      This might be the dumbest guest ever:
      1) the top 3 poverty causes haven't changed- ever. Stop trying to make the country pay for the ease with which you spread your legs. Blacks chose this bc of Democrats, it has nothing to do with The System.
      2) she missed the opportunity to bring up Crony Capitalism because she was only taught to claim Muh Capitalism sucks. Real Conservatives can't stand Govt intervention.
      3) living in Brooklyn is a choice. You live there and happily give up your paychecks because living with the working class whites wouldn't be woke enough.

    The PBD podcast is gaining significant momentum IMO. I’m intermittently stopping myself watching Jordan P. Joe R. and Russell B. just to check his content. Thank you, and your crew for providing excellent content to us. Also, thank you for illuminating the pride that modern America seems to possess when it comes to defending its “laziness” as an untreatable condition with no hope for a cure. I promise you, that rant you had will change someone’s life.
    This is my first UA-cam comment I’ve ever submitted. I’ve been watching UA-cam well over 15 years lol. I hope that fact adds value to this comment :)

    I thought about this for a few minutes and here's what's true. Essentially, 50% of the US population voted for Trump last election and those people haven't changed their minds. But a good amount of people who voted for Biden are now wishing Trump was back in office, despite what mainstream media continues to highlight.

    • @rasputin5746
      @rasputin5746 Рік тому +1

      I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this-who will count the votes, and how.
      said in 1923; Boris Bazhanov The Memoirs of Stalin's Former Secretary (1992); see Stoppard
      This is why the liberals don't care about Bidens popularity. They will just fix the election anyway.

    Patrick made an excellent point early in this podcast. People who watch all the Netflix shows, the reality shows, the talent shows etc. and do not expand their knowledge base ,work on their skills, and work hard as Hell will not get ahead in life. And sadly they won’t even realize that they were the ones who determined that.

    Love your story Patrick. I had to stop at 12:20 to comment. You are spot on with lazy in relation to politics. I too watched every Laker game back in the 80's and 90's. I stopped after awhile and took more interest in current events and politics. The electorate must research before they vote. It's very easy to do in 2022. Politicians are not being held accountable. The saying, "If you don't take an interest in politics, politics will take an interest in you" is so very true.

    Pat is missing it. He is an outlier, just because he wasn’t “book smart” in school doesn’t mean he’s not smart. He wasn’t disciplined is all. His friend he used in example, had help with helping father driving trucks, which doesn’t pay minimum wage. Most people are struggling and it’s not laziness. Some people are limited in what their ability is. There are numerous factors that contribute to people struggling living check to check and not able to get out of hole. So it’s bit condescending for Pat to act like, look at me I did it u can too.

      They started out talking about ignorance of what goes on in government and politics and how it affects us all despite our knowledge or lack there of in what goes on. This has zero to do with how much a person works or how much they make to do the job.
      It is mental laziness he is speaking about. Not checking the “facts” because it is easier to accept the reality given by media ( or anyone else for that matter ) The topic shifted course when the guest speaks about living paycheck to paycheck and questions the host how he made it to where he is.
      Also Pat believes in the power of the hustle. Most wealthy people do. They are always thinking about how to turn a profit. They are almost never idol. Failure is seen as step toward growth and progress. This is why the majority of people will always remain where they are regardless of if they work their ass of in the job they have. Their commitment to success is generally limited to a 9 to 5 job and that’s where it ends
