Excellent handwork! the balance between the organic and geometric lines and shapes makes it very nice to look at, in contrast with other snowflake designs people (and nature) have come up with interesting and relaxing to watch and also satisfying to see you know what you're doing

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that the techniques here are the same as those used in vegetable carving. I just haven't thought about soap carving in, geez, over 30 years at this point. But it looks like the techniques translate directly. Being able to carve a rose out of a radish should mean you can carve one out of a suitable soap, too.

I'm curious can you carve a snowflake with some rose petals on it like some patterns be rose (it's petals or maybe just a rose) and some be snowflake. I want to what it looks like.
I honestly wasn't going to watch this because I thought, "No way can this be for beginners!" It would take a lot of patience but I think anyone who can handle a knife should be able to do this. I really like that there is, so far, not a lot of chatter, I can find the non-stop talking and choice of music, often too loud and quite annoying. The quiet is very restful, peaceful, and welcome. I wonder if a potato peeler would work better in the first stage for getting a really flat surface to work with? I think the blue soap is the perfect color to make a snowflake with, it is a cool color, very frosty looking. This was a great video, I will be checking out more of your content, and THANKS!!
