Miami do play better with 4 in the back now that they have right back again. But this game was hardly representative as Miami were without their 3 top central defenders and playing against the worst attack in MLS.

Miami's problem is not just that they are missing Messi, but also both Kristov and Freire in defense, as well as Redondo in midfield. In this game they had to play Busquets as a central defender because they didn't have anybody else. They are going up against Monterrey with a severely weakened squad all across the field.
Messi will play against Montrrey. He is resting and missing MLS matches for gettibg ready and available for the QFs against Montrrey.

Busquets was always slow, and centerback is not his natural position, so he's probably not very used to that position and role. And Busquets was never much of a physical player, so it's a very different role for him.

Suarez is a beast and the NYC FC Goalkepper did pretywell!
Both NYCFC and Miami had so many chances, it was so sad to see neither of them converting many. As a NYCFC fan...both Santi and Monsef had GOLDEN chances they didn't finish -- and they didn't seem like particularly difficult finishes either. Big kudos to Freese for keeping Suarez out of goal for the most past -- the defense totally broke down way too many times, and Suarez could've had at least two or three more if it wasn't for Matt.
Bakrar has been a major disappointment and not just in this game. He seems completely incapable of scoring goals no matter how easy the chance. They ought to give this kid Martinez more playing time. He was their most dangerous attacker in this game.
