@@cholten99 Lumity happened because the creator, a bi woman, pushed for it HARD-same with nearly every other cartoon with sapphic rep. If there are gay and bi men working in the animation industry who are that dedicated to showing their stories onscreen then I see no reason why it shouldn’t happen sooner rather than later. No need to be all doom-and-gloom about it!

Rey Prunespawn Skywalker She-Ra’s main character comes out as lesbian by the end of the series and that was earlier this year... only thing Owl House has is that its the first time Disney’s allowed their main characters to be anything but straight but thats still a massive achievement when you think about it

So, this would still mean tOH is still the first show to have an openly Bi lead character. While Korra is the first series to do it (since the bisexual aspect of her character was kept hidden. She was not openly Bi until outside the main show).
Similarly (and totally unrelated) Spongebob Squarepants is not gay. He is asexual. This is confirmed by his creator,
Stephen Hillenburg, who heard people saying Bob was gay, because of some aspects of his personality, while Stephen stated that it was simply that Bob conforms to no gender roles, and is actually closer to asexual than anything else.
I only bring that last bit up because it gets talked about a lot, recently, about kids shows with LGBTQ+ representation, and I'm always annoyed that people get that wrong. And get more annoyed when people tell me I'm being erasist, by telling gay people not to claim him when he belongs to the aces.
