Marietta is an absolutely gorgeous little town. The Mound cemetery was well worth the trip. So much history there. The stately old homes were breathtaking. The basilica is also stunning.
I must say, I really like this new girl and this new format. She comes across as very down to earth and genuine, yet dresses well and is easy on the eyes. I appreciate knowing that people in my age bracket still carry themselves like that. I also like that David and Natalie are still introducing each scene, but don't have to work so hard with all of the guests and interviews. The new format presents a very relaxed feel to the viewers and lets the guests just tell their stories as they are interviewed by an on air reporter who seems to be engaged with the person across from her, rather than just showing interest for the sake of the camera or for the professionalism. Also, Marietta looks beautiful. I'm a big fan of old architecture, so watching this so far has been a pleasure.
I spent 8 years there in the 70's moved there because my father had a job transfer. it was an inbreed hell. I was a big city kid dropped into the deliverance movie, it was my first experience with true clinical depression. nice place to visit.
Water always seeks it's own level doesn't it? Marietta is a college town that has always attracted intellectual, creative people, but you managed to find people from a deliverance film. BTW it's "inbred" when used as an adjective.

Getting ready to go here this spring! Nice video even 4 years later...
