Just discovered your channel and I'm not disappointed. I started home brewing back in college and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately during some of my stations in the military I wasn't able to brew for a very long time but I recently got back into it back in 2020 during covid and recently I discovered your channel. And it's really helped me kind of develop. Now I wanna try some things and I know there are people out there who enjoye it as well. I live in Washington and while there are some cool little microbreweries. No one really does the home brew thing in there 30's. Keep it up and I'll watch it all. Also i'm gonna transition away from glass carboys and go to plastic.
Thanks for the starter kit shout-out, CH, and for opening the some really awesome topcial cans of worms over the past couple of months (like the "Why Brew Tube Will Never Conquer the World").
Funnily enough I was a subscriber of his and wanted to get into homebrewing, but this video flipped my perception of his whole channel and how much effort I would need to put into homebrewing. I felt annoyed that he misrepresented what homebrewing should be, unsubscribed from him and then started following better channels like your’s, Clawhammer Supply and Bru Show. While I am still extract brewing, I love what the UA-cam community of real home brewers do and it makes me want to improve my beginner craft and get into all grain beers. Thanks for confirming my thoughts, stay awesome!
CH, braj, I just gotta say, I’m one of those UA-cam viewers that tends to be turned off by slick production, good editing, and especially huge audiences. Your videos are edited and produced in a way that shows your authenticity and connection with real people. Your videos, my love of good beer, and a Braj I knew for years inspired me to buy the gear and try it for myself. You’re doing the Lord’s work, Braj, keep it up!
I had always wanted to try brewing and it was actually Josh's video that got me deciding to put more effort into it and from there I started looking up brewing videos on UA-cam as I had a beer kit that had been collecting dust for awhile (glass carboy and all). At the start of this year after educating myself a little I finally decided to brew that all grain kit up and 7 months later I have now done 15 different batches. Admittedly I have to give some credit to Josh for me getting into this hobby as it was that video that made me want to explore more.
Yeah...I'd never brew that beer, but Josh's channel is legit and he does some awesome stuff. His baking skills are next level. I credit the legend Don Osborn with teaching me to brew 7 years ago...him and the OG Brewing TV videos with Michael Dawson and Jake Keeler. Those are great videos to learn from and entertaining as well.
I watched that video but then I also continued to seek other content. H4L and clawhammer have become my go to channels to learn all things home brewing. Any channel that features Ashley Joanna Williams will always be a fav. Thanks and keep it up.
Been brewing for 8 months now, the first video on YT I watch was JW's. And No I've never made a Belgian :D Glad I found your channel after years of poking around on YT. Maybe it was just because you tagged JW in the video title, who knows. Regardless you have a new sub. Cheers.
I am a little late replying however, everything you said was spot on and you always make me laugh, which is what we all need! Thanks for all you do for us Home brewers!!
My impression of JW's video was that it seemed like he brewed that beer only once - for a video. But he's recommending it as if its a beer he brews and drinks regularly (even though he doesn't like beer that much). I picked up homebrewing in the past few months, and my search of "how to homebrew beer" first led me to the Homebrew Challenge. I never saw JW's video until now. From Martin's channel, I ended up finding the BruSho and H4L. I've learned a lot in a short amount of time from you guys. Really appreciate the hard work!
When I started brewing, I watched a multitude of videos including Josh's but after watching H4L, I knew pretty quickly who the Brajlord was and I haven't looked back. Thanks for all you do for the homebrewing community braj! Keep on Keeping on....
Ngl Josh is a pretty dope dude. Definitely a staple in the home cook community and he got me into cooking, just like hb4l got me into homebrewing. I agree that youtube pushes what is popular and entertaining.
Buddy pulled out the opening line in choke- “ if your gonna read this, don’t bother” although that line made me read the book because, challenge accepted. Saying I don’t even like beer was an immediate put off. Needless to say, on to better content.
