I have a question about the sanding, do you do that with all resin work? I’m fixing to start my first one and I’m starting small before I do my main one so I just want to make sure I’m doing everything right. Any advice would be very helpful, thank you.
@@Dragionex29 Yes, do that with all resin work :) goodluck to you
@@Dragionex29 There are many ways to polish the Resin surface, I do most often use sandpaper and make like this video
For all who want to try epoxy at home:
Please be generous with the super glue. You do not want to wait days in hopes you can peel it off of the ground. Also make sure not to stir your resin too hard to prevent bubbles and make sure there's a decent temperature. At room temperature or a bit above (I recommend a short water bath) the resin becomes more fluid and will let bubbles out more easily. Also before you pour I'd recommend to quickly use a lighter on the surface to pop existing bubbles. Most resins give you more than enough time after mixing so take a breather. Also don't be too hasty to release it from the mold. It might look strong enough or the surface is touchable but even slight pressure can still curve or dent your piece. Try to make a bit of a sealed part because it dusts like hell when sanded, a drop of water prevents that a bit.
And for the love of god please wear face protection if you sand it. It's horrible to breathe in and your piece is not worth your health.
Thank you for these informations. I want to start the resin art is there any source for me to use for beginning like your advices ?
Love the homemade vacuum machine. Really took out all those bubbles
Wish you talked and explained what tools you used, where you bought them, how you’re using them and explained everything step by step, with words, too
Thanks for your suggestion 😃
sander... drill with mixer attachment tool and the first she was using liquid tape ... and a mold
@@emilyscott1372 but whats the pressure thing & whats it used for please?
@@BigPackMaC it’s a vacuum chamber/pressure pot, and is used to take the bubbles out of the epoxy before it’s poured (in this instance)
@@TheGr8Cahooty thank you :)
For some weird reason I like watching resin videos
It was really mesmerizing 😍I like too
This one is really, really, really, really beautiful.
Thank you very much, your comments helped me try harder in the next videos 😀
So pretty! Though one thing that would be really cool for the lamp ones would be if they could get showed in the dark as well. They look so awesome in the light it just makes me wanna see them lighting up a dark room! 🙂
😍 Yes, I really like this purple color, it's mesmerizing
We deserve to see that lit in the dark. Its beautiful.
Sorry for the late reply, in the dark it was beautiful, thank you so much
I've thought bout trying Resin as a craft but I live in an apartment, right now and figure there is a lot of safety to consider. Stuff like you make is so beautiful, I hope I have the chance to try making something, someday.
Thank you so much, try shaking hands from small objects and wish you success 🤗😍😃
Resin art most difficults are needs a lot of tools, nice work
😃 Thanks
Incredible video. This is exactly what a beginner like me was looking for. A whole project being built from start to finish with excellent detail. Thank you so much.
Thank you very much, if you need anything just ask me, I'm ready to help
There are lots of things to improve on, for one epoxy coat the wood first stops all the bubbles from the wood and gives a much more professional finish.

You should pour in layers because even after vacuum sealing to remove bubbles you ended up with cracks and bubbles in the epoxy, just be more patient and pour it in several layers to be on the safe side.
Thank you for comment 😀🙏
It’s incredible how you made this perfect finish without covering one side with a tape while you making finish on another one! I always get smudges and some empty “puddles” even when the layers seems perfect at the beginning 😮
Thank you for your feedback, I have to try a lot harder to make the product better and better
I wish you would explain each step verbally.
Ditto! Because I think he missed the step that didn’t show where he sealed the word with the black what is this still the word with???
Good job. It would have been nice at the end to show what it looks like in the dark.
thank you for comment 😀🤗😁
Aah … what a sense of peace🍃🍃🎍
Beautiful. Thank you
Thank you very much 😀
Looks fantastic! I think the bubbles, especially when lit, gives it a nice touch of character.
nice job but i see its got tons of air bubbles . if i may suggest , i would suggest you do slow pours . by that i mean do about 1/8" at a time . let it settle for 20 to 30 minutes then repeat until you reach your desired amount you need . i do not suggest you doing full pours all at once . that's where a lot of air bubbles is reintroduced back into the resin . also putting your resin in extremely hot water for a bit also help to get the bubbles out . i hope these suggestions help
Thank you very much for your comment, you are very much experienced
Looks nice. I also spotted a fracture in the resin. it is about midpoint up the long side. Part of it is from a point in the wood.
Thank you so much 😍🤗😁

Really beautiful lamp and looks achievable for someone who is a little inexperienced to do.
Yes, I have only worked for 6 months
Remarkably beautiful - right down to the colors/hues used ... I LOVE it!
😃😍😁🤗 Thank you very much
@@DiyResinArt Looks like amethyst! ♥ Thanks for sharing
So very nice, applause. Today I had an idea: make Christmas decorations with this concept. Why? Holiday decorations sometime look tacky(ugly) during the day- yet at night- the lights within the decoration bring life/beauty. Something like this would contribute to both day + night time appeal.
I cant mentally process how beautiful this is
Thank you so much 😁😍🤗😀
This is like the show I watched where they said "The whole galaxy is now on your hands" its so beautiful 👌👌

This looks pretty good but you really have to tell us how to find wood pieces like yours!
This's Pearl Grinding wooden, I don't know where in your country there is it, you can ask the wood mill😁😅
u can get it in the aquascape store
Its burl wood. You can get it from wood mills

Some artists post links to where they get their supplies to make a project like this. I am particularly interested in the USB lighting. Is it USB, Amazon etc ?? BTW , i love your work :)
Thank you for your opinion 😁🤗 Yes, it's USB lighting

