OMG fantastic video. We go to the Akumal beach for the first time in December. So looking for to this trip after a long illness. How was your weather btw for December?
Thank you so much! In December 2020, the weather was really great! Just one day was a windy a bit, but we could snorkel in the afternoon!😊 Good luck to you guys! Lovely resort. We are also planning to come back 😊 there.

Thanks for the incredible video! We are going to be at the resort in March. We were last in Akumal in the 90's before the area was built up. I remember how incredible the snorkeling was from the beach back then and I'm glad it's still great.

Thank you! We found this coral right in front of the buffet about 200 meters away. Gorgeous!

I’m going to stay at one of the resorts in this area and snorkeling is my main objective. Thank you so much for posting this, this resort is way up on my list now. I hope you liked the resort As much as you liked the snorkeling! Was the food good?
Thank you for watching ! Yes, we liked this resort and obviously will be back when Canada restart the flights to Mexico. Food was really good! Recommend Gourmet restaurant: delicious Duck cannelloni and Turron de foie. Buffet was always good.
Is that accessible from the beach?
Oh, yes! We have just returned from that resort🙂!
What is the maximum depth of this bay for snorkleing thanks
2 - 3 meters approximately.
Thanks how far do i need to swim out to reach the drop off im a free diver and 2 to 3 meters isnt deep enough for me thanks again

Was the first minute of the video taken from shore or did you have to go on a tour? That coral looks like it is much better shape than the rest!
Yes, all our video was taken from the shore!!!!! This coral we found just on front a buffet. Gorgeous!
is this video showing the roped off area where you have to pay to snorkel with guide?
