very nicely explained.. one thing i like to ask is that whether liquor is available there or not? if available at reasonable prices or highly charged?
Mayank Singhal I am not sure about the prices but yes, you will get liquor in Port Blair.
For couple point of view , i guess manually & booking arranging all things not good , as there no connectivity , i have been thinking to book package from Delhi its going to cost around 70K. 30k flights & 40k for Accommodation + all travels & transfers included. Package will of 5N , 6D (2 Port bliar , 2 heavlock & 1 Niel) in Jan , 2021. @Amit your comment will be appreciated about this idea,
Hi Ravi, there is no problem to plan yourself even if you are traveling with your spouse. I traveled to Andaman twice with my wife and both times I planed my trip myself completely. However if you are getting a 6 days package in 70k for two persons and you want to avoid the hassle of planning than I think its an ok deal, you can go with it.

Yes I booked all my Andaman accommodation in advance through online hotel booking websites. You can try any websites I mainly use make my trip and goibibo.

Akshaykumar Biradar I have booked from these agents only, may be they have stopped doing this. You can check form some other travel agents from net or you can ask your hotel for doing this booking for you or you can book after going there.

Can we travel in an auto rickshaw/ vehicle at Havelock and Niel Island?
Prabhuta Mishra auto rickshaw will be available at Havelock but not at Neil. At Neil your hotel can arrange cab for you.
Very nice and detailed video. We are planning to visit Andaman in 1st week of June please let me know if this is the right time to visit.
Mansha ji in my opinion June is not a good time to visit Andaman as it will be very humid and also there might be lots of rains. Better to plan after mid of Sep.

Do i have to book before landing in port Blair or i can book the ticket directly from the counter while reaching in port Blair?? Please 🙏 help as I'm travelling by myself
Hi, you can not book government ferry tickets before hand as their online booking is not possible and the booking of tickets opens only 4 days before the scheduled departure. Only way is to book from the ticket counter when the booking opens.
So, have some margin time in your planning and book the tickets from ticket counter after reaching Port Blair.

Why can't I book hotel after landing? Is there any problems with that?
There is no problem in that, its just that its better to pre-book the hotel when we are going to a remote place where there are not much hotel options available, specially in peak season.

Hi Divya, thanks for the appreciation 😊 Regarding the accommodation for solo traveller, there are some government owned tented accommodation at Radhanagar beach in Havelock. You may try to do some research for these tents option, you may find some solution with that. The tents are already installed there, we don’t have to carry them. Thanks Meera ji for watching the video. I think the minimum age for scuba diving is 10 years, but you can check the exact details once you reach Andaman.
Also, in my information there is no water activities specifically for kids but they can do some simple activities in the supervision of parents.

Yes Pradip ji, aapko apna poora saman le ke travel karna padega Havelock aur Neil island. Agar aap Port Blair mein jahan stay kar rahe hain wahan par Havelock- Neil se vapas aa ke bhi stay karne wale hain to unse request kar sakte hain wahan kuch luggage rakhne ke liye.

Sanjay Kumar ji, its not necessary to take a package. As far as Andaman is concerned its a trade-off between budget and relaxed traveling. If you plan your travel yourself then Andaman planning needs a bit more extensive research and precise planning and during the trip also you have to be on your toes to manage everything but this will save you some money and you will have more flexibility during your trip and you will get more experience. On the other hand if you go with a package then you will be much more relaxed and chilled out as they will take care of everything, but of-course this will cost you more. So, based on these factors you can decide.
It's better to plan by yourself.check details in Internet.

Anwesha Nandi we did not book cab at these Islands. We rented bicycle at Neil island. You should get cabs at the jetty itself or you can ask your hotel also to arrange a cab for you.

Mbk Jayant buddy this is a medical situation and I am not an expert to comment on this. But as far as I know still there are no corona virus case detected in Andamans. So its up to you if you want to travel or not. I have not stopped my travelling because of this virus. I can only say that if you are travelling then do take the precautions like wearing mask in flight and other closed spaces with lots of people.

Mbk Jayant first of all there is no direct flight from any other country to Port Blair so all the foreign tourists must be coming to Andaman via some other airport. And I suppose now every one coming from other country is being screened for corona virus at the airports.

