To me it spoke like: Now Man has become like Me knowing good.... AND..... evil. First we only knew good, godliness. After the fall we knew also the evil God knew existed, kept hidden for us, but now we got acquainted with. But... great knews. Through Christ God gave back the divine life mankind lost in Adam's fall. For free. Because of love.
Very interesting. Loved the commentary of how the narrative changes after the fruit of knowledge is eaten. They begin to hear God's foot steps in the garden. That's awesome how you put it.
To be like God is to deal in morality. The tree is called the tree of knowledge of good and evil, morality. Man is a being with the ability to speak thoughts into existence. So he stops hunting and gathering, and instead he farms and herds. He goes from being nomadic, to being sedentary, city builders and dwellers. He creates laws and order. He gives up his humanity and becomes part of mankind. He shapes metal to make weapons. He discovers the electron, he splits the atom. He arms the world a world built on morality good and evil, culture wars, and geo politics. There are lines in the sand, the world is fractured. And man says let there be light. And there is light everywhere, all over the globe every city across the planet. The smoke clears the "beast" civilization as we call it. Lies in the pit of fire, lost to TIME. And man goes back to hunting and gathering. Except this time he has robbed himself of everything "God", the natural world provided. Sleep tight it's almost midnight.
I am so thankful that I went back to your teachings, as you are dealing with exactly the questions that I was asking. I like the idea and challenge to expand and look at completely different options than the ones that I had always believed. Still, it takes me a bit of time to change my thinking, and more than anything it leads to more questions. So one question that I have is this: If partaking of the fruit leads man to becoming what God had in mind in the first place, then why did God forbid them to eat of that fruit, and even more tell him that he would surely die.
God never forbid Adam to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil, He just warned them not to eat (and gave the reason). Read Gen 3 again. Also, they were alreády created in His image & likeness, so it is never a case of "becoming what God had in mind". Remember they had boldness in His presence, no fear at all when He came to them in the cool of the day. When He told Adam "that you will surely die", He meant that they will loose their consciousness of who they are and who He is. It was only when Adam ate, that there eyes were opened (there soul got "switched on), as He spoke to Adam. Nothing happened when Eve ate. Adam had to check his mind, that was the Garden. Symbolic. A good book you can read, is Who Switched on my Brain by Dr Leaf (if i have her surname spelled correct). Also, God had only 2 sons: Jesus as the last Adam came to undo whatever went wrong in the first Adam: Rom 5:12-21 🌾 Then, the seed are in the men, so the moment Adam got alianated in his mind, all of mankind were included in his fallen mindset. Jesus was God's plan of salvation. Nowhere in Gen it says that God awakened Adam. Trust this help :)
Simply put - Like us, Man now knows the difference between good and evil. Not that we became like God - just the same knowledge of good and evil "Like God" and the angels and Pre-incarnate Jesus. "Man has become like us, knowing good and evil" - just meaning we know the difference between good and evil so we have free-will and choice like the angels did. Not like were like them.
The whole meaning of Genesis 3:22 can be referred to a Child’s innocence before the age of accountability... Mankind was like innocent children before the fall from grace
Amen to genesis 3:22-24 and this message, loosening God his welcoming gesture to invite, accept and conserve life to the fullest, binding to know good from evil as God without God to the pit of hell upon no return in my life, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, hallelujah!

Hello - This is an allegorical story of the raising of Eve's serpent force kundalini base chakra which lead to cosmic consciousness. The Tree is a reference to the Jewish Tree of Life and the ten Sephiroth of the Kabbalah. This was too complicated for the simple populace of 2000 years ago, so the priesthood simplified it. There was no actual tree or any fruit (apple or whatever) present, no Satan in the form of a speaking serpent, and no God even. The Gardeners of the Earth who were guiding the process were there supervising, The reference to flaming swords was their phasers/tasers that we see in Star Trek. The Us that God refers to is the other deities in the process, which we also see in the phrase `Let us ...' in Genesis. There was no Fall. Womankind is innocent. God did not curse mankind. Not sure if anyone else noticed that in 2:16 Gods says that if they partake they will die but in 3:22 God dose not say they partook of the tree and died but that they instead became like one of us?
