i feel like magics pricing is better, where unless its litterly alpha so Thiers 100k black lotus, any early edition bundles are generally fairly priced i.e you have a decent chance of getting your money back and then some. where the yugioh products seem high risk not even that amazing reward money wise. though i know that's not the point of this stuff.
Anything that gives me secret/prismatic rare I'm all for, what yugioh really needs is a good series that has real cultural impact and I think it'll have to have something to do with gambling within the series and hard struggles and emotional conflics for the protagonist

Getting all 3 Sphinx monsters but then finding out the pack does not contain Pyramid of Light or Blue Eyes Shining Dragon was a huge bummer. Luckily I did get 1 when the Movie Pack came out with the DVD release the following year.
I still use the folder to store my favorite cards in it. Plus I love shiny things. Absolutely and WoW Sams favorite two words. We all knew that anyways.
Many People don't know that the reprints from MC 1+2 and Forbidden-Legacy blister set are unique unlike the reprints from Legendary-Collection 1 Binder + Gameboard Edition. The difference is in the index number. MC1+2 and FL reprints have the modern EN- before the index number. The original 1st Edition and Unlimited and the recent Legendary Collection versions do not have the EN- before the index number. There is way to show the difference between the old school Original Unlimited Editions and the L.Collection. L.Collection reprints are thicker and lighter in color than the original old school versions.

It's not about making your money back on cards and packs.(real slim chance but u def could) It's a collector item anymore and rare when sealed. That what makes it worth a lot.

Dunno why this say's $1000 when it's nothing close to that price right now. Still pretty expensive in 200 range but that's a massive difference to 1000 lol
My kid's loved it when I judge the tourney's cause they gave us a choice of money or boxes and I would get 2 boxes per day depending on if I did both days or not then later on it went down to about a box but they weren't sealed. Kid's loved it when I got home and they with their friends be like can we open some of these and I'm like sure have at it but put aside those holo's lol. I miss a lot of those days honestly. Kid's grown up and 1 doesn't even have 1 care in the world for Yugioh and my younger son he still likes it but not in today's formats. You make me want to cry and excited about maybe picking up some packs again. I don't have the means to play again except for online but just having those cards I loved and my kids loved brings back so many fond memories you just can't even imagine how much a game can bond families and friends.
Exodia Necross was also easily the hardest monster to pull from a booster. Don't even want to think about how many I bought, before buying it mint, first edition from ebay for 20 bucks back then... What I gave it away for back in school, is something I want to think about even less.

1:6 packs used to be a super card, 1:12 UR, 1:24 secret in the old packs

I opened my first Ultra in IOC, it was DMOC. I was super stoked and ran around the mall bragging my pull to passers by.
Later on it was stolen in my then LGS, and I had to buy another one from a dude at my LGS.
