Kudos, I enjoyed your vid. I'd like to expand the local coop a bit if you dont mind. My best friend and his misses are streamers. Having local coop is important to them so they opt to build a PC to specialize that feature by creating virtual OS within a one hardware. They basically have two monitors but plugged into one PC. They often play together and have the ability to mirror the monitor for true local coop option or online coop.

About 4 years ago when I was using my PS3 much more actively, I was always frustrated with how slow the non-gaming features were. 4 years later here I am on my PC, and hot damn, non-gaming features are superior in terms of functionality and speed. Yes, but most AAA games are more likely to receive local multiplayer on consoles, and I assume that list doesn't include Xbox 360/Xbox Classic games that work on the Xbox One. Then again, PC makes up for this by having free online multiplayer, support for LAN multiplayer, and much cheaper controllers for those situations when it does have local multiplayer.

Consoles are a cheaper path then PC. Ask anyone who as actually CREATED a build will tell you, it's an investment. At that point it would be considered real "hobby" though. (not that you got to spend hundreds to have a hobby buuuuttt). If you don't have a big income dropping a couple hundreds more at once on a PC is extremely inconvenient. I mean my video I just posted. Yes PC is better than Console in virtually every way but the determining factor for a lot of people is price and/or convenience. And that's just it. Consoles operates on fees more specifically licensing. Every hardware and software you buy from them including services are premium that console gamers are willing to pay for. Developers also are hit with this which ultimately charges consumers for upkeep. You can dismiss it as "hilarious" on your part all you want. That is what 1st party company wants from you.

Since i started using my laptop for gaming, i have seen the merits of Pc gaming and the advantages will only increase when i have the space and funds for a desktop pc. Pc gaming is superior to console gaming in every way. To deny this is to be blind to the truth. I honestly think the future of gaming is with the PC

I know i'm late to this video but i'd like to add to the conversation about the couch co-op argument he tries to make, because PC players sure as hell can still achieve it! I've never been to a LAN party per se but i've invited my friend around to play League of Legends (he's on laptop, i'm on desktop) and because i own 3 monitors we hooked up two xbox one controllers, set 2 of my 3 monitors to 3840x1080 and played some Rocket League in split-screen mode while both using separate monitors, so not only can PC local co-op be achieved but with multiple monitors and vertical split-screen it beats console split-screen.
With the Netflix stuff, You can just...you know use a $58 chromecast and just use chrome on your Desktop or Laptop and just well cast netflix, stan, presto, etc... to your TV, or if you splashed out on a smart TV they often have those services built in, making the whole console entertainment services stuff redundant, and using something like Plex media server you can copy down your DVD and Bluray library to your PC and now you don't have to deal with putting disks into a player, just operate it all from your PC(this also includes all those that have an Apple PC) or your Phone.

Also using COD as an example was a bad choice of his. Talk to anyone who works at cable company or ISP and they will tell you that COD is particularly notorious for the multiplayer not working on consoles out of the box for release week; console players were adamant that the issue had to be with their internet provider when the game either needed patched or the PSN/XBox networks could not handle the player load.
Omfg i just had an unreal tournament lan party yesterday. UT4 and 99, as well as Open arena, shareware quake, and halo CE trial.... oh and counterstrike condition zero. Legit december 2nd was the highlight of this year for me and my friends.
I remember back in Year 10 and Year 11, we played Unreal Tournament in our IT classes so Couch-Coop isn't that important anymore considering that developers feel it is more beneficial to remove split-screen for better immersive experience
I have played 4 player split screen at my friends house on PC ( 1 KB/M and 3 sets of controllers ) with some kind of bike racing game with weapons and health and lots of enemies. I don't remember the name of the game, but it was fun as hell and quite recent. My friend has a lot of those games and I'm gonna get if for my PC as well as soon as I build it. He has his computer hooked up to a TV and it's nice for single player, but laggy as hell for multiplayer with insane input lag.
On his fourth point, all your friends under one service is not even an upside. Services like Discord allow you to invite friends to a game of which you don't even have them as your friend.
This is coming from a mostly console gamer, I can easily see that PC gaming is pretty much the superior gaming platform, the only advantage I can still see in consoles is their exclusive IP's and now even that is dying out with all upcoming Microsoft IP's will be available on Windows 10 PC. This is probably the last gen I'm playing on consoles.