I agree nearly 100%. I'd not recommend Lallemand Voss Kveik for a first brew, because I know a few people (including me) who don't like the taste it creates. Not talking about kveik in general (lutra is fine) and I know it is summer, but the Voss Kveik can just be off putting and a new brewer might think it's his/her fault. If in any way possible (cellar, any single colder room), I'd recommend S-05. It's just the workhorse and can handle nearly everything (in my opinion), without adding too much flavor. But that's just me. I use the Voss Kveik if I absolutely have to get a bee ready in under a week. Other than that single point, you are doing gods work braj!
I started homebrewing 2017 Long Beach Ca...now in south eastern Oklahoma. I have a new IPA recipe cold crashing with an old monster energy drink cooler and a home made chiller you would love.
I’ve never heard of or seen this beer hater Josh fella before. I started with Homebrew 4 Life and just can’t thank you enough for all your incredible and honest brew knowledge! You’ve made a massive contribution to my journey into home brew. Thank you!
I love how much you rip on the glass carbois. Ironically I started out with a glass carboi kit from Northern Brewer. I learned real quick how much of a pain in the ass they are. I now have a fermzilla conical and a Spike Brewing conical with cooling coils. I invested more into the fermenting tools vs boil tools....still on a multiple vessel system with ZERO pumps. Idk if I should add more to my multiple vessel system or just save up for an all in 1 electric system.
I started homebrewing because of Jesse at stillit. I wanted to make my own whiskey but ended up making beer, because I half had all the stuff to do BIAB. A keg, cheap used fridge, picnic hose and a c02 tank later I was doing kits. Your channel and elementary brewings one were what got me into all grain. You guys are doing Jesus's work ch. Always be chill.
When I started homebrewing last year, I worked as a server for brewing and learned some very basic terms serving beer. Unfortunately for me I fell right into the trap of watching Josh's video of how to brew beer. And yes, I did use this recipe and used the glass fermenter. After successfully pulling off the stunt, I showed it to the owners of the brewery I worked at and told them the process I took to brew the beer. They gave me pointers on how to better my craft and better my efficiency with different yeast strands and mash complexity. They kind of drove me away from the very simple malt extract brews. Luckily I found yall's channel: HOMEBREW 4 LIFE, and I turned what was a crazy idea with a group of friends into a passion. I used to watch and re-watch CH's videos on a daily basis and recently pulled off my first kettle sour even. I've followed CH's recopies and followed his semi-logical wisdom mixed along with the help of the owners of the brewery I worked at to turn this craft into a passion. I am now enrolled in business school and I am also taking classes to improve my homebrewing skills to potentially open a brewery one day. Btw, my first beer I brewed off CH's channel was the cinnamon toast crunch stout and the stopper I used on my bucket had a crack and the vodka I put into the stopper leaked both into the beer and out of the stopper onto the floor. That was when I learned that beer can turn into basically a soy sauce beer. Now, I check every stopper I own for leaks or I pressure ferment in kegs with a pressure valve.
Beyond well said!!! (Thanks for the snip it) Your video and Kyle's video are dead on. Great work with the insane amount of editing your video had...I'd lost my mind.
I didn't get into brewing because of you, but I'm definitely still here because of you. Much love braj- And what a professional, courteous call-out. I said the same on Clawhammer's video, good on both of you.
Bro I’m kinda mad. Not about Josh (I enjoyed this and claw hammers video as well 😂) but about this channel. I started brewing in about 2017. And no Josh didn’t influence me even though I did watch his video. I Started making one gallon batches like a total tool bag and made my way to 5 gallons after learning how stupid I was. But I never saw any of your videos until recently. And I watched a lot of home brew videos. I put down brewing for a year and half after moving out of state. I picked it up again and decided to keg and found your video on kegs. And dude I subscribed immediately. I think this is my favorite brew channel. I love you content. It hilarious and I Learn stuff. I’m just mad I’m now discovering it. But I’m here now. Cheers and keep em coming. Thanks boss.
I got started watching your channel (and a few Australian home brew channels), and I'm glad I did. First batch was an all grain Citra SMASH IPA and it tasted great. Thanks for all the great content braj!
Great video! Had to watch it twice. To your point, if you scroll thru that video comments, there are plenty of comments like: "great video I need to make beer now!" I wonder how many of these people followed thru and were one batch and done.
