at least he got a 2k heal out of it due to aquila favonia's ability to negate any damage and heal them based off their attack while sending enemies flying. such an op weapon for no reason
@imbored093 aquila favonia has the ability to knock enemies back when hit and deals damage while healing you. It happens once every 15 seconds I think. The damage and healing is based off of your characters damage

that being said i used to play souls born games (namely sekiro, which needs very precise inputs in order to not take damage) so dodging in genshin feels almost trivial to me tbh

this is probably why we arent allowed to switch characters while falling, jumping, and gliding
I dont think It would change anything, if characters can be swapped while in motion, if anything it would make combat more flexible if we could swap characters whils jumping and sprinting and attacking. I guarentee more people would enjoy the game that way if they gave us free swapping mechanics that would let us do crazy devil may cry shit.

@@Gorjak13 very technical, cause i think they all have different fall animations, weapon and character size, it would probably take way lot more time to develop and clear the bugs. just imagine gliding using Xiao and Kazuha while keep swapping between the 2, poggers

@@richard35791 I dont think it would be complicated, you can already cancel normal and charged attacks by swapping but swapping characters have a cool down. Swapping characters while moving shouldn't be to difficult. Just have the next character you are swapping into to continue the animation instead of canceling
Explanation. The game engine saves physics by character, including whatever momentum that char has. Switching cuts off the animation, and switching back recalls the original momentum.

@@koharumi1 it's in storm terrors liar. They dont spawn if you fly down from the upper ramp. You need to walk on the lower ramp and then the circles will spawn and take you to the upper ramp.

This happens to me so rarely, I wasn't sure what was going on until you show it. Now I understand why I accidentally died from sliding off the edge when switching characters.
That happens to me too. But it's pretty hard for me to control it because I'm on potato mobile :(

More players leads to more bugs found.
That and CN/JP are more competitive gamers so a game like genshin leads to trying to break the game as much as possible without 3rd party software/hacks

This is due to the memory system where the game remembers the condition of a character with non-transferring effects, either affected by an element or in this case, inertia

It’s not lag the game stores the momentum of the character when you switch to another and when you switch back you still has that momentum value thus pushing that character

I think it is called bug. Lags happen when your internet works bad while bugs are a kind of app "errors".

I sometimes slide after switching character, I assumed it was just weird desync, but I'm thinking it somehow saved the momentum from before switching now. Thing is, I'm pretty sure it happens without the rings, so I wonder what it could be. I often switch and then sprint forward, but my character sprints and speeds up at an angle instead, while the animation keeps going straight. The next detail I'm not sure about, but I also seem to remember it happening in co-op, without switching characters.
I think the place it has happened most is when teleporting to Mondstadt, where I then immediately switch off Mona or Ayaka so another character can sprint jump over the railing. It might be more likely after teleporting, as this doesn't seem to happen anywhere near as often when doing the same thing traversing other terrain. Iirc the time it happened in co-op was just after starting a domain, so perhaps it happens more in freshly or not entirely loaded areas.
The slide happened to me today when I went to talk to Liyue Katherine to collect dailies. The traveler just slid off frame since it forces the switch. So I guess whatever character I had was collecting the momentum from somewhere (maybe from jumping up the stairs?)
