Of course the netizens are to blame. We have voices but no faces, and we would be silent if a spotlight was shown on us. No, these idols have so much pressure on them, specifically Kpop idols because they are expected to be perfect. As an NCTzen, I support Mark full heartedly. Mark isn't perfect, he's a young man who is still growing and learning. We are so lucky to have an idol as talented and genuine as him. 💚💚
Yep, the culprits are netizens and even toxic fans who tell idols they're not skinny enough! Remember Suli from FX? There was a toxic male fan who outrightly told her to lose more weight because she "wasn't to his standards" when he wasn't even good looking himself. I hope idols don't lose themselves and do everything to cater to their fans. While its important to have fans as fans determine their income but health and self-worth is always most important. If idols have decades of poor diet and health, by the time their idol career is over, they'd be spending their hard earned money on medicine instead of retirement.
Skinny, chubby, fat, whatever your body looks like, as long as you are healthy, you're beautiful, it's the best. Winter baby love youuuu 😭Let's always stay healthy.

netizens are at fault for doing this to every idol. whether it's out of concern or hate, talking about their (idols) body is HARMFUL to them. the best thing to do is support them, praise them, and DON'T talk about their body. it's already weird as hell to talk about their body, like why are you so obssessed with their body? let them live and eat what they want in peace. i really just wish SNS, instagram, or any social media these idols have access to can be modded or just filtered.
Aespa and Itzy still live together, so if they are on a diet it's not because they want to, but more like the agency controls what they can eat and how much. Plus, most of the times idols lose weight due to being overworked and eating more won't really help them gain weight, resting is the only thing that allows their bodies to get better, and Itzy and Aespa are not resting enough.
"Perfect body proportions" and they show Jang Wonyoung, who's clearly not healthy and NEEDS help.. and some people are still shocked to see idols starve themselves?
Why blaming netizens when all the blame should be on the fan base itself because they are the people who talks about how slim their idols are and how pretty they are
I guess I was just thinking about the channel. And I was really happy to receive a new video notification. I think idols shouldn't care what netizens think. Only their fans. Because they support them. They wish them the best.

Both netizens and idols should be blamed. First netizens dont have rights to complain abt someone's body and then the idols arent babies, some should know people may hate them no matter what. They're doing this bcoz they too want spotlight, coz there are idols who are confident with they way the are, and dont change for others. You should be confident abt yourself
@@shinejwon7128 yeah but I mean, many kpop idols nowadays (mostly 4th gen gg) are going under harsh diets in order to appeal fans. The thing with kpop is that fans nowadays praise their idols for everything (doens't mean it's necessary bad) so kpop idols feels pressured to maintain and keep the same reputation otherwise fans would feel " betrayed" or disappointed. I think that in some sort of way it's time to let fans and other netizens have the right to criticize and tell their opinions (Ofc hating isn't allowed, but to avoid fans getting crazy over it , we should learn people the difference between hate and criticism) as it may help in some way the idols. When idols always see that they're getting praised and hated at the same time for a simple thing they feel pressured more than ever. If we show them that it's okay that sometimes something doesn't appeal fans, then they will probably try to avoid being unhealthy and going on harsh diets.

