Great interview with Ron Mitchell from Global lithium Resources. He is cool , calm and collected in the midst of this lithium storm . A sensible and intelligent attitude moving forward with his project in WA.
Excllent exchange of opinions. Ron is always on point with his analysis, which is measured & realistic. Would have liked you guys to have delved more into grid storage. I firmly believe this segment will experience considerable growth this decade & most long term models on Li needed, do not incorporate this aspect. I envisage Tesla creating more Gigas just for battery storage in the next few years.
Howard thanks for your great efforts. In regards to CATL selling their Pilbara holdings, yes it may have been an indicator we all missed, but do not beat yourself up on this. CATL are now the biggest producer of batteries in the world and with BYD manufacture about 47% of the world market. You do not get to this level of manufacturing on hot air. CATL also need capital to growth. CATL have spent $440 million US on a new factory some 3 kilometres from the Tesla factory in Shanghai. At capacity this factory will create 70 Giga Watts of batteries. Enough to power 500,000 plus vehicles. CATL are building new batteries with LFP and Magnesium chemistry at lower cost and higher capacity. CATL are also building a new battery factory in Hungary, this also costs capital. They sold the shares to help get the capital they need for their development programme. CATL also have a Chemist that was presented with the highest award possible from the EU for this battery technology. See the Electric Viking for references. It’s all good my friend. Cheers.
Great presentation, thanks. As an aside, do you think the Chinese Lepidolite convertors have or will in time copy Lepidicos tech to reduce waste? Kind regards Tony
Pretty safe to say lithium is cooked. In over supply and will be for a long time since every man and his dog was looking for the shit and getting mines online. Lots of hopium is all i hear.

Another great discussion. We are just marking time but it’s good to hear players are still preparing

can you share some picks for getting positioned?
Thanks for yet another excellent video
Thanks
great episode
Thanks
Hi guys. Could you please - as a clarification - say "US Dollar" instead of just dollar when you discuss production costs?
Will try

Thanks. I don’t know the answer re: Lepidico
Good interview. Gen Z will care more about the environment but it’s still to early to tell if they will be willing to pay a premium.
Appreciate the comment

Appreciate the comment. Considering your certainty, why spend time listening to lithium content 😉
