    The origin of the cause is walang education ang maraming driver sa Philippines. Meaning, the drivers did not go to a driving course at walang theoretical exam, how can you ask people to follow something which they do not know themselves. It is like talking to yourself! A law must be made ASAP na lahat ng gustong makaroon ng driving license ay dapat kumuha muna ng course (which covers, traffic signs, regulations, handling of situations, calculations of reaction time, brake distance, and so many more). The cause must be not shorter than a month. There is so many things what a responsible driver should be educated on. That is reckless to give the individuals a license in such a condition! Everyone has tried almost everything, but on one has tried to make a law regarding to educate and test the lincense applicant, whether they should be given a driver's license. The national government has been reckless all those years, subrang daming namatay sa kalsada!!! And no matter how you explain the people you don't get to the same denominator with them. And as a fact new generation with the same education contributes to the traffic. The population is rising rapidly, the senators must move ASAP! And as a fact, the education would slow down the production of drivers on the streets as well as selectively giving only those who have passed the theoretical as well as practical driving test. In such way the government is producing educated drivers over time, and the educated drivers would become the educators of their families and friends etc... It could be one way to reach those who has not been educated in the past. Through the educated drivers the uneducated drivers would be reached, because they will be the right always in the end, and people (uneducated drivers) will understand (would make sense for them) and would be more sensitive to traffic rules and traffic signs. The key word is sensitivity enhancement! Yes, to fix the traffic you have only one way, the only way is to go through each uneducated driver by creating educated drivers.

      sa pagkuha palang ng liscence ATA tinuturo na yan ehh (not sure kasi kukuha palang ako eh hehe).... siguro dahil kasi sa katamaran nalang din .....babayaran nalang nila yung taong nag po.proseso sa LTO na bigyan na agad sila ng permit na nagets na nila ibig sabihin ng nasa kontrata instead of mag drive test ....in which mas pabor yun sa taong nag poproseso na wala silang kasalanan kapag di mo naintindihan ang lecturing sa LTO na rule sa kalsada..... yun nga lang nabobobo yung nagbayad sa kalsada .......................(baka ako lang nakaisip na merong ganito sa pagkuha ng lisensya????)

    Copiahin nyo ang oras ng mga bus dito sa Parma Italia. Ang 1 biyahe ng bus point to point 1 hr . 1 hr din pabalik. Every 15 min o 10min ang pagitan ng susunod na bus uli naparehas ang destination. 1to 2 mins loding and unloading. dapaat bus na double deck pa sana. D maraaming bus sa bawat bus stop kahit 10 bus .na iba ibang destinasion .Dapat d na jan sa Edsa ang maliliit na jeep.

    Kaya nagbabara EDSA concentrated sa iisang lugar. Dapat kasi ginagawan ng mga connecting roads bawat kanto every 1-2 kilometers to main roads para mas madami choices at more roads pa. Meron pang underground roads at railways na pwede mag bypass sa mga designated business places. May elevated/cable cars at kung ano pa. Dami choices kung gugustuhin. Wala tlg balak mga legislator branch natin ma solve ang problem, mas gusto nila long road. Yang skyway pasay to alabang Ramos era pa yan. Imagine mo sky way lang yn.

    Mag designate ng mga bus stops tapos 2minutes lng ang dapat mag baba o mag sakay may pasahiro man o wala alis ka agad kasi may susunod nnman na bus gawinh para mrt ang flow ng bus..gaya sa Singapore naka synchronised ang dispatching ng bus.

      yeah Ive been to Singapore last Sept. Their buses are superb. Its always on time. You just wait for few minutes and it is right there. No hassle, No Uneasy waiting

    MMDA is aware that number of new cars are increasing every year and yet they cannot come up how to decrease the volume of old cars. For me, to ease the traffic in Metro Manila, we should ban all private and non public utility vehicles which are 2005 and below models. That's the only way to decongest EDSA.

