It is exactly a 100 percent justified. Your supposed to have a way out and not intended by game design. Your streak should not die for something out of your control and completely fair for any method to get out.

Imo, coming from the Noita playerbase where dumb interactions like that are commonplace, the first time it happens is the game's fault. If it can be replicated or has circumstances which make it more likely to happen which can be avoided, which this one did, and it happens again, its a skill issue and the streak dies.
