Got one almost identical. Had it for close to 10 years now I bet. It’s held up really well. Only issue I’ve had is the vents are copper and have turned green from being wet. Actually looks kinda cool so no biggie lol
I wear a hat almost every single day. I'm on the opposite side of the size factor, I wear kid sized hats/gloves, bracelets etc. XS is my go to...or kids sized so i'm always happy to hear that there are many sizes are available...plus I like the way it looks. Thanks for the Honest Review.
With what we do, a hat is almost a necessity. I can't speak for the UV rating up that way but when it's between June and August here, it's a 10 out of 10 from 10am till 4pm
That keeper is also handy to prevent the helo-drivers from gettin' grumpy at'cha', am I right? Up next, how about some tin pants but made to work for us Southern boys? In your backyard and V/R, at your service.
Hey I've been on the lake fishing for crappie with this hat during those crazy storm spin ups of March. It can go from calm and sunny to 40mph winds in 10 minutes time. And of course Right as the rain starts, that's when the fish bite the best so it's a win win
My Outback Trading Company hats are two Grizzly's and the River Guide. My EDC is the River Guide black, it is malleable whereas the Grizzly is not. The River Guide can be folded, flattened, packed, and the like, and it will bounce back. The Grizzly is a very good hat, however the wire in the brim too often becomes bent thus the brim becomes wonky. Yes, it can be adjusted to its desired shape, but takes too much fiddly time. Each year these hats receive a good dry-brush-cleaning, along with my Duster coat. If needed the hats will also receive another coat of Duck Back Dressing. Never ever put oilskin jacket nor coat in the washing machine or with soapy water. Doing that will remove the oils and its water proofing. Then you will have quite a lengthy process of reproofing; ugh. Also, with jackets and coats before putting them away allow them to completely 100% dry. If not any oilskin jacket and coat can become moldy. After wearing my oilskin in inclement weather I hang them to dry in the open air. For cleaning oilskin use plain water and a brush or just a brush is excellent for cleaning. Once a year the hats I wear receive a coat of Duck Back Dressing for water proofing, then these hats appear brand new. Your comment about benefits of the wide brim are spot-on! Still, your comments made me laugh, reason is I see all those backwoods Bubba's and Bobbett's thinking they are JB Cool Breeze wearing their baseball hats backwards. A while back I saw a husband and wife with their hats on backwards, and with their hands over their eyes shading the sun. Truly they did not look "right-bright" and they had the dorky half moon sun tan of the back of the hat back strap area on their forehead. Stupid is as stupid does.
Thank you for that. I've just been using a brush that works for most of the crap I get on it but I'll definitely be looking for some of that duck back dressing. I can't tell you how many times I see people rocking baseball caps (I have a deep appreciation for any ball cap) when it's super sunny while they're doing a chore that will leave their ears and cheeks absolutely fried. The wide brim is the way to go. As I've gotten older, I can admit this
@@PalmettoPrepared hum. Maybe sell ya mine. Haven’t even worn it in the last couple years but you had me thinking about how I should probably be wearing it today.

That's a badge of honor if I'm being honest. Means you've worn it in less than ideal conditions
@@PalmettoPrepared it’s shed quite a bit of water on some wet days out working cows lol
Hey, I “ heard” you can put shellack or a clear sealant on copper and will help with the oxidation 🤷🏼♂️ Would clean it first if already funky
Thanks. Been looking at their products. Curious, with grommets, head stays dry in downpour? Thanks maaan
@@bayouflats5054 grommets are on the side so unless it’s blowing rain it works good. If it’s blowing rain your getting wet either way lol

Looks good man. Being that I have a bald head, I always have a hat nearby. It's essential EDC at this point.
I'm getting there. It seems like once I had my daughter, my hair gets thinner and thinner
I've had this Hat for years now, Love it. A good spring and Fall hat. I tried wearing it in the Summer. My Brain was Cooking. Lol. Great Video.
Cool. I’ve a nice black coat from them.
Haha. I’ve a ginormous head too
Got my coat at yard sale for 10$
I want their oilskin Duster coat. But I just can't justify the price tag atm

Good review, better choice than cap. 👍👍
I got it for the sun. Got really bad sun blisters on my ears a few years ago
I wear a leather Oglesbee Fedora myself...over 25 yrs old.
