Delighted to listen to this magnificent ensemble of the choicest ghazals of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab ! What a great coincidence it is - so many gems in just one go !
The great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the synonyme of soft, soothing, and soulful music ! Professionalism, Perfection, and Sophistication in performance was the hallmark of the great Khan Saab ! His style of gayiki was pretty simple, soft, effortless, soothing and soulful but overbearing and very difficult to emulate ! Besides, the great Mehdi Hassan Saab had something divine in his voice, which had set him apart from his contemporaries and juniors ! He had given ghazal gayiki a pedestal, which will be very difficult to surpass ! Such a resourceful singer will ever tread this path again in the world !

The sequence of events in the History of Music will amply testify to this historical fact ! The illustrious career of the great Khan Saab spanning over almost six decades will speak volumes about his abilities - as a singer of exceptional merit ! Viewers hardly require any bidding, from any quarter,whatsoever, for this ; and the least, from a novice like this ! They are intelligent enough to draw their own inference/conclusion !
How right was John Fitzgerald Kennedy in his assessment in saying - "A man may die ; nations may rise and fall ; but an idea lives on !"
In this backdrop, the great Mehdi Hassan Saab hardly requires any certification/green signal/go ahead from any quarter, whatsoever, for moving forward !
No epithet is sufficient to describe this enormous talent ! The great Mehdi Hassan Saab was just 'INFALLIBLE' - as an exponent of ghazal gayiki - and as such, he was beyond the reach of us - 'FALLIBLES' ! Perhaps, a legend can truly realize the greatness of an another legend ! How right was the great Lataji in her assessment of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab in saying - "God resides in the voice of Mehdi Hassan Saab !"
Did the great Mehdi Hassan Saab require any other accolade about his singing attributes from any other quarter, whatsoever !