This is an incorrect and terrible use of the word spoiled. The 3 girls are not spoiled they are victims of the pressures of being idols (especially visuals) and the unrealistic expectations people have of them. They are damned if they gain any weight or go way too far underweight. But at the end of the day they get more praise, support, opportunities etc for being thin. What happened with Liz in Ive is a great example.
Netizens are wayyy to powerful and wayy to dumb at the same time !! They expect too much from their idols when in reality netizens cant even do half of what idols do daily !!! And the agencies are ones to blame too cause they dont realize that idols are just normal humans beings living supposedely their own dream !!!
When you are young everything looks good like dieting using cosmetics But when you get aged, it makes you regret. So don't try dieting when you are fit Diet only if you are over weighted Just be healthy , this is enough
(TW; Eating disorder discussion) Yuna and Wonyoung seem to be just another case of impossible and UNHEALTHY beauty standards claiming new victims. If they were heavier people would claim they are too fat and ugly because of it. But now that they are trying to live to the standard, people claim they promote ED and diet culture (ignoring that MOST OF the Korean media promotes these already VERY heavily, but Korea is a perfect place that can do no wrong, right? (sarcasm)). And no, there is nothing wrong with being naturally skinny. I was really skinny for most of my childhood and teenage years. I didn't really gain weight. But the thing is when you ARE skinny, and it's all people see you as. You start to think that being skinny is your only good quality so you can easily slip into unconscious ED and not even realize it. And most bodies start to gain more fat tissue as we get older, especially AFAB people. I think people forget these are all young people, just like us. They have the same insecurities and self-hate as we do, but most of us don't get 24/7 feedback on whether we gained weight or if we lost too much weight. This isn't to say people shouldn't call out when a person seems really unhealthily skinny, especially if it's known that they are on a diet despite it. But the sad reality is, if it is ED, the victim doesn't see it themselves. ED is a mental disorder that can distort your perspective on reality, they need medical and psychological help in most times. No one suddenly decides to put themself through that.
You really can't blame them, when people continuosly praise for your figure or dressing style or face or anything, it pressurise you to maintain the same thing otherwise people will be disappointed in you. And for an idol it's a huge deal. Because more people are watching them the more they are getting paid. One thing more the netizens obviously need some education... That anime character are drawn character.. they can't be in real. How could you expect a person to look like a manga or webtoon character ? 👀
I think both are to blame, kpop fans putting too much high expectations on idols especially when it comes to beauty standards, and idols themselves for giving into fans demands, even their companies. I also believe if you keep planting the "beauty goddess or handsome god" into and idols head, it really does go to their head.
But we should also be aware of the power their companies hold. Companies can stop their artists from activities if they have some internal matters with the idol. And give us some shitty excuses too. They can shame their own idols because of the netizens' remarks. So they lose weight unethically and in a unhealthy manner! Netizens are to blame, but the companies are no less evil when it comes to treatments.
Wahhh mark literally went live because it's his birthday... All NCT members celebrates their bday on livestream. So why would he criticize for it... My ghoddd and they call themselves Japanese "nctzens" when they were only there to support Mark ONLY. What a hypocrisy 🙄🤨
Wonyoung's case is quiet concerning and serious. I don't like speaking on idols weight because if they are under weight because they are getting attention and in their mind it is good and their weight loss is working. I belive that speaking on these things is more hurtful than ignoring it because it's almost like encourging them. At the begining I totally ignored her weight but now it's actually becoming dangerous. Shes been recorded holding her hand on her chest because she couldn't breath while not on camera, she is hurting herself and her situation is serious. I don't thinl i'll speak on her weight again but I needes to explain that it isn't something to make fun of and joke about because i've seen people doing exactly that.
i think that one of the reasons that winter is trying so hard is because people were always going on and on about how karina posses a “better” visual ( “” because beauty is subjective ) so she felt more pressure to become “prettier”. no hate!
I don’t want to blame Mark and don’t need to. I just want him to have some rest. Even though one day these things are not out of context and really comes from his mind ,I just wish someone could be careful about that mind of someone who has been working so hard or maybe even overworked. When you are tired it eats up all your mind and body. Could imagine a hood mind of Mark? I can’t even imagine how he would feel about his health each day since that working started.
Please stop saying that Mark is spoiled it's those mindless people who called themselves fan but never care about the health of their idol, Mark is always being overworked along with Haechan do you think it's easy to be in two units and promote them continuously one after another. They will still blame if Mark have COVID-19 and attend the concert too so please atleast be grateful that he atleast got a little rest instead of calling him spoiled or whatever negative things you all called him because if you were the one who is in his place i don't think you will even be able to stand properly so atleast be thankful that he always work hard for us
