To make these earrings you will need -
    • 0.7mm wire (21g), 6 x 9" (23cm)
    • 0.315mm weaving wire (28g) 100cm (I wind mine onto a bobbin, but you can cut lengths as you go if you prefer)
    • 2 x small cabochons, mine are 15mm by 8mm (you can use a different size, just remember to adjust wire length and weave repeats accordingly)
    • small beads, I've used 4 x 2.5mm and 2 x 3mm
    • Jump rings, 8mm outside measurement (or whatever size you have handy)
    • 2 x ear wires
I no longer put links to tools on here.
    The tools I use are:
    • Tronex needle nose pliers
    • Tronex short round nose pliers
    • Tronex razor flush cutters
    • Beadsmith flat nose nylon jaw pliers
    • Occasionally I use tronex bent nose pliers
    • Occasionally I use heavy-duty wire cutters
    • Occasionally I use xuron needle nose pliers
    • Bobeeze bobbins (medium size with no extra weights)

I absolutely love how close you get your video when you are weaving. I struggle s much with weaving, but I think I will give it another try now. Thank you! ❤️

Love the design! Really love watching your videos & all your new creations. Question, you reversed everything for L/R earrings, but both were the same up to the point of the lovely wire twists. Wouldn’t it be correct to reverse the bends to hold cab in place? When you check your work, that kinda caught my attention. Still lovely design, just wondered why you didn’t start the mirror process earlier. 🤗

Yes absolutely. I didn't intend to do them as mirror images of each other. I was just going to do them the same. Capture the stone, then curl up the bail with beads. But when I added the beads to the one side I then thought it would be nice to add them to the other side of the other one, so I changed it 😅.

Don’t think you understood what/where I was referring (oxidized pic shows both secured the same? Or, did you change for un videoed set?)

    • @KellyJonesJewellery
      @KellyJonesJewellery  Рік тому +1

I only changed the top part in the video. I didn't re-wrap the stone. So they are only reversed from where I changed it at the top. The oxidised pics are of the ones I made in the video.