I definitely started brewing from watching genus brewing, Larry, bitter reality, Dr. Hanz, and you guys. The popular videos are cool and all, they aren't gunna people in the comment section having crazy Q&As about recipes and systems. It's not only about the content it's also the convos that happen because of jt!
Ironically a cooking UA-cam channel video on beer brewing convinced me to give home brewing another shot. I tried a Cooper's homebrew kit years ago and produced complete garbage, so I threw everything away. I then stumbled across a video by Pro Home Cooks where he does a mango all grain beer, and decided to try again. That video was the Ultime C**k tease though cos he didn't give out a solid recipe that I could follow. But anyway 4 years after watching a home cook make beer, I have an electric BIAB system and a 4 keg keezer I built myself.
Hey CH! You got me back into homebrewing. One of my favourite things about your channel is that you are always up for challenging the status quo and the "traditional wisdom" of brewing. I've got one for you that I would love to see your take on: Does heating your sparge water actually matter? I've started sparging with cold water, and while it takes a bit longer to get to boil temp after, it simplifies my process considerably and doesn't make a difference to the beer. No need for an entire extra vessel is nice for saving $$$ too.
the amount of heat that the grain cake has will likely overcome the temp of your water, but that being said, you should do the exact same recipe with hot and cold sparge water. See what happens efficiency-wise.
Traditional wisdom is that you sparge with 168 water to stop enzymes from continuing to convert. Perhaps it’s minimal after a 60 min mash, but then again, it could have a difference in character/efficiency. I’ve been doing fly sparging…but know that batch sparging is pretty popular (and doesn’t require a seperate vessel).
@@chrisz8532 Heating to 168F/76C is the traditional method for sparge water. OP seems to be asking about not heating sparge water (so you are missing that step of "traditional" mash out stoping enzyme conversion). Would think beer might turn out slightly thiner without mash out temp.
Josh does know how to make bread, and I get some ideas about food. Haven’t seen this video, but guessing it’s like Alton Brown’s Good Eats episode. I was floored for a guy that is known for science of food got some basic terms wrong. I’m getting back to brewing (so yes, still using my glass carboys: got a new chest freezer for fermenting). Brewfather is worth the hype I’m finding. One thing I do like about brewing is that you seem to make new friends wanting to try your beers (so opposite his claim that only brewers like their beers).
last fall I got into brewing and googled how to carbonate with a keg, and found your channel. I guess I never googled how to brew so I've never seen or heard of this guy. I mostly just followed the instructions as most of ours brews have been grain kits. although I've made a fair few batches of your 3day amarillo, love it. got a kolsch for my sisters birthday tomorrow, and its pretty boring after mostly brewing IPA's for close to a year.
Whats crazy is Josh Weissmans video was the first homebrew Video i watched and first beer i brewed. To be honest the beer wasnt that good but it got me started. I also like belgiums. Great recommendations all around!
I watched Joshua Weissman's video and got into home-brewing last year. Made 6 batches. Never quit. Kept on making and discovered your channel along with Clawhammer, The Bru Sho. Whatever, Joshua Weissman got into the hobby. I hardly watch his other videos though.
Haven't read all the comments so forgive me if this has been slammed already. Just the phrase "I really don't like beer" turned me off immediately. Why TF did he make the video then? Every homebrewer I know (and after 6 years in, and a few competitions, I know a lot of them) started making beer because they love it. And I agree with your statement that (whatever percentage you said) of first time homebrewers quit after their first batch; so many starter kits on craigslist, offerup, FB marketplace. Rant over. Love your videos, they make me laugh, and I gotta say the best advice I've gotten in the last few months is the dry hop with sous vide magnets thing; tried it twice so far and my last Pale is THE best beer I've ever made, using that method (along with a pressure lid for my fermonster). Keep it going braj. Sincerely, a female Braj (brajette?) way out here in Washington State.