It’s definitely the Netizens fault for bashing the K-pop idols on their weight it’s basically fat shaming them they are fabricating these negative comments in their minds and took it to far an has to complain about them being underweight or overweight. i am soo furious by the way u reported the mark incident as u have taken them way out of proportion safe to say i was angry furious and confused during mark's section pls stop🤬🤬😡😡😡
idols are literally just human beings, and i think a lot of netizens forget that. i've had anorexia for the past 7 years, and when it comes to comments on my body, praise and criticism are both triggering. praise makes me want to keep starving because i'm doing something "right", but it also hurts because people will praise my body at my most unhealthy and not know all the pain i go through to get there, and it makes me feel like i have to stay skinny to be praised and liked. i do not blame these girls for falling into disordered behaviour when they have millions of eyes on them, constantly watching and analyzing their every move. especially having seen how harsh netizens can be when their opinion turns for the worst, of course these idols would want to uphold an image that gains them praise. as for marks "controversy", i don't see what he did wrong. it seems like netizens are taking things out of context to fit their own narrative. so what if he was disappointed about not being able to play basketball? that doesn't mean he wasn't also disappointed about missing the fan meet. he probably mentioned the basketball thing because it was more fresh in his mind. either way, fans trying to micromanage his feelings and what he says is not okay.
Jesus so many people complaining about Mark when so much was a misunderstanding. They're held on this high expectation of never speaking out of line never eating and keeping a figure but don't lose weight. Never voice your opinion. Never say how you feel. I mean nothing is ever good enough. If people are true fans they'd understand that while yes I get they paid a lot for the tour do you understand how much training and work kpop artists do day in day out all hours? Do you know how little they sleep how little they eat? And still work hard and never have time for themselves can you really get mad he was upset he couldn't have a minute to himself or on HIS birthday the second he got a chance he went to see his fans. He could've been like screw y'all but no instead of being flattered people complain. And this is why suicides happen because of people like this!
Wonyeong is the one who is most unhealthy & I’m concerned about. You can just see Yujin’s Height/bone size to body weight and see what Wonyeong should weigh as they’re the same bone size & height. Yuna’s body on the other hand, Doesn’t concern me necessarily because my ribs when I was at the bottom of my BMI did what hers did & I was still eating healthy, not starving myself (chicken & lots of fruit/dairy) even though my ribs did what her did when she moved. I ate just the main meals, barely snacked. If I snacked it was usually fruit/cheese/yogurt, every so often carb snack- things like that. You can be at the low end of your BMI and still be healthy. She may not be within hers, I’m not saying she is, but she can still look like that & be within her healthy weight range as well. I know bc of myself. I inline skated several hours every day at that point, which burned a lot of fat on top of how I was eating so I was very lean & at low end of my BMI. Her calorie burner is strenuous dancing & always being on the go, on top of if she eats like I did- those things together can actually make her as skinny as she is without starving herself & still be within healthy BMI range for her height. A third/4th factor to throw in is metabolism & body types. I’m hourglass, I gain weight as quickly & easily as I lose it, that’s why eating like I did kept it pretty balanced on top of how much I loved around/worked out. She seems to have a body type similar to Tzuyu but not exactly like Tzuyu’s either (just for close comparison).
You compared Wonyung to so much Kpop idols here and their bodies. Yes, she may need to worry about her health, but what about her mental health. Netizens are the ones who caused this and no one is saying there made a mistake it's your guys faults she is like this none of this would have happened. She isn't you and will never be so I see no reason to tell your experience with eating and comparing it to hers? You may not see it but all your doing in this paragraph is comparing bodies (This wasn't hate and I'm sorry if I was being rude) But you guys can't talk about people's bodies like that your just a fan so please don't overstep I am too.
Yuna DOES look healthy, she is even more muscular than Lia (there is a video of them trying show off their arms' muscles and her legs are quite strong), her waist isnt even that small in real life, the stylists make her wear wide pants, large hip pads and big blazers so she has that unrealistic tiny waist and hourglass figure (which is quite disgusting since many girls would see it and feel that they should be like her, when she herself has a wider waist and not many curves in real life and it is all a fake body that impressionable preteens wish they had), but Wonyoung's case is one the most horrible cases of 3ating d1sorders in kpop, that is the reason I dont stan IVE, Starship doenst deserve to be successful by allowing Wonyoung to die in front of kpop stans' eyes.