      Hindi nga pepede basta basta mag-ban, kc TRO ang katapat nyan! Kaya nga humihingi ng emergency powers and police powers para matigil na yang pakekealam ng supreme court. Madaming pedeng gawin pero hindi magawa ng maayos dahil sa TRO. Alam ni Trapoe yan kaya ayaw nya talaga ibigay ang EP, magiging liability and achievements kc ng goberyeno yan - mahihirapan sya manalo c Trapoe sa 2022 kaya lahat kinokontra nya.

    You need demerits pts for drivers. They start with 13 pts. Every offense they get a fine and lose 3 pts depending on violations. If they lose all their pts they are ban from driving. Yan ang ginawa dito sa Sydney so everyone obeys.

    Suggestions ko lang po :
    1. Build more new roads that are parallel to EDSA. Toll ways and public roads.
    2. Improve the MRT service.
    Buy new trains and coaches.
    3. Lessen the buses that are plying
    In EDSA. Especially the
    provincial buses.
    4. Disiplina at malasakit para sa Bayan.

      Sa totoo lang, kayang kaya gawin lahat yan in short time, 3 to 4 yrs, kung meron - emergency power ang government.
      Wala na bidding, diretso bili na kagad ng mga gamit. And the best of all - wala na problema sa Right of Way and wala ndn mga TRO, kunin na kagad ung land area. Yan lng nman ang mga nagpapadelay sa mga pojects sa kalsada. Ang dami kasong isinasampa ng mga oligarchs at kahit mga ordinary citizens para hindi tamaan ung property nila - puro TRO.

    To stop or control selling cars will not work like in Singapore..so stupid...Singapore has 6 million population and it is a Country but the size of a City...second They have a very good transit system. Third..The only problem is in Metro Manila...so how do you stop selling cars...it is a very big economic factor .....my goodness....EDSA is the major problem not people buying cars...the problem is Metro Manila..some people owns so many cars...but lots of people don't have enough parking so the streets are the parking lots.....

      Rick C for me, controlling selling cars will work, because if you give all the people with a car. Do you think it will not affect the traffic? Of course it will, more cars will cause heavy traffic. Relatively same thing will happen if they will control selling cars. Imagine most of those private cars only occupied by s single driver but area of their car using EDSA is Huge. The reason it worked in Singapore it’s because their car Taxes are expensive, and every year they need to pay a huge fee for using roads if you’re using a private car, so most people use public transit instead, same in Canada people would rather use bike than spending money on taxes. and having no parking lot with lot of cars doesn’t really affect the EDSA’s Traffic, because you can’t use all of your cars at the same time right? they’re not parking their cars in EDSA neither.

    Stop private companies to add more buses. You can see the parade of the bus in Edsa. Other country only gov own buses running around the city or other places. Add more train.

      HD Street 750 HOG riders Gov't own buses should operate in Metro Manila.
      Private own buses should operates in provinces only.
      Gov't buses shall leave on TIME with/without passenger.
      Improve Mrt/Lrt: add trips or coaches.
      Finish the world class subway.

    SUGGESTION: Demand bus owners to pay drivers and conductors with regular pay and not based on sales. Lessen bus stops! Remove bus stops that are near MRT stations and major corners! Bus stops should be 300 meters away from stations and major corners. Bus stops are for unload and loading only! Put officers in each.

    There should be efficient transportation system. Put a P-2-P like bus which would run every 15mins, like the bus system that works in HongKong and Canada that is run by the government, with designated loading areas for each route and numbered bus. The buses run different routes, numbered and will pass through the same route so that they do not cross over other bus routes. An efficient transport system would encourage car owners to take the bus rather than bring their own car and endure the grueling traffic everyday. Simultaneously increasing the tax on a next car and even higher tax on the third, etc, etc.

    Increase the trains on mrt, make the bus drivers' pay fixed monthly so these buses will not stay longer at a bus stop to get more passengers, educate drivers of traffic rules, stiffer fines to deter violators, and no garage no right to purchase cars...

    I think Marikina City should be an exemption. They are the only city complied since the 90s. It’s a matter of political will and leadership. As I said to other vlogs that I’m watching... PASS A LOCAL ORDINANCE LIKE WHAT MARIKINA DID.