I learned how to make sourdough bread like a pro from Josh, and I got back into home brewing (after a one off years ago) mainly from Homebrew4Life. Props to both for what you do. and Belgian styles are my favourite. Cheers
Thank you CH!! I'm glad you made this video because you're right, stating in your video that you don't even like beer is not okay. Especially when exposing all those people to the Homebrew community. I've been following your channel for awhile now and I really enjoy your content. My wife and I own North Tunnel Brewing & Supply in North West Arkansas and would love to connect with you. Cheers Braj!
Fully agree with you on that any conversion is good conversion. Who cares who it's from, MrBeast, Cheese, PewDiePie. If they bring a million people in to brewing that just helps every channel out when those people start to gain interest. People can be as snobby about it as they want to be but whats the point in being a snob in a pool of like 3,000 people. In other words what on earth is that pronunciation of niche my guy
I googled the guy - is the video really out there since 2 years? I’m glad I stumbled over braj Heath and you first!!! I’m 60 batches down in 2 years and won some medals. I recently moved from plastic to metal but it’s the plastic that won the gold. lol.
Get ‘em!!!!! Yeah I follow Josh for some of his food info but that’s about it. He has made plenty of videos that are trash when it comes to actual info or processes but he does have some that are decent as well. Anyone going to him for Brewing advice though gonna be hurtin a bit. We need to promote the hell outta your channel and get more people into the actual love and passion of brewing for those people that actually do like beer.
As a fan of JW but … I’m also a home brewer first way FIRST … CH Im on your side … I like saisons and Belgium but THAT definitely was not not enough to start my journey into HOMEBREWing . And thats def not where i started.. !! I made Ipa and cream ales .. now i make whatever i feel .. I wish Kviek was available when i started !! Looking forward to your next vid .. and next beer!
Great vid Braj, just wanted to stop in and let you know I brewed the pink starburst hazy, and totally stole it for my own, and changed the name. Cheers! Everybody fucking loves it.
I literally found your channel because I watched Josh's video and thank goodness the UA-cam algorithm sent you to me :) I just want to make my own Guinness Clone, Milk Stout, and Black Lager...I'm here for the partay :)
Ive never watched his video. But i do watch some of his cooking videos. I honestly cant remember what video i watched first. But i started with a Northern Brewer Kit. Block Party Amber Ale to be exact. Your channel has been the most informative and hilarious. Reminds me of shooting the shit with the homies. Plus, ive always thought of moving to Knoxville. Cheers braj 🍻
Im a big fan of his channel, I like his cooking videos. As far as him making a beer video I think its great and should be encouraged. For the 1% of people who do follow his recipe most likely also watched some other videos along with his. Also great recommendations at the end of the video.
I enjoy your sense of humor , I think a step beyond homebrewing is who’d you spend time brewing with. I watch your videos because you make it social activity and fun. If you make 5 gallons batches with no one to hang out and drink it and tell you how it is, how can you improve?
I’ve been brewing for 48 years. I noticed, at 15 years of age, that I couldn’t buy beer…but I could buy Blue Ribbon Malt and Fleischmann yeast! The beer was horrible! But, it was better than what Uncle JP and my dad made…so I persevered and got much better. I have lineups for my beer - and I’m first in line! Honestly, if my Uncle and Dads beer didn’t turn me off of the hobby, there’s no way Jonathan Weissman could either. I did think it odd that a cooking guy wanted to pretend to know how to make beer. Who remembers Alton Brown doing a show on Homebrew? I didn’t brew that recipe, either. Lol!
I watched JW's vid when I first was interested in brewing, I never made it but it got me to keep looking for more content, where I found TheApartmentBrewer, and then you guys. Now that I know more and have done some real brews, I know what's wrong with it. But I totally agree on the idea that it's the wrong idea to give newbies that a complex, weird beer is the start
Although I agree with the bad about Joshua’s video (carboy as fermenter, choosing saison, etc) I think overall his video has a positive impact. Like you said there is no way homebrewing channels will get 2.8M views, so even if only 1% of the people that watched his video got into the hobby and stayed brewing, that is still 28000 people, more than the average views in videos of my favorite homebrew channels. So even if it is a homebrew video in a cooking channel done by a non-brewer, I consider it a win for the homebrew community.
