Completely agree. I am 20 hours in and enjoying it for what it is. A fun action adventure in the dragon age world. At times it does feel like you are forced to a story line approach, but overall it is fun. You can mix it up by doing a companion quest. Some also have random quests mixed in the same areas. For me it is worth the investment and the time. One technical thing I must mention is the varience in frame rate. I am geting 20fps to 120 fps on ultra with ray tracing maxed depending on the area. But it is stunningly beautiful at times! Enjoy 🎉
See, the problem with the internet is that they have to find every little bit to pick at when they don't like the "direction" of where it was going. With that, they harp on decisions they don't agree with, their "disappointment", and then destroy anyone that says otherwise. The simple question, without worrying about "politics" or "leftist agendas" or any of that, is "Did you have FUN playing this GAME?" If the answer is yes, and you can assure others would, then it's a good game. If it's not fun, then it's not.
All subjective too. I loved the game Tenchu Z. Critics sure didn't. I've liked PLENTY of games that the critics hated or a bunch of people slammed with terrible reviews. It's fine. Expectation is also a killer. I had HUGE expectations for Starfield (I honestly don't know why) and I was pretty let down and negative about it.
@@societycasefiles Subvert expectations. When you're an old fart like me, you tend not to expect anything. Still, I wouldn't say that my disappointment makes anything technically BAD. It's the influencers influencing the arrogance of "I don't like it, so it's bad" that bothers me, as does the opposite "I like it so it's good."

Good to see that you are not quoting other people quotes or watching cherry picked videos where someone specifically picks all the gender option comments in order to prove something. Steam reviews based on the people playing it are good. This game is not DA:Origins, nor is it Balders Gate 3 but people want to complain about that, or other things that other games do worse. This game has improved in may ways. Inventory management used to be a nightmare. Chatter used to be annoying as hell, the exact same locations were continuously reused, etc.

This is a bad game. Poorly written, with very forgettable characters and arcs. With a minimalistic world design, sometimes less is more but not here. If you like shallow games with 0 depth and a very unchallenging gameplay good for you but plz don’t act like it is the best game out there. Be better.
True. I think EA has been paying of these smaller youtuber to give a positive review for the game, since alot of big youtuber didnt even get review copy. EA has been trying to silence the critique off.
I can assure you I got nothing for what I'd call a reasonable review. I did NOT say it's the best game out there. I found a lot of positivity. I get that you didn't. I did make it clear in the review that I acknowledge how polarizing the game is.
This game is terrible. Aside from the cringe woke stuff it's still bad. Terrible childish acting and writing. Stupid puzzles and boring. Terrible trash game. Decent graphics and good optimization but that's it
