    Wonderful Tonight
    Intro: G, D/F#, C, D, Em, D7/F# x2
    G D/F# C D7
It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear
    G D/F# C D7
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair
    C D G D/F# Em
And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?"
    C D7 G
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."
    (Repeat Intro)
    G D/F# C D7
We go to a party and everyone turns to see
    G D/F# C D7
This beautiful lady that's walking around with me
    C D G D/F# Em
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"
    C D G
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."
    C D
I feel wonderful because I see
    G D/F# Em
The love light in your eyes
    C D
And the wonder of it all
    C D7
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you
    (Repeat Intro)
    G D/F# C D7
It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head
    G D/F# C D7
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed
    C D G D/F# Em
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light
    C D7 G
I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight
    C D7 G
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."
    (Repeat Intro)

Valuable tips for a simple song. Well done and thanks, Steve.

27:20 Steve, this was a great tip with playing the signature line while holding with the thumb. I’ve been strictly pinky anchoring when doing signature lines and it never occurred to me to anchor with the thumb. Awesome stuff, and thanks for taking the time to put this out there.

This is a great instructional video to help beginners to grow as a piano player. Don’t expect every tutorials to be a note per note video. Great job Steve!

That was great. Thanks, Steve. I see some other commenters wishing for a note-by-note arrangement but I agree with the simple method you are applying here. Having the 'tools' to play many songs is better than learning just one song...particularly when the song is not a 'piano' song.
This is a lovely song and I liked your 'adaptation' so much I'm going to try to turn it into an arrangement. Thanks again.

This is the best tutorial Steve has put out. GLIDE method is awesome, i always have trouble with E and this just expalined everything perfectly... adaptable to so many other songs, answered heaps of the questions I had as I always wanted you to do a tutorial for Glory Of Love but with this video, its not needed anymore. Thanks heaps Steve, you are the man.

This is exactly what I needed! I also have some of your courses, Steve, and highly recommend these because you start with the basics and take the student to this level and higher.

Steve, This is an excellent video demonstrating application of your PianoMan Approach. I've completed all four of your courses and this was a fantastic practical application of the techniques taught in them along with a few new nuances or variations. Glad I've had those courses first. Now looking forward to more of these demos.

Is he going to be showing us how to play the song in detail, like he did on Colour My World by Chicago? I hope so! He’s absolutely the best at showing people how to play a song! 😀

Looks like some people need to learn how to play the piano.

Hmm…no, this is not what I was hoping for. I was hoping he was going to teach the song from beginning to end and play it from beginning to end so we could hear what it sounds like. But that’s not what he did. He gave us about 20 different options on how to play a small fragment of the song, but never did go all the way through it from beginning to end. What’s with that? We want to be told exactly how to play it, Steve. We don’t know how to play, so giving us a bunch of options on how to play it is not the thing to do. I still have no idea what to play after watching this. 🫤

Sorry to disappoint you, but I have many song "demonstrations" like this on my channel, and a lot of people who like them. My piano courses are a "system" of playing that allows you to learn any song, not just a collection of note for note tutorials, which in this case would be me making up my own arrangement to teach because it's not a song that was done on piano. I have done a number of note for note transcriptions for Billy Joel & Elton John (and a very small handful of other songs with an obvious piano part like "Colour My World" by Chicago) because they are songs based on a piano part, and because I have a very special relationship with that fan base, but that isn't how I make a living or what I primarily teach. I will still add to those collections on occasion, but it's not what I mostly do. Thanks for commenting, and sorry this wasn't your cup of tea

@@PianoManSteve: I understand, it’s just that when you show mostly “beginners” how to learn ANY song, leaving them to decide HOW they want to play a song with so many different options that you gave winds up being more frustrating than anything. With 10 different ways to do something, how does the beginner decide what to do or where to start? Since the song wasn’t played primarily on piano, I think it would’ve been better for YOU, as an expert, to choose a nice way to play it for your subscribers, and then go with that. I don’t think anybody would complain about what you chose. But leaving people to their own devices on exactly what to do is going to make a lot of beginners just throw up their hands and give up.