Jajajaja, it's sad but is true when I started watching for UA-cam Videos about "homebrew" that Josh video was one of the first videos I ever had, but then I just didn't stop there, I whatch a lot, I mean a Lot! like 80% of homebrew videos available. But you know what, your channel is one of the Top3 better channels about the topic. Because Homebrew is about having fun, drunk fun.
You really are the fxxking spokesperson for us homebrewers who watched that cheese video. Keep doing what you love doing man! And I hope that Mr Beast will listen to you and start having brew shows one day!
Well if it means anything, your channel is still by far my favorite home brew channel. And that's not taking away from Trent, or BBQ Larry, or Claw Hammer, etc. You are all great in my opinion, I just gravitate to your style of content. Maybe it's the classic 8 and 16 graphics in the background or something? LOL I might have dumped home brewing if it weren't for your site. You do a lot to help keep costs down and make it look like this is something anyone can do and should do. Keep on keeping on!
OK first you called me out. I started because of cheese… but I survived the first batch, made it to the second batch, and working on my third. started with glass moving to fermenting in a keg seems to be the best evolution. For many years I roasted coffee and one of the biggest things I learned is store-bought Coffee sucks fresh roasted coffee is amazing. Same thing can probably apply here some store-bought beers suck. Even a bad batch of fresh beer is better. still have a lot to learn!
I really like joshua weissman cooking videos when I seen the beer brewing video from him I got excited started watching but when he pulled out the extract I lost faith that he knew what he was talking about
Great points and awesome video as usual. Personally I do sub to JW, but I learned more about how to brew and to start with Buckets from you. I think you have a lot of great advice for people starting out, and I enjoy your intros and the work you put into editing. I know editing always takes me forever with my videos and sometimes just demotivates me from wanting to work on another. Brew on.
The shade for saison! I dunno man, my first solo homebrew was a 1g saison from an extract kit with some specialty grains, and it was great. It wasn’t some whacky fruit infused, bubble gum mess. It was dry and punchy, more like an IPA than a bock. But then again, I already knew what to expect because craft beer led me to home brewing. All I’m saying is, you’re right about Cheese, but maybe you haven’t had a good saison…?
Hate the game, not the player. (I know theres no hate here, just a fitting expression) I subscribe to both these channels) I love cooking and home brewing. Some good points made here, I think Josh was just showing that anyone can try making beer. And yes, glass carboys are synonymous with using metal on teflon.
You’ve made a lot of good videos… but this one might have been the best. You said it without saying it so I’ll say it for you, F that guy. Keep doing Gods work CH.
Excellent video CH! I came across his vid when actively looking for info to get into the hobby... honestly it put me off for a while... I eventually got around to researching it more and realized I don't need the bubble gum mystery fruit set up to get going. My 8th batch is bottle conditioning right now and all have been delish, straightforward, fun to brew and highly rewarding. Love the channel bro keep up the good work 👏
I know "Cheese" is an Old School reference, but I can't help but hear "Richard Allen George...No, It's Just Cheese" by Less Than Jake every time he calls Cheese "Cheese"
They shadow ban booze posts, unless you already have a million subs, then they would have a huge audience to complain to about their video being shadow banned.