Thanks, Joe - the following are from the upcoming book, "Creative Chaos": Again the example of young children is useful. Prior to the development of an independent self, the child is immersed in their reality in such a way that no separation exists between themselves and their world. Consequently, there are no value judgments. Things just are the way they are. To make judgments about good and bad, an independent will, a judge, is necessary. Although such independence might be desirable, the development of self-consciousness will also introduce the consciousness of death. If there is no self to preserve, there is no death to fear. We have often interpreted the pronouncement “for in the day that you eat of it you shall die” as a warning of punishment, but it could equally be read as a prophetic statement of the inevitable: Self-consciousness will open the door to death-consciousness. It is partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, this development in consciousness, that inevitably results in an awareness of death.

READ IT TO YOURSELF AND THINK AND LOOK AT THE WORDS WHY ARE THEY CAN'T HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND WHY IS HE TALKING TO SOMEONE TELLING THE PERSON'S THAT THEY CAN'T ALLOW THEM TO EAT FROM THE TREE OF LIFE HE WAS UPSET WREN HE FOUND OUT THAT THEY HAD KNOWLEDGE
Andre look at how Youngs Literal translates this -- it says, man WAS like Us (before eating the fruit) concerning the knowledge of good and evil, but now, lest he stretch his hand out...not an exact quote, but completely opposite meaning than any other translation. And for me, that brought light. We WERE like God, looking not at legalism and judgment, but through a completely different lens. God never did want to keep anything of Himself from us. God doesn't see through that lens either...he doesn't "know" good and evil, he doesn't remember sin, love keeps no account. I see God, like how Young's literal describes this. When mankind ate the fruit, we saw God and life through a different lens. We didn't become like God at all, we have seen God as a moralistic judger ever since. That is how we fell.
Thanks Wendy for your thoughts. I guess this is an example of how literal translations show their limitations. Most translators agree that 'has become' would be the more accurate English equavalent, and it specifically refers to the knowledge of good and evil that brought about this state. Nothing in the text refers to 'before eating the fruit'. Here is the Orthodox Jewish Bible translation: "And Hashem Elohim said, See, HaAdam is become like one of Us, knowing tov v’rah; and now, lest he put forth his yad, and take also of HaEtz HaChayyim, and eat, and chai l’olam (live forever);" Fully agree with you that God does not withold anythimg from us... and yes, that He forgives sin so completely that He remembers it no more. However, you seem to say God has no knowledge of good and evil. Do you think God knows the difference between love and hate; the difference between violence and peace? Is God indifferent to a child being abused? I'm sure you agree that God is not indifferent. Also very interesting is the fact that the imagery of a fall is completely absent from these chapters. Even the event of being expelled from the garden is more of a horizontal image than a vertical one, more suggestive of a birth than a fall. Sin is not mentioned in these stories - for that we’ll have to wait for the first act of violence. And the innocence of Adam and Eve is not portrayed as a blissful state of perfection, but rather as a naive innocence in which nothing interesting happens. ...
I agree. I studied this and i think thats exactly what happened. We didnt know good or evil but now that we know it we are drowned in legalism and seeing God as one with a stick ready to punish every wrong. Rememeber that when God found Adam in the garden as usual He asked him who told him that he was naked. I think Adams perception of God had changed for the worse and god knew that someone had to have told Adam the "lie" that changed his perceptions or that Adam had himself undertaken to get the knowledge of good and evil and gotten the results that caused his sudden guilt.
Been working on a book for a while already ... hope to have it published by September. It is one of the most fascinating subjects ... how we tell our origin stories and why we tell them in this way. What truth do these symbols represent?
@@Alwaysloved I feel that we need to go before time and know the authentic, unadulterated "us" the way He knew us before time and just like you were talking in the "Unconscious mind" that there is an "I" in me that I do not know and we need to know that part of us where He is awake in us. The inseparable Him and I, in me. Genesis 3:22 actually God wants to make us God ..united way Christ is body of his people groom and bride connects as United not seperated beings ..as the father son holyspirit ... Simply .. simply God is holy which means he is beyond of everything in this world so here Holy means when there is no people human beings or his creation angels ..he's Holy which means is beyond of everything and Jesus came to this world and he also beyond of everything and he said simply follow him in a way which God created as a new Adam without sin.. Jesus creates here between God and human a best bonding which is the holy life like him beyond of this creation .. may be because ..Jesus said I'll give you the tree of life which means jesus want to take us mortal to immortal life . Jesus here said he give the fruit of tree of life .. Which is everlasting life with love ... Let all humans united and ask God . ... Oh god .. How great you are .. praise the lord ..
God says men have become like one of us, knowing good and evil, why is this bad??? How is it that God know evil?? there is nothing evil or sinful with God, Satan is called the evil one.