Great lamp you got there.
A small question just if I can ask it ..!
Where do you buy this type of led light from.
I really liked the design.
Thanks you :D I use the led light in the USB led Bulb
Good Job 👍
I never would have thought of using popsicle sticks to mix the resin. That is genius. This was a really cool project! Now I know what to do with all that root wood laying around my backyard.
Thank you! Cheers! Please make great products 😁🤗😍
Awesome job. This looks super pretty. One question I got though, what type of material you used to make the mold for the resin? Thank you.
I bought the Formex and stuck my logo decal on 😁😃 You can do it 😃 sorry for replying you late
Very good, amazing
🇧🇷🌍🏁
Thank you very much😃
Where do you get the led lights to use for these. I’ve been trying to do research but no video goes into detail about the lights and I’m not sure where to start with those.
I took them in a 5v USB led bulb 😀
Cantik sekali 👍

Hi its very pretty , what is the white material you used to mould the resin called .
Wow, what an amazing item you've made, beautiful
Thank you very much 🥰
I'm no expert but it looks like the resin is getting too hot during curing and causing those big bubbly imperfections. Unless you are using a deep pour type resin you should try these bigger ones in stages, like 3 separate pours. Still looks good but if it was me that would really bug me.
Yes, I see what you mean, I'm trying to fix that, and haven't found the right Epoxy yet
@@DiyResinArt You may have to pour in smaller amounts- most epoxy manufacturers will tell you the maximum height for the pour . For example FlowCast recommends pouring only to a maximum depth 1-1/2" at a time.
You're learning and sharing your journey, thank you. Look for a "deep pour resin"- the setting time may take longer, but you will love the results with your projects.
Until then , keep using the resin you have but do multiple pours- your outcomes will be amazing.
What type of would is that you are using in your videos?
I would like to find some local to Canada.
Current Electrical when you do multiple pours, do you let it set? Or pour some, get rid of bubbles, pour some more, etc?
@@SmileSoSmall I let is gel then pour the next layer to avoid the sight lines.
Yourself? :D
Current Electrical so far I only did small projects where I didn’t need to worry about multiple pours 😅

Thank you so much for liking my videos 😀😍 hello my new friend
dear sir hope you are fine kindly we need to know the name of the epoxy material you use to make this amazing design
Sorry for the late reply, I purchased Epoxy from a local, not international company, thank you 😃
Very nice!
But that glossy powder seems like bubbles you were trying to remove with vacuum
Thank you so much
Hey can you wrtite down the materials you used? It would be a huge help
Well I will note this 😀 thank you so much

I’m losing my mind over this. What is the foam sheet you used for the mold called? It has a plastic layer so it doesn’t stick correct?
Yes, it is Formex, I covered with a thin layer of plastic 😃 thank you so much
What a beautiful design! A work of art!
😃 Thank you so much & Merry Christmas 😍
@@DiyResinArt Thank you - Merry Christmas to you too 🎄
You keep using the wrong resin to pour that deep and its heating up to much and causing cracks and bubbles.
Need to pour in 3 layers with that resin or get a thick pour resin with better exothermic properties
Yes, I'm looking for that Epoxy, the place I live in doesn't sell 😅
What train is suggested
@@DiyResinArt You should be able to get a river table resin delivered anywhere you live. You could ask AA composites in Australia as they manufacture it
There is a fracture in the resin. It is about mid-point. And the way the lamp sits. It is about at the half way mark.
Yes it’s beautiful. It why don’t you use a silicon mould.
Thanks for your suggestion, I don't have that size mold ^^!
This is amazing :) !!!
Thank you so much 🥰
Hi, super,
Thank you very much 😍😀
Damn! I want it! 😍❤️
😍🤗😁 Thanks
It’s really really easy to make at home
😍 Once you get used to it you will find it really easy, thanks
Wow! This is a really magnificent piece and I like how it ended up as a result. However, there are a few things I personally think could be improved.
1. At the end, the led component dispersed light in a circular pattern and due to the stone/rocks positioning, the light was too bright in one area and not in the other. I think if you use a LED light with one beam of light going through the middle, or an LED with slightly lower luminosity, the light will disperse more evenly throughout the piece.
2. Gloves my dood :(
3. Instead of propping the resin onto the base and gluing it down, I think you can find a thicker base and carve the shape of the resin prism and then glue it down. I don’t trust things that are glued because if they take too big a fall, they tend to snap off from each other and blargh, money spent. Maybe it might help with light distribution too since light has nowhere to go but up.
Overall, that’s it! You don’t have to take these things into consideration if my points are flawed or not possible. Good work! 👍
Best comment I've ever read, thank you so much my friends😍😍

That was pretty Brilliant 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
🤗 Thank you so much
HDPE sheet is a good product to make molds from. It allows for repeatable uses and breaks cleanly from the resin for minimal sanding.
Wow very nic artwork 🇮🇳🇮🇳
Awesose! But next time film the final product in the dark so we can better see it in action. All in all 10/10

😍 Thanks murali
I like that lamp i wish you where in my city i have a big project to make trying to figure out where to start where did you get ur resin board from
Thank you so much, i bought it on amazon
Wow great job
Thank you so much😍
Wow! it looks so easy and the lamp isn't scratched at all! to get all the bubbles out you need to heat it with a blow torch while the exopy sets. U should also wax the box where you placed the wood in. This prevents the epoxy from sticking to the sides! Could you please tell me what electrical pad you used and where you get them from. Very cool!
Thank you very much, the electrical pad I got in the 5v USB bulb 😁🤗
Hi, what do you mean by wax the box?
@@f_society9151 you apply clear wax to the perspex box with a cotton cloth or brush and it stops the resin from sticking so badly. The perspex is more easily removed
