They need to put a small opening in the bottom so you can mount the 70-200 on a tripod. They way it is right now if you mount it on a tripod it pulls the bag forward and leaves less room for you hands. I returned mine for that reason. One simple slit in the bottom with some velcro is all it would take to make this a really great rain cover.

Dan Carr from Shutter Muse said if you use a Mr. Clean magic eraser, it cleans the fog from the Hydrophobia.

Nice review! Just one question: after you mount the cover, can you still use the focus ring? I have a Tamron and the zoom ring is at the end (like Sony's focus ring). :D

Yep! I just grab the outside of the rain cover and twist the focus ring.

This review was helpful for me as I'm looking for a rain cover for shooting video with a7S III with battery grip and Sony 24-240mm. Do you have yet found a solution for the microphone problem? I'm thinking of buying Vanguard rain cover.

I haven't run into a situation where I needed audio from an a7 series camera during rain. A lot of times I'm also using a Sony Fs5/Fx6 which I use a Portabrace rain cover on that allows microphone space.

it might be a tight squeeze for the medium... however thinktank just released a new large version which can fit up to a 600mm lens so you'd be fine with that one!

Which size cover would you use for the Sony 16-35GM f2.8 lens

What happens if have an extending zoom lense (rather than a non extending zoom), would the Velcro not slip off the lense hood?

at the time I shot this I didn't have a telephoto zoom that extended. There were no issues on shorter lenses which extend like my 24-105 due to the rubber inside. I now have a 100-400 and will gladly make another video about it for you! Give me a few days to do so.
