advice to add a superthanks button :) i really enjoyed data relationships & pivot from data model. simply explained -so its easy to follow through, yet so powerful! plus , i bet it saves space in excel. the editing is beautiful
Thanks Tina. Your lovely comments mean so much more than the Superthanks. :) The Superthanks feature is not enabled for my channel. May be it will be added in coming months.
Thanks Chandoo! A great quick Pivot Table exercise to illustrate how to solve a common reporting requirement. Thanks also for providing the sample file to follow along.. much appreciated! Thumbs up!!
Great... I just got an idea that instead of creating calendar tabe we can add one more coloum and select our quarters start and end date manually enter the respective quater name and use it in pivot tabe... Thanks i learner that we can interconnect two different tabe which i believe we can do it on power query only...
Great video, thank you. How about creating a dynamic report showing the totals in this format: This Month, Last Month and this quarter, last quarter and this year, last year at all times without any extra steps. something like a dashboard which always only automatically calculates and shows above mentioned values?
Hello thank you for your tutorials. Suppose I have to invest certain sum of amount SIP and increase the amount quaterly, how I can auto calculate the amount that I will be investing for the year in excel?
Sir, Can we find some keywords in bank account statement together or we'll have to search for individual keyword? If it can be done, please make a video.
Thanks for the suggestion Diamond. While the dataset may refer to "sales" techniques can be applied to any dataset. I will test out a few different variations on my upcoming videos.
Which version of Excel are you using? The right click "Group" option is available since Excel 2007. If you have already added your data to the "data model", then you must use a calendar table to group as the "grouping" feature for dates is not available with data model pivots.
Hi Chandoo, greetings from a new subscriber. Would be possible to set financial quarters by intervals instead of the calendar table? I mean, instead of a long table with all the dates just four intervals?
You need calendar table (and most organizations maintain one in a database / warehouse). If you have start ranges, you can generate the calendar table with Power Query and use it in your reports.
Its is extremely clumsy, esp the second part. And is there a reason you only choose ONE year? You end up with Summary By year which you dont want if you are going to do any kind of data analysis, and if you remove the years - everthing is summarized by Q1 etc (that is all Q1's are combined).
At 1:40 I wondered what’s more for another 2 mins, turn out the relationship is magic. I love it. Thank you Chandoo!
