Always happy to see a new episode pop up! I get so much inspiration and validation from you both. I always send friends over to watch!

I think the language thing is super cool! I used to love getting into language learning but I never managed to stick to one language, other priorities would take place and then when I get the urge I would switch to another language. So in a way I am multi-lingual, just on a very tiny level, enough to survive while travelling, but not to express thoughts or feelings. So my question is how to keep the motivation/engagement high enough to stick to a language if not living in the place where it's a need but rather a hobby.

By initially asking yourself ‘why’ you want to learn it and then finding out your personal learning style. If the reason is big enough, you’ll take action and stay consistent. That’s what I did with French. I have already a year studying it. I want to add also, that you got to make the learning process fun by learning with a tutor or a language learning partner instead of from a book or audio course. Good luck!

Language question: 1. How to not sound like a foreigner (ways other than using colloquial language) 2. If you were to teach a kid a foreign language, how would you go about it?
Also, would love to hear Martin speaking some foreign languages.

This a kinda goofy thing I’ve been doing to switch in and out of working. When I’m doing school work I wear dress shoes. You notice when you’re wearing dress shoes but they’re not annoying. Another thing I’ve been doing is a fake bike commute, in the morning I go for a 15 minute ride and when I’m done with school I go for a 15 minute ride and I don’t work after this unless it’s very urgent.

I want to change my hair colour, but I can’t settle on a colour. To help me make a choice, I could book a consult and a colour appointment at the salon.

Great episode as usual, guys. What I’ve always dreamed of doing and never got down to doing it is starting a UA-cam channel on Japanese role-playing video games. Partly because of being excessively busy with my academic career, partly because of fear of failure given the great number of channels devoted to the same topic.

I didn't get a job right out of college. It's been 5 years and Im so scared to look for work now. I might get rejected right away for all the years I've missed.

Remember to apply the Bruce Lee Principle to this: think about your own appetite for novelty.
Take this if it is useful, discard it if it is useless, add what is specifically your own.