vid on point. bought a brewcart from a buddy a couple months ago, looked up how to brew on youtube and watched JW vid first, and now I'm here. shout out to JW for being the gateway drug even if his vids a bit wack
Well said. I am a longtime subscriber to J W and also a homebrewer for over 15 years, I cringed so hard watching that brew vid and frankly some of the lacto-fermentation vids that he's produced. I am also an avid cook, and as you (CH) have pointed out, these all in one systems for brewing make amazing sous-vide on a grand scale! J W is however an amazing cook, otherwise I would have unsubbed from some of the shenanigan's he does, not really talking reverence & authenticity to the subject. It also makes me question some of his other content, like the baking vids, though from my limited experience it looks legit.lo
Ya know… I’m not a huge fan of a lot of beer styles and I’ll openly admit that, I like what I like and that’s just a fact of life… That said I did watch the video your talking about and shook my head a bit, I’m new to this home brewing game and being a bit A.D.D I soak up info like a sponge and in the last month I’ve binge watched you, claw hammer, the home brew challenge, party time brewing, the apartment brewer, Dr Hans and probably a dozen more guys to get my head around the hobby. I went from doing extract blonde ale in a wine fermenter in the spring to just last week kegging a partial extract porter in my new to me kegerator from a Fermzilla while waiting for a Grainfather to show up in the mail so I can move into all grain juicy IPA’s… You guys (all you UA-camrs who have dedicated beer channels) are an inspiration to folks like me and the knowledge you share is fukkin priceless and appreciated! I do outdoor videos now and then and in this corner of UA-cam it’s quite common for big channels to rip content from little guys and do a hack job of it while acting like they are old pros just to up the views… we call em out on it alllll the time…. Anyway… go brew something!!! Thanks eh!
I wouldn't call that A.D.D. P.O. it's more autodidactic and requires way more discipline! It's how you brew a meh first brew and decide to learn why and how to improve that puts you in the 5% of folks that just keep at it instead of giving up on the idea.
Josh is one of my favorite cooking youtubers, but even with only 5 or so batches under my belt I knew his video left a lot to be desired. The glass fermenter was a huge red flag, same with admitting he doesn't even like beer that much? He should've done more research into the community's practices and started out with a basic recipe. I really like Adam Ragusea's beer series, although his is more a deep dive into the science behind it.
BEST BEER EVER? ua-cam.com/video/sJ7ph_9ch5M/v-deo.html
Give us the link to your beginner home brew video just in case people lazy to scroll down 😂

Im so glad that I started out with A northern brewer starter kit. Love my Brew Share enjoy.

That’s how I got to brewing as well. Brewed it too before getting a Grainfather later. Odd taste indeed but a lot of friends liked it.

As soon as I saw Josh pull out the Glass carboy I was like "uh oh". Love my plastic buckets :D Also who in their right mind doesn't love beer!
😂 💕
i think we need an actual collab with Josh cooking the ultimate pairing with your favorite homebrew. josh cooks, braj brews? meet in the middle?
Sign me up!
YES!!!
Sounds good. I watch videos of both channels and it seems like they could easily find a common ground.
If he made up his beer skills, he may have made up his cooking skills.
Freaking hysterical! Came for the knowledge. 🍻Staying for the laughs.
When I started brewing, I watched a multitude of videos including Josh's but after watching H4L, I knew pretty quickly who the Brajlord was and I haven't looked back. Thanks for all you do for the homebrewing community braj! Keep on Keeping on....

❤️ 🍻
Cheers Braj!
Beyond well said!!! (Thanks for the snip it) Your video and Kyle's video are dead on. Great work with the insane amount of editing your video had...I'd lost my mind.
I didn't get into brewing because of you, but I'm definitely still here because of you. Much love braj-
And what a professional, courteous call-out. I said the same on Clawhammer's video, good on both of you.
Much love Braj!
Welcome aboard braj!
Broseph you were the one that got me into Brewing and your videos are great because they can keep me on task with my adult ADD
I got started watching your channel (and a few Australian home brew channels), and I'm glad I did. First batch was an all grain Citra SMASH IPA and it tasted great. Thanks for all the great content braj!
That's the first video I saw when I started homebrewing, 2 years ago. Now I follow a lot of Homebrew channels except for Josh's channel
Great video! Had to watch it twice. To your point, if you scroll thru that video comments, there are plenty of comments like: "great video I need to make beer now!" I wonder how many of these people followed thru and were one batch and done.
Thx for always showing us love Braj!
@5:05 - completely agree...and from then on....
I've got one for you that I would love to see your take on:
Does heating your sparge water actually matter? I've started sparging with cold water, and while it takes a bit longer to get to boil temp after, it simplifies my process considerably and doesn't make a difference to the beer. No need for an entire extra vessel is nice for saving $$$ too.
the amount of heat that the grain cake has will likely overcome the temp of your water, but that being said, you should do the exact same recipe with hot and cold sparge water. See what happens efficiency-wise.