I play both my PC and and my PS3, I like them both. But Fringy is right, and that guy says you can't get to together with you're friends and play you're games with them on a PC is funny, because he must have not heard of laptops, lol. I sometime go to my friend's house with my laptop and I set up in his computer room and we play World of Warcraft together (in the same room at that) and we have been doing this for years. There is up's and down's with both PC gaming and Gaming Consoles.
I think Console and PC are their own thing, there is no comparison. My main platform is PC, but I occasionally use my XBox One for Netflix and sometimes Halo. I personally think PC is more fun though, for some reason it feels really awkward to hold a controller.
Fringy Hey there fringy, love your videos and I'm glad to see you make some new uploads. Overall, I agree with the points you're making in the video, although, I did see what he was trying to say with his first point. Not everyone is that great technology, especially with computers, so it makes sense that someone would want a console for simple plug and play. Not everyone is tech savvy enough to understand exactly what hardware they have and what is needed for the game to perform well and look fairly decent. Regardless, it all just comes down to preference on what you like to play more, although, PC Gaming is hands down the best possible experience you can get.
I'm mainly a PC gamer, but also game on consoles for exclusives and other reasons, and I kind of agree that getting started from the beginning of building a mid-tier solid PC is more expensive than going out and buying a console. Especially if the latest Gen consoles have already been out for awhile and have gone down in price or on sale. However, in the long run PC gaming is so much cheaper when it comes to the cost of games. Plus, you really need some sort of computer in this day and age already, so investing in a solid gaming PC is investing in a hobby you love and also investing in a commodity you need for work, school, and/or other things. Most people who are console gamers have at least one console and a few hundred dollar (at least) PC or laptop for work and/or school. If they combined the cost of both those things they could've built a really good gaming PC or gaming laptop.
The Larian Divinity games were split screen co-op on PS4 (also on PC, sure), but at least a couple of games still supported co-op! I wish more games were local co-op... but hey, Steam is making that a bigger possibility with it's Remote Play support. OH MY, that's not on console!
The one thing that all of the youtuber's that I have seen of this genre fail to mention regarding PC cost is the fact that you don't have to buy the PC all at once. You can buy it one part at a time. It's also funny that all these console fanboy channels bring up cost when they have a console and a PC to edit there videos. You can get a pretty good PC for the amount of money that those are worth combined.
The thing about console is that it's comfortable, you have to be sitting on your chair and playing through buttons on a flat surface (keyboard) when you can play through your controller which is specifically made to be comfortable, so it's about comfort if you ask me
Great video Fringy. I don't get the people that think you have to spend 1000's of dollars to play games on PC. When my old PC died I bought a new one (prebuilt) for about $300 on clearance. I spent about another $150 to put a GTX 750 ti SC with 2gb of vram and upgraded the power supply. It has handled any game I have wanted to play this gen like MGSV, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Witcher 3 just fine.
I feel like the benefit of using those streaming services Netflix, Hulu, etc should not be overlooked. Using those services on my PC allows me to play a game on one monitor while watching Netflix on the other monitor. I'm not limited to one action at a time like the console.
I just want to point out that a lot of newer PCs(such as my mom's as I found out when helping her with technical support) don't have an HDMI built into them. Although thankfully this doesn't make your argument invalid completely, as most TV's(such as the one in front of me) are capable of using a standard PC monitor cable(I don't know for the life of me what they're called though, I think it's DVI or something) and if you don't like that, well there are special cards for your PC that can let you output to DVI, it's smaller blue counterpart, or HDMI.
Carter Sims there is honestly NO new gpu without an hdmi port. That pc probabaly has an old gpu like an ati hd5450 or has an old mobo and processor ( like the Intel DB7EN MOBO and a 2nd/3rd gen intel processor
13:30 splitscreen on PC is leagues better than console in the fact that each player can have their own screen. PC supports this with every game as long as you have 2 accounts with 2 copies of the game and an application that changes how games read controllers so the game doesn't pick up the other player's controller. (can't remember what the application was called though)

First point. i think he's referring to framerates. like if your PC is relatively old (like Core 2 Duo or P4 era), it won't run BF1 as well as say, a $2300 PC built this year with two 1070s and an i7-5820K.

