I saw this LIVE in Las Vegas at the David Foster and Friends concert! It was amazing. Charice was first brought to the US to appear on Ellen, then later on Oprah, and then performed with Celine at Madison Square Garden, then with David Foster.

Perfection is Charice's singing ability. No question.
Charice was at a whole other level compared to morisette, katrina etc. She appeared on ellen, oprah...had major records and albums in the US and Japan. Acted in dramas in US and many more. Happy for him now, but I really really miss her.

o my Charice.... i miss this girl! i am so glad there is a recording of her in her best, we can visit time and time again! this song and the one she did with the Tenors , "The Prayer" are my classic Charice performance. Actually all of Charice's performances were classic and I will never forget.
charice was a teenage filipina who seem to me to be more than a sensation but a phenomena . more than a decade ago she created a stir in thr major entertainment capitals in the US , canada , japan , korea and europe . although she mingled and rubbed elbows with the whos who in the music business and showbiz i understand was even invited to perform in the white house , the euphoria surrounding her was rather brief fue to personal circumstances . she and another special talent leah salongga who likewise started as a child performer , these two among others are like gems coming from the philippine music industry . the stature and recognition they attained to my assesment would be very tough to duplicate or to parallel in so many aspects . great job featuring this on your reaction channel guys your finely shaped and well kept facial hairs are nonetheless piercing to the eyes too , imposing like making a statenent .

We don't have to compare between Charice & Morsette, they are all good singers. Charice has given honor to our country Philippines.
There are many singers ahead of Charice but it was Charice who inspired other younger Filipino singers to give honor to the Philippines. It was a divine timing to show the World that Filipinos are talented.
Not only Charice, Morsette, there are many more. Filipinos originally are Godly, Loving & Humble people when they sing you can feel it.

🍿💌Charice is a gem. Her Star King performance in South Korea will always be her best performance for me when she totally impressed the Super Junior contestants as well as the judges. She was very young then but already a total performer. Too bad there isn't any clear video of it anymore. Most are reuploads with pixelated video although the audio is still good.

Her story is one that tears me up, because of what she, Charice, must have been dealing with her whole life. I will forever be grateful that we have a record of some of her best stuff. Somewhere in the late 2000 teens Charice became Jake Zyrus. Jake has had a long road but is finally finding his place and is an accomplished singer in his own right. About the clarity where you did the "jjjjjssshhhhhhd…"-David Foster said "Charice is like a laser beam≥" Of course at the time, Charice (Jake) was more know for belting and much of being on point was missed. It is just in the more recent "reaction video" explosion years that Charice's vocal clarity, depth, emotion, range and dynamics are being appreciated. It's never too late, it's said, for listeners to learn and have the same appreciation as from those who know music like you guys.
As for another suggestion, and speaking of how the body explodes with music, I suggest a throwback vidoe and look up Charice in Bangkok in her encore performance of "Halo" esp. since you have both reacted to 2 videos with live band and an an orchestra-Bangkok was singing to a backtrack. (Still worth the watch, though.) As this event is a while back, it might not be easy to look for (zero in on jessica86s or pingchp fancam uploads). Cheers and thanks for this *interrupted* share.

It was actually her stint as a contestant in one of SKorea's singing competition that started her popularity worldwide. It was in that program that paved her way to her US singing journey.
I want to cry whenever I watch performances of Charice. She had soooooo much talent. Until now I think no Filipino singer compares or comes near to her level.
