“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!
If y’all don’t go back to putting the product names in the video!!!
🤬
But beautiful as always 🥰
The neon nail
Perfecto 👏🏻👏🏻💅💅
Do you cure the gel in between layers? I think you do, but i won’t assume. Looks great.
Yes you do. You cure the gel and then press the powder onto the tacky layer and then repeat until you get the look you are wanting.
What is the clear liquid your putting on it after you put the first layer of pigment
It's our conversion base coat, available on our website.
Please Are the pigment applied on a dried acrylic nails ?
The pigment pressed in the that tacky layer of cured gel. You can do this on top of a finished acrylic nail like shown in the video.
What that the liquid is used by 2 layer
It's our conversion base gel.
Great nail design thank you.
Looks so pretty but How long do you cure the gel polish ; in order to get the best adhesion ?
Our gels fully cure in 60 seconds.
@@youngnailsinc if it's fully cured will the pigment still stick? Or does it need to be partially cured?
Is that base gel under the first layer of color?
No, it's our conversion base gel. It is specially formulated to absorb the powder this way.
Do u cure adter vuilding up yhe color or between the colors
You cure the gel and press the powder into the tacky layer.
I need that in my life please
Hello I love your videos on this one Ombré do you cure each time between colors ? Can you break it down to me lol 😂 thank you 🙏 sincerely Linda 😎
ua-cam.com/video/2PJiYOTv5j0/v-deo.html
Love it
What color is this ?
I saw a video on nail sugaring and I loved it but I can’t figure out what kind of polishing everything is the best one to use for that keeping in mind that I’m disabled and on a very tight budget and I’m not a professional nail person I just like to do my own could anyone help me tell me some that are good but not breaking the bank.
With the sugaring technique, the ideal product to use is the Ultimate Finish top coat since it doesn't have a tacky surface after it's cured and it also has a little thicker consistency. Because of the thicker consistency, when you sprinkle the glitter on top, it will absorb into the coat. Once you cure, it will hold the glitter in place and then you can dust off the excess. At this point, the glitter is secured and won't transfer.
So I tried this and the topcoat after my layer of eyeshadow started to peel almost like the previous layer needed to be roughed up first. Any suggestions?
Did you use a top coat that still had the “sticky” layer? It had to have something to stick to. A non wipe top coat will not work.
@@Baldhead_DivaNailz will a base cost do the same? All my top coats are non wipe but I have dip powders that I thought I’d try this woth
@@stardustfactory8311 it will, I've tried it with the tacky layer of my base coat
@@stardustfactory8311 I’m not sure. I’ve never tried with a base coat. I know you can also do it with a white gel polish that still had a sticky layer as well. Or if you have a ombré gel like from igel beauty.
We have not tested this technique with eyeshadow, so we can't say for sure why your top coat is peeling. We use pigments or our Slick Pour colored acrylics and two coats of top coat to seal the surface.
Is this slick pour being used?
In this video it is pigment powders but you can use slickpour as well.
ua-cam.com/video/2PJiYOTv5j0/v-deo.html
Question: can I put topcoat on aurora powder or I could just let it be?
Unfortunately, we can't speak on other products as we do not test them. I would check with the company of the powder you are using for what you can and can't do with it.
You can also ask in our facebook group and anyone who has used the product can give advice.
@@youngnailsinc I see! Thank you for the informative reply!❤
I wanted to ask doesn't the top coat get contaminated and then start splitting ? Because my top coat splits sometimes after chrome
With this technique, make sure you are applying the product into the tacky surface of cured gel and then brush off the excess powder. If you don't brush off the excess, this can contaminate your top coat. Also, apply two coats of top coat to give a good seal over this or chrome applications.
@@youngnailsinc thank you 😊
What's that powder stuff?
It's pigment powder, unfortunately it is no longer available.
Do you put matt top be4 apply pigment colors?
No, we are applying them to the tacky layer of cured gel.
What type of pigment?
These colors were our Slick Pour powders. These are an ultra fine acrylic powder and they are very pigmented.
#youngnails I am wanting to know do you put the base gel coat on to get the ombre effect??
Yes, you can use a coat of your Base or a tacky Top Coat (ManiQ or Stain Resistant). Cure that and then apply the colors into the cured, tacky layer. After your second coat of color, you would apply 1-2 coats of top coat to seal.
Thanks again for all the knowledge you have shared with us
Are those acrylic powders?
They are pigment powders which means matte powder, then you have mica powder which means shimmery hope this answers you questions no they are not acrylic powder
@@Lolabad thank you!
There’s a pretty famous nail tech who likes using acrylic powders in these neon colors rather than pigment, she states they blend better!
@@nahngood5738 good to know, thank you!
Does Young Nails sell pigment powders?
We do not.
@youngnailsinc so do you have a reccomend brand, link ideally? And also I read you sell thr conversion liquid? So that but not the pigments? I'm extremely confused but I also haven't strayed too far from gel/liquid products yet hahaah.
Can I use old eyeshadow?
Yes!
We haven't tested this technique with eyeshadow, so we can't say if it would work. If you do try the technique with it, make sure that the product is sanitized according to your state board procedures for makeup application.
I love the technique but I don't have any pigments :( :( !!!
You can achieve this look with our slickpour powders as well.
Eyeshadow works too!
MICA POWDER!
It's just like eyeshadows, pretty much... 😉
I wasn't sure either,at first because everyone seems to "brand" it in their line of products.
I read ingredients and shop accordingly. 😁
I got a TON of colors in lil bottles from Amazon, in the Resin art niche or paint pours .. They'll come in lil baggies too.
I'm thinking a good gel base coat ya like, or a builder gel mix on a tile with a toothpick or nail tool.
I wonder what nail powders are actually made of .. never looked. But seems to be a similar staged process... Hope you figured it out.
☺️
WHAAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!
What is the liquid?
A gel top coat.
@@Baldhead_DivaNailz thank you🥰
@@jennas_nails welcome. Make sure it’s one that still has a “sticky” layer. Don’t use one that is non wipe.
@@Baldhead_DivaNailz totally would have messed that up, duh me, thank you much!
It's our conversion base it is formulated to absorb the powder this way.
