I wish everyone at cslb was as informative as you. I’ve been having so much trouble, very confused and no help. They cash our checks and say we sent the wrong applications. Sent a new one and again check was cashed but no letters or exam date. It’s been so bad that my husband and i are thinking of giving up and that makes me want to cry.

Do I have to have my business name and address to apply or can I still apply without business name and address?
I’ve worked for my father in stone fabrication and installation for 6 years but don’t have taxes to prove it. Is it possible to include this as experience?

Hi Allen, my first name is Allen, as well. So. that'll be pretty simple to remember. Great video, very thorough and the simplicity was everything I needed, as I have been spending almost 2 weeks trying to not make any mistakes and looking for examples when filling out the experience statement(s) given by the qualifiers. However, I was 100% looking for you to complete "Part 2: Section 5, of the Certification of Work Experience" part of the Application. Do you have any other videos illustrating that or discussing how to do it correctly, as I am 100% self-employed. Additionally, I read that "a Bachelors degree carries 3 year experience", because it is a 4 year degree, is that a correct or incorrect statement....? GREAT VIDEO and I will definitely be leaving you a great review soon 👍

I was told that the certifier must check on box (contractor license) and employer, is this true?

Hello Erick, You can have several different contractors fill out an endorsement sheet which is the second to last page in your application.
if i have a drug felony charge will that affect my application? I have well over 6 years of experience in HVAC, Glazing & Metal Work as well as CAD experience...

Quick question, I had my application returned because and I quote "The word(s) in your business name cannot represent any individual(s) not listed as
part of the application personnel". They emailed me my original application and told me to initial the corrections. They don't ask to send back a new application so do I just cross out the original business, write a new one, then just initial on the side or what? Thank you in advance

No, you would put the specific dates, like you did. But be warned you need 4 years of experience.

Yes. If you can have a licensed plumber or General Contractor sign off on your experience that would really help. But you can still move ahead without that.
You would simply file your application as self-employed. If you have the 4 years you will qualify.
what if I have been working for myself for about a year and a half plumbing under 500 a job? how do I add that expirience to my application? or can I?
A year is not enough. You need 4 years experience

The bond for $100,000 will cost you between $9,000 to $15,000 depending on your credit

Wondering the same. Seems like they only give you the option for a single company/qualifier. Maybe you can print that same page(17?) multiple times for additional qualifiers( who will verify your experience). Good luck!

I have over 10 years of construction work experience as self employed. All years been file tax. Can I used that as my work experience?? Trying to start my own business by getting the General B license.
Yes, as self employed doing construction full time you can use a combination of past invoices, contracts, taxes, and bank statements if they ask.
