I really really ADOREEE that Celine belt bag in pico actually. In that dark grey shade. It’s the extra small one but so perfect for on the go / concerts / light errands etc 😊
So interesting! Japan really has a different trend preference then. America. I’m going to Tokyo in October and will have to observe that too, so excited! I always like to check out other women’s bag it’s so fun!
I loved this video ( handbags in the wild haha you almost needed the David Attenborough/documentary voice for this one) Glad to hear the Damier Azur is getting some love, my absolute favourite! ❤️❤️❤️ Great video, you look gorgeous start to finish, but the bronzer is everything!!!
This is really telling what kind of lifestyles and general personalities of everyday urban Japanese people~ very interesting. I’m quite new to your channel so I’m not sure if you’ve done this topic with another country but I’m hoping to see more of this as your travel!
Love this video Maggie! 😍 always so fun to hear you talk about the bags that you saw in certain places or bags that celebrities wear 💜💜💜 the difference between the luxury bags people wear in japan vs US is definitely so interesting
It’s true about the hammock bag and the color sand in Japan! I bought my compact hammock in sand in Osaka a few months ago. The SA told me afterwards that this combo (hammock + sand) was the most popular among locals. Also true that they love their celine bags 😊
I know this is random but I have really bad anxiety. Sometimes to the point where I need to calm myself down from going to the hospital. Watching your videos while I’m having a panic attack helps me get through it so much. Your voice is so therapeutic lol and your videos are just amazing duh 🫶🏽💖
I’d really love to see how you fill your Celine Vertical Cabas tote, or do a WIMB featuring it bc it’s been heavy on my mind since u mentioned that it could be stuffed Also I love that you took pics of everyone’s bags out n about! ❤
I had mini Celine belt bag in light taupe colour and it was so beautiful! But what I noticed that it’s quite ”cold” colour which goes better with cold toned beiges or with black or white. Now I have the nano size in black and I absolutely love it as it goes with everything and is more care free colour. However, I always think about that light taupe in nano size as it’s my favourite size, but then I think about the styling. So if you have very minimal style and love cold/neutral tones then you get more use of it😊
I vote yes on the belt bag! I have two and love them both (black and light taupe). They hold a ton and have held up beautifully against a lot of heavy wear. There is so much on my Celine wish list right now, but I think I want to snag a small phantom cabas. I'm into shoulder totes right now for some reason.
Omg omg you have two belt bags 😍 they seriously look so hardwearing especially bc of the grained leather. Celine is really stepping up their game in terms of variety and color choices!
I love Loewe! 😂 i have 9 Loewe bags and yes some of them are 2 hammocks reg size and one mini. One is not enough. I love Polene too, so far i have 4 and no problem at all 👌🏼
I got the Nano Celine Belt Bag back in 2021 and I am SOO happy I did. It's my favourite every day travel bag. I know a lot of people did not like it because it's hard to access since you need to zip it up and put the flap over... it honestly just made me feel more secure when travelling. It's also big enough to fit most of my necesseties without it feeling too heavy. The leather is VERY durable as well!
Yes I’ve read either people love it and it’s so practical or people find it a bit cumbersome. But I ADORE IT. When you bought it in 2021 was it less than 2k??
@@maggyxchuu It retailed for $2,750+ TAXES CAD which is about $2K USD. But I was also super lucky that a friend of mine worked there and I was able to use her year end discount, so I only paid about ~$1600CAD/$1200USD 😅
I owned the three long champ small and two tote bag. I used practical. I love them all. Small shoulder bag so cute. Combination black and pink. ❤great for travel Sometimes you don’t what’s the weather.
Hi Maggy! 💗 Great video.. Thanks for taking pics too! I've been looking at Cafuné for a while.. I think they're very chic & the Cafuné Stance Wallet is on my wishlist 😊 Btw, I could listen to you talk for hours.. you have a soothing voice!
SUPER CHIC RIGHT?? The first time I ever saw it I’m like what brand is this?? It’s so so elegant but looks so wearable too! Let’s keep each other posted if we ever add a piece :)
I have the Celine Belt Nano in Amazone 😍 it’s such a beauty! One con is that when you wear it crossbody, it sticks out a lot more than you would think. I prefer the look of holding it by the handle. Have also wrapped a twilly/bandeau around the handle and it’s such a cute look. I use a purse organizer cuz I thought it would just be a black hole, but I feel like it takes up so much space and can’t hold as much 😅
In New York, I often see Longchamp totes, and Goyard totes have had a huge resurgence, I see them so often. Then I see the Bottega Cassette and other miscellaneous brands. For contemporary: Marc Jacobs definitely.
