It’s kinda interesting how the v wings roar and look like ties from a distance. I’m guessing that’s why they were chosen to be the enemy fighters for the burgeoning empire.
Anyone else low-key prefer the aesthetic of the Empire's early years? (Vader flying a black Jedi Interceptor, gray/black V-Wings, all gray Venators, phase II Clone troopers, etc.)
So what's up with the lasers on those things? I'm guessing that V-wings firing blue lasers are early production models, whereas the ones firing green are later production craft? I always found it interesting how V-wings in Bad Batch and The Mandalorian fired blue, because most of the other Republican fighter/bomber craft fired green with the exception of Clone Wars era Y-wings.
The blue bolts are high-ionized tibanna gas (blaster gas) which was used during the clone wars do to its added effectiveness against droids, while green bolts are high quality tibanna. For context red blaster bolts are from cheaper low quality tibanna.
in revenge of the sith all the republic fighters shoot green so that should be what happened im guessing the animators just made a mistake having them shoot blue in season 1 and corrected it in season2?
Reminds me of the first time we see ARC-170s in TCW at the Battle of Malastare. They fire blue bolts, and honestly the only time I can recall them firing green bolts in the show is at the Battle of Kamino (a blink and you'll miss it shot). For the Republic, it seems like they had V-Wings/ARC-170s that fired both bolt colors. My personal headcanon is that the greenbolt variants are on key Republic worlds (Coruscant and Kamino as an example) and the blue bolt ones are the majority. As for the Empires case, I think they just changed the V-Wing (and I'm assuming the ARC-170s too) bolt colors to green overtime to symbolize the eventual shift towards TIEs. That's just my personal interpretation/headcanon of all this though.
@@KrypticElement Would make sense why only important worlds would have green bolts as in canon green bolts are high-quality blaster gas. While the clones standard blue bolts are an high-ionized blaster gas which makes them more effective against droids.
@@stubbornspaceman7201another guess would be a shift in ammunition, the empire probably had to use up all the remaining ionized gas so the empire can procure the higher quality ones, and eventually use them as standards for all fighters and ship munitions
We never really got to see them in the Clone Wars, disappointing... @1:34 Interesting how here the top and bottom side panels sort of fold towards each other when landing, whereas they just rotated to the horizontal position in Revenge of the Sith...
Depends on its purpose. TIE's were designed for speed, manoeuvrability, and fire-power - but also designed so that trying to steal one would be suicide. TIE's are notoriously dangerous to fly without the proper training, and its pilots are forced to wear a pressurised suit to survive in the cockpit, and to depend on a mothership for long-distance travel since they lack hyperdrives. It's actually kind of brilliant. The Empire literally keeps its best fighter pilots on a leash so that they can't rebel, because the leash is also a life-line.

That and maybe because they weren’t in TCW except for background Easter eggs in the last season
Now I wanna see them in Tales of the Jedi Season 2, because they’ll hit different.
It is because the V-Wing use the same type of engine (twin ion engine) like the TIE's line
They show up in that same role, for the same reason, in the shot at the very end of RotS with the Death Star prototype.
They could also use hyperspace rings
V wing is the most underrated Star Wars starfighter change my mind
I cannot change your mind from the TRUTH! I loved them from Revenge of the Sith and the Dark Times books!
v wing pilots try not to crash with eachother challenge(imposible)
💀
Such an underated ship. I'm hoping Lego releases another set of it one day.
FAAAACTS
Clone turbo tank too ngl
V Wing is my favorite starfighter on Star Wars

I totally agree
I lego rereleased or remade the imperial v wing
I quite like the v wings shame they weren’t in more often
At least they are getting spotlight in the bad batch
V-Wings weren’t introduced till the very end of the Clone Wars, so they weren’t featured in the Clone Wars TV series.

It's impressive how tough these things are, they took rockets and lasers and almost didn't react at all

This whole video is pretty much “Remember when we were the good guys? Well, we’re the bad guys now.”
Hopefully season 3 has v wings
V wing is the prototype or first version of Tie fighter
I like v-wings
Are you gonna upload the Desix battle soon?
yeah I will, still a few videos in line until then!
does this mean there are other wings???
like a-wings
b-wings etc.?
idk im just makign stuff up lol
The republic used Y-wing bombers during the war. And the rebellion had a-wings, b-wings, y-wings, and x-wings. So yes

I think V-wing is better than imperial TIE-fighter.

Why does the bad batch always make the pilots of them look incompetent?
