    Thanks for the great video. JBS has always been a great company to deal with both before and after the sale.

    I have a machine that only one company makes clutch parts for. So of I may ask how many mm should I shave off my 0rimary sheaves going from a 26" to a 30" tire. I was going to machine 2mm off each side. I just wanna lower my overall gear not gain speed.

    My 2006 rhino 660, belt is riding high on the front sheaves (blue spring) & 27x11-r14 rear tires..... Any help on how to fix this or what to buy to correct this ?

    Thanks for video. Got a quick question. Out of your experience, what causes the back have of primary, with cooling fins....what would cause rubbing against wet clutch casting? Thanks

      Splines are stripped in that sheave most likely.do the splines go all the way through the center

    • @dgmenace73
      @dgmenace73 4 роки тому +1

      @@WVHotRodRhino no. It had the cheaper style sheave on it ,(where the splines are at most 1/8" thick)....that pressed insert was not on it at all. Evidently when the original owner had it worked on, they lost the insert or knocked it put and forgot to put it or press it back in??? I have a HiSun 600cc ATV and robbed the sheave off it. It pulls great now!

    2019, he's still saying you can't mill the rim off completely on the 850 cvt because it will damage the sheaves. JBS has been running them since 2017 with zero issues.

      got a clutch kit from jbs and gained 10 mph and loads of torque. well worth the money. James at jbs is super helpful with any questions . I called him several times while installing the kit and he was very knowledgeable which made the job much easier. JBS all the way!!

    Jeez. If I had to buy one of these cornfangled sheave plates there based on looks of these 2 fellows I'd have to go with the JBS

    Ordered my JBS kit for my 17 Grizzly 700 a while back, the guy was super pleasant to deal with. He gave me a discount, and also dealt with all my questions and numerous phone calls until I made up my mind. I love this guy, and his products. The other guys suck, and its pretty clear if you do your research. I love this video, nothing like some good ol' honest truth. JBS! Buy the best, Fuck the rest!

    I've got a 2012 arctic cat wildcat 1000 that has a set up like this and I would like to have better bottom end. Do you do work to arctic cat or are you interested in trying to do it for me. I have bought and extra one because I've been trying to find someone that does this type of work.

    I ordered a jbs extreme sheave for my kodiak 17 700. I have a 1.5mm shim also. Is it going to tear my belt up or are you saying it’s fine to run a shim?

    • @WVHotRodRhino
      @WVHotRodRhino  4 роки тому +1

      Don't run that much with our sheave...it could get into the belt cover.Run .5 with the sheave.1.5 on stock sheave is fine

    about 2 years ago, I got involved in sxs and like everyone else, wanted to learn about free/cheap mods. I found some Hworks videos including the one shown and some "technical papers". First, let me say that I know this is a grassroots sport and many products evolved thanks to good ole tinkering and trial & error... But, as a mechanical engineer, listening to the Hworks talk in terms of absolutes yet saying "I guess" about everything made me cringe. Good thing he don't build bridges. I find your products and descriptions much more intriguing, valid, and descriptive. This is not to say yours is as technical as say Yamaha's own engineering team, but everything described is more recognized and generally accepted. good luck to you sir, and one day I will be a customer.

    It's good information, but I find this feud quite unprofessional actually since you used to call Hunterworks Inc for advise when you first started machining sheaves.

    • @WVHotRodRhino
      @WVHotRodRhino  9 років тому +4

      ZipTy ..there is no feud.. showing facts..what it was is i bought his junk and had to fix it myself..i wouldnt have had to make my own if he knew wtf he was talking about...so take your unprofessional shit and stick it...i guess i should set back and let him call me out and feed people the wrong info to sell his junk...not gonna do it

      @@WVHotRodRhino wow just found this video better late than never i guess .......if the parts are better and the customer service is as good as ive read then i dont see it as unprofessional. looks more to me like your proud of your work and the r&d you put in to make it the best you can. id be mad as hell if someone was selling shit that didnt work as well as mine and telling everyone they were the best. anyway i will be calling after the last ride of this year to order a full kit for my 2012 grizzly 700 im not very happy with the 1.5 shim and epi gold spring and 29.5 outlaw 2s. needs more low end seems to me its really hard on the wet clutch now but its ok after about 6 to 8 mph

    • @WVHotRodRhino
      @WVHotRodRhino  6 років тому +1

      @@ethanray9123 it takes a lot to figure this stuff out and then the other companies copy you and try to claim they did it so I put these videos out there just like you said to show the hard work that we put into this to be the best... thanks for noticing.. just let me know when you're ready and we'll get you fixed up with a quality product