My friend has 600 dollar ish pc, with a ryzen 5, 1050ti, an ssd, 8 gb of ddr4, and your run of the mill AM4 gigabyte motherboard, and a 30 dollar case. It runs all games that are on consoles, save exclusives, at 1080p 60fps solid, upscaled to 1440p on high settings. His xbox one ran darksouls 3 at 30 frames and below and didnt look nearly as good. Did i mention he had the freedom to use Discord on the pc? I cant make the budget argument on my end because i have 1300 dollars invested in mine.
If you are a PC Gamer 9/10 times you will be upgrading hardware every year or two. This means you will be able to run every game that comes out in that life span. Saying "You don't know if the game will run great on your PC" is extremely untrue seeing as that's why we continue to upgrade our systems - fucking hell.

Kill me. its been three years and theres a ps4 pro....meaning the original is obsolete...pcs in the long run are cheaper if you're semi-decent at math eg. 5x12=60 now in three years the ps4 became obsolete so 3x60=$180. Now with 180 you can easily buy a gtx 1050 and have $30 leftover to buy overwatch on G2A. The PS4 had dated (older) hardware when it released 3 years ago...Gamers are starting to jump ship (including myself) to PC gaming because of the benefits such as cheaper games and the fact I don't have to pay to play online so Sony released a more powerful PS4 for those who care about graphics...Even so its still underpowered and was rushed to market to get those who want to play in 4k even tho its upscaled....I may should like a PC elitest but I've owned a console all my life. PSX,PS2,PS3,Wii,3xDS,2xPSP and a PS4 that i sold to get a 800 gaming laptop for both gaming and school work...the pros for PC gaming far outweighs the cons so i bought my pc. +Maize Rhythm I have an i3-6100 and it works absolute wonders for me, I will upgrade it in about a year to an i5 but for now it's easily pushing hard on games. I can run bf1 better than any console, I have over $2000 in games and only payed about $300 for them. My PC itself cost me $750 and with all that combined it still wins in the long run for cost to what you get compared to a console. I really need to get more storage as my hard drive is almost full (nearly 2 Tb of games) but that's an issue that appears on everything. In the long run I've saved more for my PC then if I had bought a console. Plus even if I had bought a console I have no hdmi compatible TV's in my house so I'd have to go spend at least another $200 on a tv (I'd only ever buy a new tv) to use a console, while I picked up the barely 1 month old when I got it monitor I have for $30 from some guy that lives near me.

Only argument i can see for consoles is the fact that they're more readily available and optimized for gaming than pcs are for the average person in the short term, and can be bought for cheaper than the average modern gaming pc is, plus you avoid all the variables owning/ maintaining a pc could bring about other than that, everything just boils down to either personal preference/anecdotal evidence or lack of knowledge about both platforms compared to each other in terms of their individual strengths/weaknesses
Don't get me wrong, I definitely prefer PC gaming to console gaming, even though i'm only recently getting into PCs. But for people who may be daunted by the thought of the implied complexity of a PC over a console, consoles are usually more appealing to them, simply because they can appear more straight forward
I can think of more. 1. System requirements. Not all games on PC can be run on every PC. You can't bring a GTX 470 to the Witcher 3 and expect it to work. When you buy games on a console you don't need to know what hardware you have or look up what hardware that is needed, some people are not tech savy enough to even know what hardware is in a PC so that helps out a lot. 2. Local MP. When was the last time you hooked up your PC to a TV and played some MP with your friends when they was in your home? To say there is no benefits to consoles over PC's is retarded, and these was just some I picked from the top of my head.
You can't play splitscreen online multiplayer on BO3 (and probably more games, but I'm uncertain) unless the second player is logged in to an account that already has Playstation Plus or XBox Live. It's fucked.
There are only two reasons why I prefer consoles over PC. One - Since I only play PS2 and occasionally X-Box original, it takes less time to turn them on and play vs. PC. Two, I am a light gamer, so giving a shit enough to care is not worth hundreds of dollars to buy, upgrade, and repair a computer, as well as new games vs. my old consoles. That said, if I want to get into newer systems and games, I have yet to see/hear a reason to stick with consoles as PCs appear to have every advantage imaginable.
500 to 600 dollars for a PC is a good investment that should last you quite a while and if you're only playing PS2 games get a DVD drive, PS2 emulator, and USB controller and it should all work on very cheap hardware

