I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that the techniques here are the same as those used in vegetable carving. I just haven't thought about soap carving in, geez, over 30 years at this point.
But it looks like the techniques translate directly. Being able to carve a rose out of a radish should mean you can carve one out of a suitable soap, too.

Excellent handwork! the balance between the organic and geometric lines and shapes makes it very nice to look at, in contrast with other snowflake designs people (and nature) have come up with

I honestly wasn't going to watch this because I thought, "No way can this be for beginners!"
It would take a lot of patience but I think anyone who can handle a knife should be able to do this.
I really like that there is, so far, not a lot of chatter, I can find the non-stop talking and choice of music,
often too loud and quite annoying.
The quiet is very restful, peaceful, and welcome.
I wonder if a potato peeler would work better in the first stage for getting a really flat surface to work with?
I think the blue soap is the perfect color to make a snowflake with, it is a cool color, very frosty looking.
This was a great video, I will be checking out more of your content, and THANKS!!

A soap surface is a little bit dry and crumbly. of course you can carve the soap without making a smooth surface.

I know some people are telling you to add music in the background, but if you ever have the time. Maybe you can add piano music so it’s more relaxing because as seen most people are not a fan of asmr. Personally those upbeat background music don’t fit into these sort of video that’s supposedly be relaxing. However, it’s just a little suggestion! In the end it’s your channel 😊
