mbros, Thank you. i really appreciate the comment as i'm on a massive learning curve on both brewing beer and making the videos. The latter being the most difficult. Im just posting an Elvis juice video now.
Thanks, and I think you are right. I tried to follow recipes but maybe they are trying to save a few bob. I’m gunna step up the dry-hop in both time and quants next time. I appreciate the comment. 😁
Cheers Ozz! Yes, it did improve a bit but was a far worse beer than anything else in the fridge! Big learning curve here but I’m on it! My Elvis Juice after this was off the scale good!
@@thelazybrewer9678 Awesome!! It’s great to see videos of the MINIBREW as they are few and far between. I’m sure your beers will soon start tasting awesome! Just one question.. is there any reason you can’t dry hop using the dump valve? By pouring the hops in there and then purging, I would think that would be better as less oxygen? Also, not sure why the need for hop bags? Why not just throw them straight in and get more flavour? You’ll get more trub, but you have a dump valve so can sort that out? Just curious :)
The accessory for the dry hopping is included or sold by minibrew too? Thanks a lot for the video, Honestly I've been out of the business for a long time, and now I am trying to decide if to buy this and keep it simple (I don't drink as much as I did in the past haha) or go with the traditional expensive setup. Does this machine also sparge and do the whirlpool after the boiling?
Honestly, I think you know more than I do on this. Yes, the machine does everything but brew day is still pretty busy. After that you just need to empty the thrub container/ add dry hops when notified by the app. The hop spider does not come with the minibrew! I haven’t brewed since the last video. I’m getting back on it very soon!
Did you add 4g of total dry hops? that might be the reason for the lack of flavour:) if you check the brewers notes section on the brewery portal it says 15g of each. The 1g each in the recipe is only to reduce the clarification steps so you dont have to click trought the same popups 6 times.
i just checked, i put in 1g of each. Didn't read the brewers notes when i was measuring out the ingredients, just what was in the list. Think i'm going to have another go at brewing this this one. Hazy deserves it. Cheers bro, i really appreciate the comment, its all beginning to make sense.😀👍
vor 0 Sekunden Hey Lazy Brewer ! Great content of the Minibrew. Hopefully we will see some new content in the near future 😊 I was just wondering about your double mash, so there is a „chance“ to stop the brewing process and make a decotion by telling the minibrew that you run a new mash ? I‘ve a Minibrew but didn‘t used it so far… For my First brew in a few days (after I got my grain mill) I choosed a czech dark lager.. this one needs a decoction
Thanks, I have just needed to googled decotion which tells you you are asking a novice 😂. I needed to call support on the double mash as it got stuck in the loop. This is a common problem it seems and all works fine when you keep trying to push forward. More info on that in the Facebook group. You have plenty of time for your decotion I think. What will be in this potion of yours? I’m keen now to go all out on adding deep and complex flavours?
This is amazing content!

Maybe a bigger dry hop next time? Great video!

Thanks for the video. Love to see content of the mini brew. And don’t worry it will get more hoppy and fruity after a few more days 😊👍🍺

you might be able to make it fruity by adding acid to the water, UK tap water is too alkaline for hazys
You are right! That’s the next thing I’m working on! The water!! Must get brewing again soon!