the cost of a good pc in sweden is like 800USD or more but u can still get a desent for like 600 but the freedom u get on a pc over a console is 40x better and all the other games like moba, tactic and simulators makes it fucking great (1600USD spent on this pc i now have dont regret one single dollar of it)

You can play PC games on your TV with an Xbox One controller. Hook up your PC to your TV via HDMI, get your wireless Xbox One controller, and now you've completely erased the reasons you've provided for playing on consoles. Kudos, I enjoyed your vid. I'd like to expand the local coop a bit if you dont mind. My best friend and his misses are streamers. Having local coop is important to them so they opt to build a PC to specialize that feature by creating virtual OS within a one hardware. They basically have two monitors but plugged into one PC. They often play together and have the ability to mirror the monitor for true local coop option or online coop.

Kerbal Space Program, Cities Skylines, Civilization, Skyrim with mods, Arma, The Forest, Super amazing Wagon Adventure, Star Citizen, Eve Online, BF3 64 player, Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod... I played on consoles most of my life and switched about three years ago. Trust me. There are far more amazing games on PC. There is just so many that even if you only like 10-15% of them, you still have more.

Been having audio issues. Namely, Audacity had been recording audio through my headset microphone instead of my XLR microphone. It should be sounding much better in the next video, particularly thanks to the acoustic foam I've integrated into my set-up.

Yes, but most AAA games are more likely to receive local multiplayer on consoles, and I assume that list doesn't include Xbox 360/Xbox Classic games that work on the Xbox One. Then again, PC makes up for this by having free online multiplayer, support for LAN multiplayer, and much cheaper controllers for those situations when it does have local multiplayer.

I've ordered my first build and waiting on my bits. it's was really daunting with all the bits making sure they are compatible. I know there are many services that help but it was a huge task etc. consoles are less intimidating etc.

Consoles are a cheaper path then PC. Ask anyone who as actually CREATED a build will tell you, it's an investment. At that point it would be considered real "hobby" though. (not that you got to spend hundreds to have a hobby buuuuttt). If you don't have a big income dropping a couple hundreds more at once on a PC is extremely inconvenient. I mean my video I just posted. Yes PC is better than Console in virtually every way but the determining factor for a lot of people is price and/or convenience. Also that whole "subscription" thing for consoles PC Elitist try and bring up is the most hilarious thing I hear. If you cannot pay $60 a year for playing video games as a hobby of sort, you don't even need to be a gaming enthusiast.
And that's just it. Consoles operates on fees more specifically licensing. Every hardware and software you buy from them including services are premium that console gamers are willing to pay for. Developers also are hit with this which ultimately charges consumers for upkeep. You can dismiss it as "hilarious" on your part all you want. That is what 1st party company wants from you.

Why is it everytime someone posts one of those " consoles are better than PC" videos, they always use the same pointless arguments. Since i started using my laptop for gaming, i have seen the merits of Pc gaming and the advantages will only increase when i have the space and funds for a desktop pc.

I know i'm late to this video but i'd like to add to the conversation about the couch co-op argument he tries to make, because PC players sure as hell can still achieve it! I've never been to a LAN party per se but i've invited my friend around to play League of Legends (he's on laptop, i'm on desktop) and because i own 3 monitors we hooked up two xbox one controllers, set 2 of my 3 monitors to 3840x1080 and played some Rocket League in split-screen mode while both using separate monitors, so not only can PC local co-op be achieved but with multiple monitors and vertical split-screen it beats console split-screen.