170 sparge!
@@dsr0116 yeah but didn’t taking the temperature up to 76c for ‘mash out’ already stop enzyme conversion?🤔
Glad ur aboard Borgar!
You're the man braj!
MUCH LOVE MATHEW! Cheers from Knoxville my dude! ❤️ 🍻
I never saw his video till Kyle mentioned it. Your videos got me back into home brewing. Specifically the fermenter vid.
💯
Cheers! 🍻 ❤️
I learned how to make sourdough bread like a pro from Josh, and I got back into home brewing (after a one off years ago) mainly from Homebrew4Life.
Props to both for what you do.
and Belgian styles are my favourite. Cheers
Much love CS!
Hell yeah let’s do it!
Love ur grind Braj!
I googled the guy - is the video really out there since 2 years? I’m glad I stumbled over braj Heath and you first!!! I’m 60 batches down in 2 years and won some medals. I recently moved from plastic to metal but it’s the plastic that won the gold. lol.
Also he should do a shirtless brew off with you
Get ‘em!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR REAL Don!
Big balls will always get mad props. Way to go Casey from Cali. I like the way you think and I appreciate what you do. Rock on bru.
Cheers braj
Great vid Braj, just wanted to stop in and let you know I brewed the pink starburst hazy, and totally stole it for my own, and changed the name. Cheers! Everybody fucking loves it.
Hell yeah Chris! 🍻 ❤️
I literally found your channel because I watched Josh's video and thank goodness the UA-cam algorithm sent you to me :) I just want to make my own Guinness Clone, Milk Stout, and Black Lager...I'm here for the partay :)
You got this braj!
Well said, thank you.
🍻
Screw glass carboys. Make your first beer an Amber. Meet friends who love beer. Good lessons learned in this vid 🍻
Where's the link to the short rib vids?
😂 😂 ur the man dude
HOLY SHIT DUDE. Thanks for the shout out!
Lol!
We are on the same page my dude. Cheers terry
🍻
Although I agree with the bad about Joshua’s video (carboy as fermenter, choosing saison, etc) I think overall his video has a positive impact. Like you said there is no way homebrewing channels will get 2.8M views, so even if only 1% of the people that watched his video got into the hobby and stayed brewing, that is still 28000 people, more than the average views in videos of my favorite homebrew channels. So even if it is a homebrew video in a cooking channel done by a non-brewer, I consider it a win for the homebrew community.
Thanks
Love your work and philosophy towards brewing and life! Cheers.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ANDREW! ❤️ 🍻 THIS HELPS WITH ME PRODUCING CONTENT BRAJ!
thankfully you and the bru sho were my firsts, led me on the correct path!
What did you do with all your glass carboys when you moved?
Threw them in the trash where they belong!
You really are the fxxking spokesperson for us homebrewers who watched that cheese video. Keep doing what you love doing man! And I hope that Mr Beast will listen to you and start having brew shows one day!
That would be awesome!
Much love WR!
Brew on.
Much love NOFPV! 🍻
Battlemage in vista has the only one I really enjoy 🤷♂️
Fantastic! You nailed it.
Cheers! 🍻
awesome video Braj! cheers!
Do you just keep posting the bathroom content because I keep tipping... because its totally working!
MUCH LOVE AS ALWAYS BOLD HB!!! ❤️ 🍻
Love it! Keep the guerilla colabs coming.
Hate the game, not the player. (I know theres no hate here, just a fitting expression) I subscribe to both these channels) I love cooking and home brewing. Some good points made here, I think Josh was just showing that anyone can try making beer. And yes, glass carboys are synonymous with using metal on teflon.
I agree with this comment. Leave Josh alone. It's not his fault that his video is on top. He has more views and subscribers.
lol!! Nice eggplant.
I’ve never heard of that dude before now. Now I’ve got to watch it.
You’ve made a lot of good videos… but this one might have been the best. You said it without saying it so I’ll say it for you, F that guy.