    3:36 - the better question is how willing are the single-occupancy drivers to shift to commuting. the leverage points, therefore, are the reasons that encourage or hinder this paradigm shift. We should not waste our time on rerouting schemes as there is no amount of it capable of fixing an EDSA that is beyond its designed capacity.

    Just let Poe support in streamlining the nationwide traffic management policies as well as the processes to speed up BBB infrastructure projects (like mrt, subway, skyway--the primary and most vital solution). In Singapore, government have full control of the transport and road system policies and infrastructure projects. If the Duterte admin can craft a system where no obstructionist like Poe can touch, the better. Emergency power now!

    Ang pinakamalaking problema sa EDSA ay kakulangan ng disiplina. lalo na ang loading and unloading na hindi nasusunod. Make sure ang mga tao ay nasa tamang sakayan at babaan at bantayan ang mga buses na doon lamang magbababa at magsasakay sa tamang sakayan. Maglagay ng enforcer sa lahat ng loading and unloading zone para masigurado na nasusunod ito. Make sure na hindi lalampas sa tatlong minuto ang paghinto ng bus. Ayusin ang mga bus stops at lagyan ng metal barricade para nakapila ang mga tao para may kaayusan at walang singitan. Parang pila sa mga amusement park. Araw araw akong dumadaan sa EDSA at nakikita ko ang mga pasahero kung saan saan na lang naghihintay ng bus at siyempre ang mga bus pag nakakita ng mga pasahero kung saan doon din sila humihinto may busina pa napakalakas at pagkahabahaba kaya hindi lang ma traffic ang ingay pa. And I believe in the long run BRT or Bus Rapid Transit will solve the problem on EDSA.

    Color code buses according to destinations. Those who won't stop anywhere in EDSA must take the continuous fast lanes. Private vehicles that do the same in daily basis must be given same code. While we are making temporary remedies and studies, the government must start constructing subways for train and buses along EDSA. One more suggestion is to use cable cars along EDSA.

    hour. {this,non peak hours from 5 a.m. up to 9a.m.,and from 11 am till 3pm.time of operation. allow private vehicle then,2 lane in edsa..

    Ayaw ni Grace TraPoe ang Emergency Power kasi alam nya may Political Will ang Presidente, at yang Political Will na yan ang haharang sa Personal Interest nyang plano para tumakbo ulit ng Presidente. Mas matimbang kay Grace TraPoe ang Politcal Interest kaysa tumulong sa paghahanap ng solusyon sa problema sa EDSA.

    They should study one system that controls all the buses...GPS controlled and they can only stop at designated areas. Assign Buses as already mandated but make adjustments on how to create a system to coordinate them as one system that controls them. Automation is necessary but also they can have just the Government Controlled bus system....like how other Cities do it. How can they make a better solution if they never made a study how other Cities run their transit system. Wow call the experts ....not just talk and talk like what some Senators do....but never give solutions...

      joel infante I agree, also abolish LTFRB nagkakaroon ng malaking corruption at lagayan dahil dyan sa agency na yan. All mass transports should be controlled by the government. Si Cory ang nag approved ng LTFRB kaya nagkagulo ang transport system sa atin. Ang daming korapsyon para lang maaprubahan ang franchise.

    I dont mind using major terminals for all provincial buses no but govt should first fix problems associated to city buses, ffs city buses are super crowded and oh so slow.

    Copy singapore and other cities, implement some sort of Electronic Road Pricing, where cars will need an RFID of some sorts, then will be charged for using EDSA at peak hours. This would require technology that is accurate in pinging passing cars even at speed, not the same lame tech that's being used in our expressways with low accuracy (i hate it when SLEX sensor cant read the RFID tag). This should pay for itself. Though for motorcycle riders, dont let them (us) pay for this :D

    Within the Manila area .traffic could be solve.But how about the Edsa traffic problem?Its been a long time but its getting worse.So why don't divulge to the public what emergency powers could do in solving this Edsa traffic?See,it happens there is chaos among commuters when MMDA is doing this and that without notice.

