Nice knives all are worth carrying I am 64 years old and am selling off most of my knife collection only keeping a few nice ones to use and not sit on shelves or boxes. Because I want to declutter my life of stuff and materialism and save money not add more debt it has become an addiction and hoarding to me. I like knives but there comes a time when you say do I need this or do I want this, And I have many so I must sell most of them off on ebay. I do enjoy watching your videos and others they are relaxing, and I do not need to pay for that it is free. Keep up the videos.
Very very cool. One of my hobbies is knot tying, and one of these would be used every day for me. It's usefull not only to untie, but also to tie the knot. And It's a great way to fuse the knife and knot hobby in a fisical object, indeed something nice that don't get much attention on the knife world.
They are Marlin Spikes. But they are typically used in Sailing, Marine usage and in the Navy for rope work. If you are a Boatswain without a Marlin Spike you are just a swabby.
Some really nice pieces. I have heard of these being called Marlin Spikes. They look like really good sized knives. Thanks for sharing and have a great blessed day.
Still have to get one of these for the collection, not a popular pattern but an interesting one for sure. At least the RR have a nice price, thanks for sharing them, Pete.
Marlin Spikes are pretty cool knives. They definitely are conversation starters....what is that thing? I have 2 RR's and just picked up a Marlin Spike for my Roxon multitool. All of the implements on it are interchangeable. The spike works great on paracord and is usefull for camping.
Yes sir Ken that spike is a wicked tool…… I think it’s a very useful tool I like them quite a bit…… I like all knives they all have a place😊stay Safe out there
Hey knife guy , I love these knives , have a couple they areWW2 examples. The smaller RR is a clone of those knives. I didn’t know they had all these, awesome.👨🏻⚖️🪖🪖

Those are beautiful knives, great to see in this modern world of rush, rush. Great blade shape. Many thanks for sharing.
Nice collection of rope knives Pete. They are a fun knife and one of the oldest patterns of folding knives, workhorses of the knife world.