With the Netflix stuff, You can just...you know use a $58 chromecast and just use chrome on your Desktop or Laptop and just well cast netflix, stan, presto, etc... to your TV, or if you splashed out on a smart TV they often have those services built in, making the whole console entertainment services stuff redundant, and using something like Plex media server you can copy down your DVD and Bluray library to your PC and now you don't have to deal with putting disks into a player, just operate it all from your PC(this also includes all those that have an Apple PC) or your Phone.

Talk to anyone who works at cable company or ISP and they will tell you that COD is particularly notorious for the multiplayer not working on consoles out of the box for release week; console players were adamant that the issue had to be with their internet provider when the game either needed patched or the PSN/XBox networks could not handle the player load.

I have played 4 player split screen at my friends house on PC ( 1 KB/M and 3 sets of controllers ) with some kind of bike racing game with weapons and health and lots of enemies. I don't remember the name of the game, but it was fun as hell and quite recent. My friend has a lot of those games and I'm gonna get if for my PC as well as soon as I build it. He has his computer hooked up to a TV and it's nice for single player, but laggy as hell for multiplayer with insane input lag.

On his fourth point, all your friends under one service is not even an upside. Services like Discord allow you to invite friends to a game of which you don't even have them as your friend.
This is coming from a mostly console gamer, I can easily see that PC gaming is pretty much the superior gaming platform, the only advantage I can still see in consoles is their exclusive IP's and now even that is dying out with all upcoming Microsoft IP's will be available on Windows 10 PC. This is probably the last gen I'm playing on consoles.

I sometime go to my friend's house with my laptop and I set up in his computer room and we play World of Warcraft together (in the same room at that) and we have been doing this for years. There is up's and down's with both PC gaming and Gaming Consoles.
I think Console and PC are their own thing, there is no comparison. My main platform is PC, but I occasionally use my XBox One for Netflix and sometimes Halo. I personally think PC is more fun though, for some reason it feels really awkward to hold a controller.

Overall, I agree with the points you're making in the video, although, I did see what he was trying to say with his first point. Not everyone is that great technology, especially with computers, so it makes sense that someone would want a console for simple plug and play.
Not everyone is tech savvy enough to understand exactly what hardware they have and what is needed for the game to perform well and look fairly decent. Regardless, it all just comes down to preference on what you like to play more, although, PC Gaming is hands down the best possible experience you can get.

I'm mainly a PC gamer, but also game on consoles for exclusives and other reasons, and I kind of agree that getting started from the beginning of building a mid-tier solid PC is more expensive than going out and buying a console. Especially if the latest Gen consoles have already been out for awhile and have gone down in price or on sale. However, in the long run PC gaming is so much cheaper when it comes to the cost of games. Plus, you really need some sort of computer in this day and age already, so investing in a solid gaming PC is investing in a hobby you love and also investing in a commodity you need for work, school, and/or other things. Most people who are console gamers have at least one console and a few hundred dollar (at least) PC or laptop for work and/or school. If they combined the cost of both those things they could've built a really good gaming PC or gaming laptop.
The Larian Divinity games were split screen co-op on PS4 (also on PC, sure), but at least a couple of games still supported co-op! I wish more games were local co-op... but hey, Steam is making that a bigger possibility with it's Remote Play support. OH MY, that's not on console!
The one thing that all of the youtuber's that I have seen of this genre fail to mention regarding PC cost is the fact that you don't have to buy the PC all at once. You can buy it one part at a time. It's also funny that all these console fanboy channels bring up cost when they have a console and a PC to edit there videos. You can get a pretty good PC for the amount of money that those are worth combined.
The thing about console is that it's comfortable, you have to be sitting on your chair and playing through buttons on a flat surface (keyboard) when you can play through your controller which is specifically made to be comfortable, so it's about comfort if you ask me
Great video Fringy. I don't get the people that think you have to spend 1000's of dollars to play games on PC. When my old PC died I bought a new one (prebuilt) for about $300 on clearance. I spent about another $150 to put a GTX 750 ti SC with 2gb of vram and upgraded the power supply. It has handled any game I have wanted to play this gen like MGSV, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Witcher 3 just fine.
I feel like the benefit of using those streaming services Netflix, Hulu, etc should not be overlooked. Using those services on my PC allows me to play a game on one monitor while watching Netflix on the other monitor. I'm not limited to one action at a time like the console.
I just want to point out that a lot of newer PCs(such as my mom's as I found out when helping her with technical support) don't have an HDMI built into them. Although thankfully this doesn't make your argument invalid completely, as most TV's(such as the one in front of me) are capable of using a standard PC monitor cable(I don't know for the life of me what they're called though, I think it's DVI or something) and if you don't like that, well there are special cards for your PC that can let you output to DVI, it's smaller blue counterpart, or HDMI.
Carter Sims there is honestly NO new gpu without an hdmi port. That pc probabaly has an old gpu like an ati hd5450 or has an old mobo and processor ( like the Intel DB7EN MOBO and a 2nd/3rd gen intel processor