Christina Bordoloi actually Neil island abhi tourism ke point of view se jada developed nahi hua hai. When we went there at that time there was no cab system there but may be now somethings have changed. Aap jis hotel mein stay karoge unse bhi poonch sakte ho shayed wo aapke liye cab arrange kar saken Neil island ghimne ke liye.

Even i will be visiting andaman on 4th to 9th september..i have booked both way flight and rooms at havalock..but at neil island its too costly..was looking for some cheap but good stay at neil. I m following ur travel plan itself...please guide to make my travel accomodation bit cheaper
ASHISH JHA actually Neil island is not yet much developed for tourism and only few resorts are there that is why the rent is a bit costly there. We stayed in the pearl park beach resort, it was a bit costly but the price was worth it because of its location. I did a quick room search within your travel dates and found some rooms in this link

I think this is the least price that you will get in Neil island. There is a government guest house also in Neil island and for that you have to call them to check the availability and have to send a demand draft for booking. You can get their details on net. Also, please visit the Andaman tourism website that I have mentioned in the description of this video, that will be very helpful for your planning.

Shrikant Kendale please try calling Sanju on 8900936493. He would be able to help you with government ferry tickets. Government ferry tickets are booked only 3 days in advance so plan accordingly.

Travel with Amit I booked for government ferry on my own. But it was not easy as I had to stand in queue from 6 am for getting tickets by 10 am. Because it's such an ordeal and there is no guarantee of getting tickets for government ferry, private agencies would book the ticket only if you book their package.
Sanju is an islander whom I met there and he told me being an islander he could help tourists get tickets. He seemed to be a genuine guy so I think it would be helpful for other tourists if you mentioned his contact details in the description.

Hi Amit, one important question from my side.. you are the savior now. Government resorts are available at cheaper price. Approximately 1000 in each place. Are these places safe to book? This is urgent ..please suggest.
Hi Akshay, to be honest I don’t have any experience with government guest houses in Andaman. But I have stayed in government guest houses at some other places in south India and in my experience they were perfectly safe in general and definitely they are cheaper. The only thing is that there will not be as much facilities and other amenities as would be in a private hotel. But I think on safety point of view they will be fine as compared to any other cheap private hotel in same budget because after all they are government resorts and sometimes even the government officers also stay in them when they visit there.

Hi Akshay. I recently visited Andaman, and as you said there are government guest houses on all islands here. I will try to mention below their names.
Port Blair - Teal House
Circuit House
Havelock- Dolphin Resort
Neil- Hawa Bill Resort
These guest houses are the best places to stay in these islands. For bookings to be done you need to contact them directly. You would get their contact details on Google.

Akshay Bookings cannot be done online. You have to call them, they will guide you with the procedure exactly what has to be done.

Is there easy available of guide and charges for hiring one?
Syed Amir Ali I have made a separate video for scuba and sea walk, you can refer that for all the details of these activities. Apart from that jet ski and snorkelling are not that much costly and need not be planned in advance. We did not do these activities but they are available in Port Blair and Havelock at Elephant beach. And I am not sure about the tunnel thing bcz its a new thing and was not available when we went to visit south Andaman.

Aaina ji, actually it depends on the duration of your trip. I have mentioned the amount at the end of this video. If you plan it yourself instead of taking a package then you can make it in less budget as we did. We went for 9 days and our expenditure was 27k per head including everything. Also, the main expanse happens in flight tickets, so, if you plan well in advance or buy tickets during some offers then you can save quite a lot on air tickets.

At that time a week long trip should cost you less then 25k including all expanses and including some water sports like scuba diving or sea walk as well if you book flight tickets now itself and if you don’t look for very expensive resorts in Andaman.

Ronit bro as I said in the video you can either book from ticket counter after going there or you can try to ask some tour operator to do the booking. I have given some contacts for this in the description but I got feedback from people that this method is now very difficult as the tour guys are reluctant to this if we are not buying there full package. Aap Andaman mein jis hotel mein rukne wale hain unse bhi request kar ke dekh sakte hain.
