This song just describes the theme for the game... Old Planes facing off against New Futuristic Planes in a Futuristic War. This is one of the best songs Namco has produced.
Partially due to this game being closest to Ace Combat 3 when it comes to the timeline (apart from that GBA Ace Combat lol). Ace Combat 7 takes place in 2019. Ace Combat X takes place in 2020. Ace Combat 3 takes place in 2040.
I don't know if it biased beacus it wre the first ace combat game that's i know and play, but ACX is having the most sound track that's fit perfectly to my ear especially during mission

Can't believe the best Ace Combat track comes from the PSP games, lol.
The story wasn't 100% great like 4, 5 or Zero, but it's definetly Better than 6 and its on par with 7
But the gameplay Will Always be great

Sounds a bit like "Eye of the Storm" from Ace Combat 3.
This makes me think of an experimental aircraft flying for the first time. Fits perfectly when u fly thru the clouds in the Fenrir @ 1500+mph.
The XFA33 Fenrir along with the X49 are the most powerful aircraft in the franchise
