Mika Hashizume is a American-Japanese singer and model who was born in Hawaii in1998. Zhou Shen was his tutor while Mika was attending his TV debut competition programme in 2021. This duet performance was for another TV programme in April 2022. Zhou Shen was the main casting member of the TV show series and Mika was chosen by ZS to do the duet in one of the series. It could be regarded as the promotional show for Mika.

I think d world of ZShen's voice, incomparable. But i must say Mika hs a lovely deep voice.
Mika, from a boys' group called into1, where members were selected through a TV singing competition programme in 2021. Zhou Shen was the tutor in that programme and so he sings definitely better than Mika.
Ok. ZS wanted to give Mika a chance to be on stage. He’s a new dude trying to make it in Chinas market so he joined a competition. ZS as one of judges and tutors in this show, chooses from different contestants whom he thinks may have some potential, to give them each a chance to shine bcoz everyone wants to sing with ZS. He doesn’t look down on aspiring singers- that’s the kindness of his heart. But whomever he chooses should be more prepared to show and give their best. Other judges have the same options too。Each judge coaches 7 contestants during the entire show. Contestants decide. based on their own performance whom they wish to sing with any genre of music.

First time listening to this duet. Always love 'City of stars' and this version, their voices just gel in and work so well together. I think Mika has got really beautiful low range and Zhou Shen, well, just Zhou Shen, amazing as usual. I love it!

Poor Mika. So many times I have heard reactions of, he's not u to the standards of Zhou Shen, why is he even singing with him? Imagine him reading these reviews! The poor guy was the greenhorn student paired with Zhuo Shen the mentor... so of course Zhou Shen is at a much higher level, and there are many seasoned professionals with deep voices who could pair with Zhou Shen.
I think Mika did a great job, learned a lot from Zhou Shen's mentoring, and was brave to sing with him on stage.
