya villages. Have some shame before calling us guests - especially as a bilen whose language comes from the (now) amhara highlands. Bet tawqe themselves come from tigrinya. And we don't come from saho or bilen either. Bilen is exclusively reserve for those who kept the language in senhit. some Tigrinya as well as some tigre have AGAW (not BILEN) admixture because you all ran to our land
truly, they are. I speak Somali and this song is some how familiar to me. I mean the lyrics. I can't fully understand what they are saying but I can understand the relations between the two languages.
excuse me !! the song is titled by yonas and he is the one who is responsible for our criticism, fatna is just a figure and follower in this song if you really hear bilen. And as you said he has the right to sing whatever he likes as long as not out of tyrant's objectives but NOT by the expense of the poor and opressed eritrean youths who are trying to avoid dictatorship.

Masha'Allah ! Beautiful , I make a research on the North-Eastern Africans , their links and History The East Africans are all cousins , and this is clear when you hear their voice and see their folk dances . What means "Bilen " because "Bilen "is a famous Somali name for the girls which means the "well-born, or beautiful ,bright ,shinning ,awaking sun,or moon ,and " for the man they call him "Bile" thanks , I can make the comparison of these two east african cultures, Bilen and Somali
there are two bilen from different origin bilen tarqi and bilen tawqi ...bilen tarqi are from adi Taklizan Hamsen and bilen twaqi are bogos..but they settle together and got the same language and tradition of ad mussa
What are you talking about? Bilen, saho afar somali. oromo and many other tribes in the Horn of Africa have same origin. I am Somali and can tell difference between eritrean tribes. Like Habesh eritreans have owl shaped eyes harder skin basically rougher looks. Where as afar and Saho have softer look and more smooth skin just like us Somali.
"Selef selam yahki mesgenatna gash awi fano kosena" What does that mean? Can some pls translate that and the song in general? I don't understand it but i'm loooooviiing it! "Laley lalena, laleena laley wa lalena, kshesh, kshesh, kshesh, Wa Shalot!"