13:30 splitscreen on PC is leagues better than console in the fact that each player can have their own screen. PC supports this with every game as long as you have 2 accounts with 2 copies of the game and an application that changes how games read controllers so the game doesn't pick up the other player's controller. (can't remember what the application was called though)
I love how he uses Castle Crashers as his local co-op example, when Castle Crashers is both availabl and local Co-Op capable On the PC as well... I'd love a link to the source video to let him know as much...

First point. i think he's referring to framerates. like if your PC is relatively old (like Core 2 Duo or P4 era), it won't run BF1 as well as say, a $2300 PC built this year with two 1070s and an i7-5820K.

My friend has 600 dollar ish pc, with a ryzen 5, 1050ti, an ssd, 8 gb of ddr4, and your run of the mill AM4 gigabyte motherboard, and a 30 dollar case. It runs all games that are on consoles, save exclusives, at 1080p 60fps solid, upscaled to 1440p on high settings. His xbox one ran darksouls 3 at 30 frames and below and didnt look nearly as good. Did i mention he had the freedom to use Discord on the pc?
I cant make the budget argument on my end because i have 1300 dollars invested in mine.

If you are a PC Gamer 9/10 times you will be upgrading hardware every year or two. This means you will be able to run every game that comes out in that life span. Saying "You don't know if the game will run great on your PC" is extremely untrue seeing as that's why we continue to upgrade our systems - fucking hell.
i didn't upgrade my Rig since 2011 (except for the GPU. Upgraded it in 2015) and i am still playing Battlefield 1 on Ultra.

Small correction: EA implemented their refund service after an EU regulation was passed to force companies to offer refunds on digital products. EA did it preemptively and Valve only did it after they were fined by the EU.
The only upside to consoles is the universal compatibility. And even then, most games have graphics options you can adjust depending on your specs.

-Idk the numbers for Xbox but i know for ps4, its 5 dollars per month, with A TON of sales, both with or without membership and 2 free games every month.

Kill me. its been three years and theres a ps4 pro....meaning the original is obsolete...pcs in the long run are cheaper if you're semi-decent at math eg. 5x12=60 now in three years the ps4 became obsolete so 3x60=$180. Now with 180 you can easily buy a gtx 1050 and have $30 leftover to buy overwatch on G2A. Oh wait free games...let me think TF2, Planetside 2, Warframe, Smite, Paladins, Paragon(I think its still in Beta but i believe its F2P). You said good looks depend on if you have a high end pc which false because you can alter budget however you want. Get an i3 and use the money to buy a good looking case or just buy a decent looking case then...sell it and buy another one. Ps4 Pro also doesnt play most games in 4k but they are upscaled meaning its streching the pixels across lowering the pixel density and also lowering fps which tbh makes no sense. Its really easy to get into PC gaming, you can build it, get it prebuilt, get a budget but upgradeable pc or a baller pc. Its all in your hands so PC in this respect is superior and really in all aspects are better...