    The guy can't comprehend that the objective of Erice's proposal is to minimize the use of private vehicles by pushing them to take the mass transport and not taking other routes! Of course, they still can but in the end they would realize that it is better to take mass transport.

      Masyado ng late ung proposal na yan. Hindi na uubra, TRO lang ang katapat nyan kagaya sa gnawa ng SC sa provincial bus ban ng mmda.
      Maganda ung bill ni Gatchalian, wag bentahan ng ssakyan ung mga taong walang sariling parking space sa bahay. Malaking tulong yan para makabawas ng kalat sa mga kalye.

      Pero yang proposal na pag ban ng private cars haharangin ng kongreso at sc yan kc kahit cla mismo at mga pamilya nila hindi gumagamit ng public transpo. Masyado ng late yang proposal na yan, nakabili na ng mga ssakyan ang lahat ng tao sa NCR, kaya TRO lang ang katapat nyan sa SC.

    Ang dami dami iniisip, yung malinaw na solusyon hinde magawan ng paraan! Ayusin ang public transport!!!! Specifically the rail transit. Dagdagan ang tren at byahe sa MRT! Gamitin ang Pasig river for ferry boats. Unahin ang solusyon kesa ang bulsa!

    Adjustments lang ginagawa nila hindi solusyon tulad ng obstruction at king ano man suggestions nato. Ang totoong solusyon ay upgrade at more roads, trains and underground road and railways, elevated car. Padami ng padami ang sasakyan at tao kaya dapat mag upgrade din.

    Brand coding? What if the brands are ferrari, lambo, bentley’s, bugatti, etc.. how many of those brands are in the PH? Not so many. Assuming there’s 100 of These cars in metro manila, does it meant that these cars will be the only private cars on the road?

    masyado na malalayo at komplicated na mga proposal ninyo. lets go back to basics, the science of traffic. scenario: kapag may huminto sa EDSA kahit isang sasakyan lang yan nagkakaroon na ng traffic. conclusion: BAWAL HUMINTO SA EDSA. diyan dapat magsimula ang mga plano at proposal ninyo. gumawa ng loading unloading stopping waiting bay outside of EDSA. kagaya ng ginawa sa sm megamall at north edsa. ang daming pwedeng lugar jan. kagaya ng trinoma, veterans hospital golf course, centris, expo centro, hypermarket main ave. dpwh, npo, nia, camp crame, camp aguinaldo golf course, camp panopio, starmall, people power monument, guadalupe seminaryo, galleria, villamor golf course, wakwak golf course, provincial bus terminal sa pasay at cubao gibain mga pader nila etc.

    You Guys should Come and visit Toronto Transit Commission and The Government of Ontario Trains and Buses....Each City has their own Control of Bus Routes.....very efficient and well controlled....

      Rick C and still during weekend, you have to wait for almost half an hour for the next bus if you missed it unlike in Singapore they are consistent. Every 5 minutes gap between buses and its almost 80-90% consistent regardless of weekdays or weekends. Philippines should learn from them though. ✌🏼

    Sesementohan nyo ba (gov't) ang mga structures na giniba nyo, cuz if not useless yung walkway para sa taong bayan dahil gibagiba na rin yung walkway cuz of the structures that was demolished??!!

    Bong and Jojo GM is overrated. I'm just objective look at Edsa now it's a mess. Pres Duterte must change these people puro yabang and dinadaan lang sa lakas ng boses. Just my opinion

    Let Tatz Digz have dictatorial control over EDSA, meaning EJK’s for any traffic violations and CITOM authority to dump the bodies over the bridge in to the Pasig...problem solved.

      So clearly emergency power is NOT the solution. Boracay was cleaned up without one. Cimatu did not ask for one. This is more of leadership, planning and implementation issue.

      You can't contrast the Boracay to EDSA. It's been a problem for most 2 decades. So emergency power is needed to utilize the traffic. Use your analization don't just agree with hearsay like Grace Poe. Such a hyprocite people.