Keep doing Gods work CH.
Great video! You had me cracking up! 🍻
Cheers my dude!
man u hit the nail on the head 100% keep it up
Cheers Signor!
Glad i found your Channel longtime ago..
Love the channel bro keep up the good work 👏
❤️ 🍻
Great video CH!!! I wish there were more brewtubers and home brewers is general!!
Let’s get you on the stream soon Braj!
Hey so I have the rest of my ingredients, where do I get turkey jizz from?
🦃 💦 🍻
gotta work for it home boy
@@claytongarred3870 Direct from source, alright alright alright.
Mature 90+ IPA!!!
Just got back into home brewing after giving it a break for about 5 years. Lost AF but enjoying your channel.
Much love Corey! 🍻
why do I all of a sudden want a bubble gum beer...?
Same. Bubbalicious IPA
I know "Cheese" is an Old School reference, but I can't help but hear "Richard Allen George...No, It's Just Cheese" by Less Than Jake every time he calls Cheese "Cheese"
Dude I grew up listening to less than jake
@@HOMEBREW4LIFE I still blast LTJ on brew days!
Losing streak 4 life!
What is kinda of funny is I have never heard of JW till clawhammer and you put out a video about him.
Possibly the best beer making advice video ever.
😘
Thanks papa Braj! Enjoy the content. Hoppy hour is great too. It’s where I drink and pretend to have friends for an hour or 2. Keep up the good work.
You ,Barley & hops, Bearded & bored And Electric brewing is who Got me interested in brewing and distilling
🍻
They shadow ban booze posts, unless you already have a million subs, then they would have a huge audience to complain to about their video being shadow banned.
Dry hopping with turkey jizz changed my life
💯
You are hillarious man, love youre content
vid on point. bought a brewcart from a buddy a couple months ago, looked up how to brew on youtube and watched JW vid first, and now I'm here. shout out to JW for being the gateway drug even if his vids a bit wack
🍻
Galangal is to me, now and forever, "mystery fruit from Zimbabwe"
Loved seeing you in the chat tonight Braj 🍻
I love this channel
Ya know… I’m not a huge fan of a lot of beer styles and I’ll openly admit that, I like what I like and that’s just a fact of life…
That said I did watch the video your talking about and shook my head a bit, I’m new to this home brewing game and being a bit A.D.D I soak up info like a sponge and in the last month I’ve binge watched you, claw hammer, the home brew challenge, party time brewing, the apartment brewer, Dr Hans and probably a dozen more guys to get my head around the hobby.
I went from doing extract blonde ale in a wine fermenter in the spring to just last week kegging a partial extract porter in my new to me kegerator from a Fermzilla while waiting for a Grainfather to show up in the mail so I can move into all grain juicy IPA’s…
You guys (all you UA-camrs who have dedicated beer channels) are an inspiration to folks like me and the knowledge you share is fukkin priceless and appreciated!
I do outdoor videos now and then and in this corner of UA-cam it’s quite common for big channels to rip content from little guys and do a hack job of it while acting like they are old pros just to up the views… we call em out on it alllll the time…. Anyway… go brew something!!!
Thanks eh!
you bet PO!
I wouldn't call that A.D.D. P.O. it's more autodidactic and requires way more discipline! It's how you brew a meh first brew and decide to learn why and how to improve that puts you in the 5% of folks that just keep at it instead of giving up on the idea.
@@Cerevisi
Call it what you will I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with it now 🤣🤣
Josh is one of my favorite cooking youtubers, but even with only 5 or so batches under my belt I knew his video left a lot to be desired. The glass fermenter was a huge red flag, same with admitting he doesn't even like beer that much? He should've done more research into the community's practices and started out with a basic recipe. I really like Adam Ragusea's beer series, although his is more a deep dive into the science behind it.
This was great. Now I want to brew, but im working sadly.
so hilarious and educational. whamooooo!
Homebrew 4 life taught me how to brew. Just upgraded to 10 gallon system!
Proud of you Braj. I miss my 10 gallon system