The PS4 had dated (older) hardware when it released 3 years ago...Gamers are starting to jump ship (including myself) to PC gaming because of the benefits such as cheaper games and the fact I don't have to pay to play online so Sony released a more powerful PS4 for those who care about graphics...Even so its still underpowered and was rushed to market to get those who want to play in 4k even tho its upscaled....I may should like a PC elitest but I've owned a console all my life. PSX,PS2,PS3,Wii,3xDS,2xPSP and a PS4 that i sold to get a 800 gaming laptop for both gaming and school work...the pros for PC gaming far outweighs the cons so i bought my pc. So with all this said i decided to maybe not kms...
+Maize Rhythm I have an i3-6100 and it works absolute wonders for me, I will upgrade it in about a year to an i5 but for now it's easily pushing hard on games. I can run bf1 better than any console, I have over $2000 in games and only payed about $300 for them. My PC itself cost me $750 and with all that combined it still wins in the long run for cost to what you get compared to a console. I really need to get more storage as my hard drive is almost full (nearly 2 Tb of games) but that's an issue that appears on everything. In the long run I've saved more for my PC then if I had bought a console. Plus even if I had bought a console I have no hdmi compatible TV's in my house so I'd have to go spend at least another $200 on a tv (I'd only ever buy a new tv) to use a console, while I picked up the barely 1 month old when I got it monitor I have for $30 from some guy that lives near me.

How does it feel to be a PC Gaming:
Pros:

+ Steam sales, especially during Summer Sale or Christmas Sale
+ Controller or keyboard compatibility
+ No membership needed, just make an account
Cons:
- Expensive parts, such as RAM, GPU, CPU, and Motherboard
- Toxic community
- Hackers are hard to be detected when playing online
Only argument i can see for consoles is the fact that they're more readily available and optimized for gaming than pcs are for the average person in the short term, and can be bought for cheaper than the average modern gaming pc is, plus you avoid all the variables owning/ maintaining a pc could bring about
other than that, everything just boils down to either personal preference/anecdotal evidence or lack of knowledge about both platforms compared to each other in terms of their individual strengths/weaknesses
Don't get me wrong, I definitely prefer PC gaming to console gaming, even though i'm only recently getting into PCs. But for people who may be daunted by the thought of the implied complexity of a PC over a console, consoles are usually more appealing to them, simply because they can appear more straight forward
I can think of more.
1. System requirements. Not all games on PC can be run on every PC. You can't bring a GTX 470 to the Witcher 3 and expect it to work. When you buy games on a console you don't need to know what hardware you have or look up what hardware that is needed, some people are not tech savy enough to even know what hardware is in a PC so that helps out a lot.
2. Local MP. When was the last time you hooked up your PC to a TV and played some MP with your friends when they was in your home?
To say there is no benefits to consoles over PC's is retarded, and these was just some I picked from the top of my head.
Consoles are perfect for people who dont want to learn about PC gaming.

You can't play splitscreen online multiplayer on BO3 (and probably more games, but I'm uncertain) unless the second player is logged in to an account that already has Playstation Plus or XBox Live. It's fucked.

There are only two reasons why I prefer consoles over PC. One - Since I only play PS2 and occasionally X-Box original, it takes less time to turn them on and play vs. PC. Two, I am a light gamer, so giving a shit enough to care is not worth hundreds of dollars to buy, upgrade, and repair a computer, as well as new games vs. my old consoles. That said, if I want to get into newer systems and games, I have yet to see/hear a reason to stick with consoles as PCs appear to have every advantage imaginable.
500 to 600 dollars for a PC is a good investment that should last you quite a while and if you're only playing PS2 games get a DVD drive, PS2 emulator, and USB controller and it should all work on very cheap hardware

the cost of a good pc in sweden is like 800USD or more but u can still get a desent for like 600 but the freedom u get on a pc over a console is 40x better and all the other games like moba, tactic and simulators makes it fucking great (1600USD spent on this pc i now have dont regret one single dollar of it)
Origin does suck it crashes a lot and it updates frequently and i don't even know why i updated it.
Fringe, clearly PC is better in graphics and frame rate and other factors but I still choose to play on an Xbox 1 just because I enjoy it more than playing on PC, I find controller vibrations and a bigger screen more fulfilling to my gaming experience (I know a PC can have a large screen too but mostly a TV screen will be larger) but I just want to say please focus on destroying the cancerous movement known as feminism as it would be a much better contribution to the Internet on a whole. You can play PC games on your TV with an Xbox One controller. Hook up your PC to your TV via HDMI, get your wireless Xbox One controller, and now you've completely erased the reasons you've provided for playing on consoles.
