- In today's episode we are taking you on a street food tour in Jhansi’s Sadar Bazaar neighbourhood that is a busy marketplace and food hub. Located in the South western part Of Uttar Pradesh, the historic city of Jhansi is renowned for the courage and valour of Rani Lakshmibai, who fought valiantly against the British forces during the First War of Indian Independence in 1857. Each and every corner of the city reminds us of its glorious past.
The first stop of this tour was Avadh Foods located in Civil Lines. This vegetarian joint is famous for their Awadhi style veg biryani and veg kebab roll. The crowd was a testimony to its popularity. The pocket friendly rates and good taste is key to its success. The biryani containing soya, nuggets and paneer was aromatic and balanced while the veg galouti kebab roll stole the smile because of the flavourful kebab made of legumes, raw banana and papaya.
The second stop was Jai Bhole Dugdh Bhandar and here we joined our foodie host from the city Shrishti Tiwari. She is a budding food blogger from here. She brought us here to make us try a fascinating dish called raita samosa. We have tried samosa with many combinations and this one was quite novel. We felt a little uncertain when the person crushed a samosa and topped it with a thick boondi and yogurt raita. But with each bite we grew fonder of this unique treat that somewhat reminded us of a samosa chaat. It was zesty, refreshing and satisfying.
The third stop was Shrinath Pav Bhaji Pulao Center in Sadar Bazaar. This small eatery attracts foodies longing for Mumbai style pav bhaji and tawa pulao. It is prepared in small batches in the front counter of the shop and distributed to the customers. The pulao was buttery, spicy yet flavourful while the bhaji was spicy and tangy. It paired really well with both the pulao and pillowy soft pav.
The fourth stop was Bombay Bhel Puri & Pattice Corner. As the name suggests we were there to try the bhel puri. But it was no ordinary Bhel puri because this one had a generous topping of grated paneer on it. The homemade chutney and chilli pickle gave it a very different spicy taste while the paneer slightly mellowed it down.
The fifth stop was Mahavir Ice Cream Cart. It was a part of the wide network of ice cream and kulfi sellers that goes by the above name. It was a colourful and tidy cart. We tried the badam milk because it is one of Anubhav's childhood favourites. The former was smooth, creamy and luscious while the later was refreshing and creamy.
The final stop of the tour was Jamna Paan Bhandar near Shiv Mandir that has been around since 1919.

Only Narayan chaat and jamna paan are original of jhansi baaki sab bahar ke food stalls hai Jo ab jhansi main AA Gaye hain
In a part of video it is mentioned that bundelkhand food is spicy , but it is not true at all spicy food is only available in jhansi and surrounding district the food is variable in Sagar and surrounding areas is is not spicy only salty

Anubhav Ji I had visited the NARAYAN chaat but honestly I didn’t find Bhalla’s not in good taste. The curd and chutney on the top was not good in taste. Honestly the NATRAJ dahi bhalle is far better. There was no creamy dahi I am sorry to say even Bhalla was not soft. I don’t know how you rate them. After watching your video had gone to this place and it was raining but I was highly disappointed. You are indirectly an ambassador to them but what about when you don’t find them upto that standard which you promote the Narayan chaat.
