Ok so he’s a microclimber, riding what is basically a kids sized bike, and it’s 400grammes over the weight limit?! What are they DOING?!?!? It can’t just be the disc brakes. Are the handlebars made of pig iron?!
It is just disc brakes. You need stiffer fork and wheels as well for disc brake
@@Sam-cy6cd yup people are starting to understand how stupid it is to have to completely redesign the bike around the brakes ffs! i would add..stiffer chainstay, over built hubs, thru axels, more spokes, no radial spoking, more maintenence, problems with caliper rubbing and expansion, trouble with heat dissapation etc, etc! not to mention weight and aesthetics!lol
@@goodeggnogg7038 exactly but bike manufacturs forcing us to buy disc brakes cause they stop producing rim brakes. Its all about profits
@@Sam-cy6cd don't worry they'll be bringing direct mount rim brakes back in in about 18 months.. after everyone has bought a disc roadbike!lol
It's definitely not 7.2 kilos i the video . I weighted up one on the another they, bigger size, heavier paint jobb, heavier saddle and wheelset and it was 7.235kg. His must be this weight with pedal and everything else is on.
Would be awesome with rim brakes...
The Oltre XR4s used by Jumbo Visma last year were lighter (at that size), more aero and infinitely better looking! So much sacrificed for disc brakes..
Well, aesthetics can’t really be quantified so there’s plenty room for subjective fudging.. ;-)
i'm 171cm and ride a 54cm frame, should I actually be going down a size or 2?
Im 172cm, a casual rider, I'd recommend dowing a size.
without other measurement i would say yes. But what are your leg length ? your torso ? etc...
54cm looks big, im 1m71 too, i have a 53cm bike measur between seat tube to center stem cap) but i have a short stem of 90mm.
I like it because the position is not to agressive for long ride.
If you are a racer, then you may want an aero position, 52 or 51cm (like Yates) offers you more agressive position. If you just ride for pleasure, fit your bike for confort
Rim Brakes are lighter
wait for it when he wins Giro

@@gcnracing :D
@@gcnracing well he wont :D
My aero medium 55cm Bianchi Oltre rim version is lighter.
Aaand he won
Wish that were my bike only in my size.
Hahah, standing by for someone to complain its too heavy followed by some disc brake illuminati faff!! lol
👀
I guess you don't understand how important weight is over a world tour stage
c loko q baguio top, eu com minha 26 pesadona ja curto, magine com um negocio desse
Are you sure on his height - those measurements sound wrong and the measurement lines are in the wrong places
im amazed how unbalanced bike wheels can be, even at pro level
Seems heavy for a specialisima…guess it’s the 60mm rims
