Never done much rock climbing but I have climbed thousands of trees being an arborist. You could use a Blake's hitch of the working end of your figure of 8 on a bight instead of a munter hitch then you won't have to worry about it slipping and you can hang all day. I like your rope harness though, reminds me times I spent smashing all the wrong things using the Swiss seat method in the Corps. I like your videos, keep up the good work.
Hi Clarise. Greetings from Virginia, USA. Very nice work. A spare twelve feet of rope in your pack could give you a Swiss Seat in lieu of a spare/second (and expensive) climbing harness. 'Just a thought. Very well done presentation.
Hahaha! Nou lekker gelag! Glad the anchors held! Just discovered CityRock last weekend, visited them in JHB, awesome shop and playground! Still have to get into climbing a bit more. Thanks for the great content as usual. God bless. Happy Sabbath
Nelis! 🤗 Nice to hear from you. Hope you had a great climb and a blessed Sabbath. It's certainly great core work and worth getting into. Thanks for all your likes and comments! C
The finger rings are beautiful but are a bit of a risk for getting wedged in a crack & losing the finger or trapping you on the rock, just a thought. Great vid & stunning location, here in California it'd be a prehistoric site for sure. Cheers~
Hi Clarise, awesome video as always. This rope climbing is an area I am scared off. I love climbing and hiking but always now check before climbing. About 20 odd years ago I took on one of our granite mountains on our farm, with no ropes and gear. I have no idea how I made it alive, God saved me that day. As I grow up on a farm, I was a bit of a risk taker. From that day I am careful, and might conceder a climbing caurse, bu will take a bit of mental strengh. Keep up the good work. God bless. Hugo
Hi Hugo! It sounds like you had quite the adventure. It's always good to be weary when climbing, awareness of the danger is what keeps us from taking unnecessary risks. Glad to hear that you've had some climbing experience but I can certainly recommend a course for safety sake. C
Glad to see your channel growing.
Keep up the good work and share your experiences and knowledge.
Thanks so much!
Well done Clarise I would definately want to take a course before I doing any serious climbing.
Great idea! Definitely worth getting into🤗

Hi John, thanks for the suggestion. I think it's a great idea. A sling can also work and is quite lightweight. C
@@LiveReady Yes, a sling, absolutely. Cheers. 👍🍻
Very cool video. Thank you.

I never did any of that.
It's worth doing a course or joining a gym. Good exercise and skills all at once. C
