In this tutorial we are going to learn about EJS and how we can use it to get the data from MongoDB Atlas to HTML table.

update on syntax in your server file :
Movie.find().then((movies) => {
res.render("index", {
moviesList: movies
});
............... Reason being that mongo is no longer supporting callbacks but is instead using an async method hope this helps someone out there.

how Can I retrieve data of multiple collection from same Databse in one ejs templet?
in ejs forEach() function ,it shows error that movieList not defined.
It's working and all ty (tho I made the schema code as a separate module) but is there a better way to do all this without need 4356436523 modules like express/ejs? I don't like to have a html file and a ejs file, whats the point of the html file if everything need to be done in the ejs mmh... Geez sometimes I think programming javascript is less messy than call a single variable from external file in html where need 20 bilions of files.

Shouldn't "numbers" be "[1,2,3,4,5,6]"?

😂I also enjoy the keyboard sounds though some people complain.. About err I guess it was required as an argument and without it it wouldn’t recognize the other argument, but I have to rewatch the tutorial to remember better)

Yes I think you had the same issue as me, maybe try passing the error as a first argument in the server.js file

Hi Marina, I hope you are doing well. Your tutorials are great/very helpful. I need to do something similar to this but I don't want to return all the records from the collection. I would like to have fields on the EJS page where parameters will be passed to MongoDB to retrieve a single record and displayed on another EJS page. I also left an IG message for you on this topic.

@@xcellentmotionz I think there’s a dab.collection.count() function that you can use to store the number of documents. You can pass it to ejs the same way as other variables 😌