Wonyoung happened because "fans" keep on telling her to lose more. She is barely 18 and already has a big problem that could be fatal because people still say to her to lose more.
Not just her but Yuna, Winter and the other idols included happened all because of " Fans "
Lol,, it's two sided... netizens are wrong for the expectations and idols are wrong for fulfilling the wrong expectations and not being true to themselves and promoting a bad thing..... it's not like there aren't famous or successful singer who are not so called good looking....Idols nowadays care too much about money to do any right thing....and netizens are shit ....
@أدريس آدم♂️ ikr
ppl just expect too much from idols.
I can't blame Winter, y'all did this to her with the dumb "beauty" standard.
Marks' opinion was so lol for real:) Thinking idols as God is the only thing the new fans in this industry can do to their idols

Being a visual isn't easy either.
Those girlies definitely spoiled by to the pressure of looking unrealistic.
netizens are at fault for doing this to every idol. whether it's out of concern or hate, talking about their (idols) body is HARMFUL to them. the best thing to do is support them, praise them, and DON'T talk about their body. it's already weird as hell to talk about their body, like why are you so obssessed with their body? let them live and eat what they want in peace. i really just wish SNS, instagram, or any social media these idols have access to can be modded or just filtered.
Exactly, it's so sad
Leave Winter alone u highly opinionated Netizens
It’s crazy to place standards then get mad when they try to reach it.
Why blaming netizens when all the blame should be on the fan base itself because they are the people who talks about how slim their idols are and how pretty they are

Both netizens and idols should be blamed. First netizens dont have rights to complain abt someone's body and then the idols arent babies, some should know people may hate them no matter what. @@s律-z8l its totally nonsense about them making this accusations cuz most kpop idol are skinny
If we show them that it's okay that sometimes something doesn't appeal fans, then they will probably try to avoid being unhealthy and going on harsh diets.

wonyoung and Yuna were healthy in their debut era especially wonyoung, but ever since I saw her in eleven, it makes me scared about what is gonna happen to her, I don’t want her to end up in hospital for starving herself and I certainly don’t want netizens to keep encouraging her to loose more weight, this is the last thing I will say, in her eleven era she looked more thicker than she does now. Pls netizens Stop encouraging to do these things that will cause her to end up in the hospital.
I actually agree with this comment other than the other ones comparing her body and yes she does look much skinnier than when she previously did, and I blame all of this on netizens STOP TALKING ABOUT IDOLS BODIES AND HOW THEY LOOK (to netizens).
Mark joking about an earthquake seriously isn’t a big deal, people joke about stuff like that all the time , for some people it’s easier to cope with stuff by joking about it, why are people so damn sensitive ugh

Winter gained weight and plus winter is the shy introvert of aespa the way ppl r portraying her is just weird
Netizens are wayyy to powerful and wayy to dumb at the same time !! They expect too much from their idols when in reality netizens cant even do half of what idols do daily !!! When you are young everything looks good like dieting using cosmetics
But when you get aged, it makes you regret.
So don't try dieting when you are fit
Diet only if you are over weighted
Just be healthy , this is enough
(TW; Eating disorder discussion)
Yuna and Wonyoung seem to be just another case of impossible and UNHEALTHY beauty standards claiming new victims.
When the idols lose weight they get for that and when they gain weight they also get hate for that
Well for Wonyoung,Yuna and Winter it wasn't their fault. Wonyoung is forced and brainwashed to diet and act cute. Same goes to Winter and Yuna.
Idk but I think Winter look more healthy than her debut era now
I think both are to blame, kpop fans putting too much high expectations on idols especially when it comes to beauty standards, and idols themselves for giving into fans demands, even their companies.

Literally people are dramatic. Leave mark alone
Rule in life:
You can't satisfy Everybody.
Make sure you are satisfied about yourself ! (for YOU!)
i think that one of the reasons that winter is trying so hard is because people were always going on and on about how karina posses a “better” visual ( “” because beauty is subjective ) so she felt more pressure to become “prettier”. no hate!
the craziest thing is it's not hip pads👀
Stop pissing off artists, for God's sake.
I meant good mind not hood mind.
Maybe I’m the one who’s out of context here but I just become so worried about him.
With idol’s is more pressuring with hate comments combined 😭🙁

Who is that?
i am soo furious by the way u reported the mark incident as u have taken them way out of proportion safe to say i was angry furious and confused during mark's section pls stop🤬🤬😡😡😡
idols are literally just human beings, and i think a lot of netizens forget that. i've had anorexia for the past 7 years, and when it comes to comments on my body, praise and criticism are both triggering. praise makes me want to keep starving because i'm doing something "right", but it also hurts because people will praise my body at my most unhealthy and not know all the pain i go through to get there, and it makes me feel like i have to stay skinny to be praised and liked. i do not blame these girls for falling into disordered behaviour when they have millions of eyes on them, constantly watching and analyzing their every move. especially having seen how harsh netizens can be when their opinion turns for the worst, of course these idols would want to uphold an image that gains them praise.
as for marks "controversy", i don't see what he did wrong. it seems like netizens are taking things out of context to fit their own narrative. so what if he was disappointed about not being able to play basketball? that doesn't mean he wasn't also disappointed about missing the fan meet. he probably mentioned the basketball thing because it was more fresh in his mind. either way, fans trying to micromanage his feelings and what he says is not okay.
Nah, Yuna just cannot understand she is on V live and not Onlyfans
Seriusly hating these kpop idol wont make them rich