Help. I've been looking at the Celine belt bag but can't get past the long front straps, because they remind me of catfish whiskers. Please tell me I'm being ridiculous. I can't unsee it. 😅
Loved this video !! I adore my Celine belt bag in nano, in color Calendula (warm yellow) !! Even in the winter, just a great pop of color with my neutral wardrobe
Oh no, you have just triggered my need for more luxury/contemporary bags. I wasn’t into Celine really and now seeing that simple modern style of the belt bag I’m just needing it now. I want most of the bags you’ve mentioned and will just have to work extra to afford them lol.
I love my longchamp XS, I have the nylon neo though. I've been wanting a Pico belt bag as well but the lack of even 1 internal pocket is deterring me from getting it because I know I'll be annoyed by that. I saw a couple if Polenes in Japan, mostly the Huit or as they call it the "cannelle" Personally I havent seen many desigber bags in the wild when I was in Japan. Everyone just had tote bags on top of another handbag or crossbody. It's so interesting how many use HANDbags as in use their top handles.
Yes!! I feel like almost everyone has a canvas bag AND an actual hand bag with them at all times! It’s never just one bag and they wear their phone on a long crossbody strap! But agreed in general people use simple unbranded bags :)
Its the same in Sweden so different styles. minimal astetic, very much ATP attilier and acne musubi bags. 😅. Not alot of colour🙈. I like the belt bag in light taupe or grey :). And i acually piked up a tan longchamp tote with a gold Button and i love it! I use it so much with my Celine belt in tan and Celine triomphe sandals :) Maby i should look in to a crossbody option 😇 Great video 😍
Celine belt bag was my dream bag when I was getting into luxury bags, but I went into the city and in 5 minutes I saw 10 different ppl with the belt bag, so I was completely turned off
I totally get this, especially a couple years back during the luggage craze the belt bag was also everywhere 😅 but now in America I feel like a lot of people have sold theirs but in Japan the love is so strong!
I also wanted a Celine belt bag but I could never settle on a size. Girl that Marc J tote is EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted a leather mini, but so many people have it, I got the Loewe flamenco instead.
For the longest time I had a lot of Damier Azur but now I just have one and 3 monogram, I don’t like Damier ebene, but the Azur continue to be my favorite from Lv ❤
The polene thing, they definitely got a bad bag because Polene quality is amazing, I see worse things happen to Chanel bags and considering the price of those I would die lol. I have been loving Celine so much lately!! Im trying to hold off until I plan a trip to NY because going to a big flagship store would be a dream!!
I like it aesthetically but I’ve never had a chance to actually feel the leather so that’s why I’m unsure. And I’ve heard horrible things about their customer service so now I’m kind of hesitant 😕
I love this bags! It's a great size for me. Not too bulky, not too small, not too deep. It's not heavy. It is a comfortable fit on your shoulder or on your arm. Secure! I love the look, style and product! #amzlv
I actually did see two fendi peekaboos how did I forget to mention that omg but ironically i didn't see a single fendi baguette bag! it's crazy just how vastly different whats popular in one country isn't as popular in another!
Loved the bag breakdown! I love seeing designer bags “in the wild” 😂
I wish I took more pictures 🥹
I really really ADOREEE that Celine belt bag in pico actually. In that dark grey shade. It’s the extra small one but so perfect for on the go / concerts / light errands etc 😊
The Pico used to be my favorite bc it’s like nano speedy size but after Japan I want a bigger one hehe
@@maggyxchuu The slightly bigger one looks really good on your frame too!
So interesting! Japan really has a different trend preference then. America. I’m going to Tokyo in October and will have to observe that too, so excited! I always like to check out other women’s bag it’s so fun!

I have the Celine Belt Bag and it's amazing. So stylish and quiet as well!
It’s such a classic Celine bag too ugh one day one day ✨
This is really telling what kind of lifestyles and general personalities of everyday urban Japanese people~ very interesting. I’m quite new to your channel so I’m not sure if you’ve done this topic with another country but I’m hoping to see more of this as your travel!
But yes that’s what I noticed too! Everyday people there need practical over cute bags bc they walk so much! So so glad you enjoyed the video 🥹🩵
@maggyxchuu you should talk about popular bags you saw in Europe since you were there a couple months ago!
Love this video Maggie! 😍 always so fun to hear you talk about the bags that you saw in certain places or bags that celebrities wear 💜💜💜 the difference between the luxury bags people wear in japan vs US is definitely so interesting
It makes loving different brands so much more refreshing and more appreciative of the range of styles out there 💓💓

Oh yes I can definitely do this in a vlog :)
I really enjoyed this video especially because I’ve been lucky enough to have had the chance to go to Japan but that was before I got into handbags!