To know "good and bad" was never what God had in mind when created mankind, as this would imply we will live from our carnal mind where there is hardly any grace. James 4:1 God never knew evil, as He is a holy Spirit. His eyes are to holy to look at evil. Satan has been dealt with at the cross of Jesus who was sent as the last Adam to undo whatever went wrong in the first Adam: Rom 5:12-21 The name satan áfter the cross became a verb, a doing word. Those living without the Holy Spirit, they are the satan. Jesus came to make everything new and fresh.
In Creative Chaos, I look at some of the extra biblical myths that were the forerunners to these stories. Those myths were still polytheistic. A move towards monotheism is evident in the Genesis texts, but it is by no means complete. Monotheism is not simply a matter of arithmetic - one instead of many - but rather a whole new category of understanding God as the underlying unity, the source from whom all things find existence.
2 gods/entities with different names/titles making 2 different creations of humans on different days with different directives given having drastically different results is the plain reading of the story. The hypothesis documentary is just a hypothesis. There is no proof if it. The plain reading is the first humans where created in the Image of the Elohim meaning they already had the knowledge of good and evil which is why the Elohim told its creation they were free to eat seed producing fruit from every tree on the face of the earth. YHWH did not create humans in the image of the Elohim. YHWH, did not want his creation to know the difference between right and wrong and forbade them from accessing that knowledge. When his humans did access that knowledge, YHWH cursed the earth, all the animals and all of humanity including the the first creation of humans by the Elohim. In the story, there is no good evidence that YHWH and the Elohim are the same entity and all the evidence from the story suggests that the Elohim and YHWH are not the same entity.

THAT IS A LIE @eekay5710
And the innocence of Adam and Eve is not portrayed as a blissful state of perfection, but rather as a naive innocence in which nothing interesting happens. ...
The whole temptation was 'when you eat of the tree you will be like God' - not 'you are like God but when you eat you will cease to be like Him.'
It sounds like slavery my people was not allowed to have knowledge
Andre can you please do a more elaborate session on creation and Genesis with the context of Ephesians in place. I want to understand more of this
Been working on a book for a while already ... hope to have it published by September.
Just like the Father and Jesus are one and so we get to know how we are one with Him in essence and it's refreshing to know that He is not insecure about our individuality. We need to unlearn a lot. To not know to know...
@@RebeccaThomas991 I think this is what Col 2:10 speaks about. A place where we experience again the completeness of being part of Christ ... in whom all things consists
@@Alwaysloved awaiting your book and your UA-cam session 🥰😘
Genesis 3:22 actually God wants to make us God ..united way Christ is body of his people groom and bride connects as United not seperated beings ..as the father son holyspirit ... Simply .. simply God is holy which means he is beyond of everything in this world so here Holy means when there is no people human beings or his creation angels ..he's Holy which means is beyond of everything and Jesus came to this world and he also beyond of everything and he said simply follow him in a way which God created as a new Adam without sin.. Jesus creates here between God and human a best bonding which is the holy life like him beyond of this creation .. may be because ..Jesus said I'll give you the tree of life which means jesus want to take us mortal to immortal life
. Jesus here said he give the fruit of tree of life .. Which is everlasting life with love ... Let all humans united and ask God . ... Oh god .. How great you are .. praise the lord ..
"Christ is not the body of his people" .. Wé are the Body of Christ - Jesus the head and we the Body, thus One in Christ. 🌾
James 4:1
God never knew evil, as He is a holy Spirit. His eyes are to holy to look at evil. Satan has been dealt with at the cross of Jesus who was sent as the last Adam to undo whatever went wrong in the first Adam: Rom 5:12-21
The name satan áfter the cross became a verb, a doing word. Those living without the Holy Spirit, they are the satan. Jesus came to make everything new and fresh.
@@eekay5710 God knows evil otherwise he would not say so
Who is US tho ? is he referring to himself as the triune God ?
Yes
In Creative Chaos, I look at some of the extra biblical myths that were the forerunners to these stories. Those myths were still polytheistic. A move towards monotheism is evident in the Genesis texts, but it is by no means complete. Monotheism is not simply a matter of arithmetic - one instead of many - but rather a whole new category of understanding God as the underlying unity, the source from whom all things find existence.
"Us" is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are One. John 17
sorry. after watching i still dont understand. lol.
322 Skull and Bones.
Why the quran and bible dont get along. The quran I beleive I have to check doesn't say that. The man will become like god.
We are little gods
Why "My struggle" as you are complete and perfect in Christ 🤔😊
